Chapter 2487 - 2495: Not Dreaming

Seeing that Lu Shiqi did not mind doing the hard labor, Holly Rosie began to search the cabin, but unfortunately, after a long search, she could not find anything like rope.

"Shiqi, there’s no rope here," Holly Rosie said with a look of frustration.

"How about I go back for help?" Lu Shiqi asked with an inquiring look at Holly Rosie.

"That’s the only option, Shiqi. I’ll wait for you."

"Mm."

With a splash, Lu Shiqi dived into the sea and sped towards Happiness, moving much faster than a speedboat and quickly closing the distance to the ship.

For some reason, Lu Shiqi did not feel tired at all but felt as though the ocean was ceaselessly pumping energy into her body, causing her speed to increase faster and faster!

Suddenly, Lu Shiqi paused, sensing energy fluctuations of the Water System from a distant place.

As a beloved child of the sea, Lu Shiqi was especially sensitive to Water System energies! Soon, she sensed the fluctuations again, but this time, they were not pure and were mixed with other energies.

After feeling these impure Water System energy fluctuations, Lu Shiqi’s spirit was shaken! It was Yu Ge! These impure energy fluctuations were Qin Yu’s!

With a whoosh, Lu Shiqi changed direction and hurried toward the location where Qin Yu and Henderson were fighting!

When Lu Shiqi arrived at the battlefield, her face changed dramatically! It was that energy, that familiar energy—the owner of this energy had exterminated her tribe!

Lu Shiqi looked at Henderson with eyes filled with hatred! She was certain, beyond a doubt, that Henderson was a Divine Chosen Warrior!

Before Lu Shiqi could react, she sensed an incredibly terrifying fluctuation of the Water System! The water within a hundred meters was split open, creating a vacuum zone!

Lu Shiqi was shocked beyond belief, no wonder these Divine Chosen Warriors could exterminate her tribe, they were so powerful!

Lu Shiqi turned her head to look at Qin Yu. She saw him create a water ball out of thin air, step on it with his foot, and then his body soared into the air!

Seeing this scene, Lu Shiqi felt somewhat relieved. If Qin Yu fell into the sea, once the waves recovered, the tremendous water pressure would certainly crush him!

However, Lu Shiqi’s heart soon lifted again. The next scene nearly made her cry out in shock!

She saw Henderson summon a water dragon. Qin Yu, suspended mid-air with nowhere to evade, was struck by the water dragon!

Protected by the Purple Micro Battle Armor, the water dragon did not seriously injure Qin Yu, but it did change his trajectory. Originally supposed to fall back onto the water’s surface, Qin Yu was now hurtling straight into the trench!

Seeing this, Lu Shiqi was horrified and dived frantically towards where Qin Yu was falling!

Qin Yu was very frustrated. His plan had been perfect and he had thought he could easily kill Henderson. He hadn’t expected Henderson to be a Water System Psychic,

and not just any Psychic, but one who had undergone Super Evolution!

Above the sea, Qin Yu had almost no chance of defeating Henderson!

Qin Yu fell with a look of despair, truly out of tricks and only able to watch himself plunge into the trench!

A look of disdain flashed across Henderson’s face. The Grim Reaper, in his presence, was nothing but a pushover, wasn’t he? As long as the sea closed up, the immense water pressure would surely squash him flat!

Lower, even lower! Seeing Qin Yu had already plummeted fifty meters below the water’s surface, Henderson grew ecstatic!

Finally, Henderson felt that Qin Yu had fallen to about the right place! With a grand wave of his hand, boom! Boom! The bifurcated sea slammed back together!

The closing waters gaped like a giant maw, viciously swallowing Qin Yu whole!

Qin Yu wore a look of utter despair as he gazed up at the hundred meters of water above him, feeling certain that this was the end for him! Qin Yu resigned himself to his fate, closed his eyes, and awaited death’s arrival!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Great waves smashed forcefully against Qin Yu’s body. Tik! The Artifact Spirit of the Purple Micro Battle Armor let out a cry of alarm: "Energy consumption too great, reverting to Purple Micro Star Ring form!"

As soon as the Purple Micro Battle Armor vanished, the tremendous water pressure instantly burst the capillaries on the surface of Qin Yu’s body! Qin Yu gave a wry smile, his face etched with despair as he closed his eyes, never imagining he would meet such a gruesome end!

Just as Qin Yu had resigned himself, he suddenly felt a pair of delicate arms wrap around his waist, and two firm shapes pressed against his back! The immense water pressure vanished in an instant!

Qin Yu instinctively opened his eyes and saw his body enveloped by a curious energy that seemed very much at one with the sea. The water wasn’t crushing him!

Huh? This aura, why does it feel so familiar? Qin Yu turned his head in confusion, his eyes widening in disbelief at the sight unfolding before him!

Shiqi? How could it be Shiqi? And her legs...

"Am I dreaming, or am I dead?" Qin Yu laughed mockingly at himself. It was strange; even if he was dreaming, he should have dreamt about Su Ziyan, so why was he dreaming of Lu Shiqi?

"Brother Yu, you’re not dreaming, and you’re not dead!" While speaking, Lu Shiqi suddenly bit Qin Yu’s shoulder, causing him to grimace in pain.

After awakening as a mermaid, Lu Shiqi’s strength was formidable. She could tear off a chunk of flesh from a shark, and even though she had been gentle, Qin Yu could barely endure the pain.

"I believe you, I believe you, let go already."

"Mm." Lu Shiqi released her mouth, but then her face suddenly turned very pale, "Brother Yu, I can’t hold on much longer! Maintaining the mermaid bubble requires too much energy, and I haven’t accumulated enough since my awakening has been too recent."

No sooner had she finished speaking than with a snap, the special energy around Qin Yu vanished. He felt the water pressure again and could no longer open his mouth!

Seeing Qin Yu’s face turn a ghastly shade of bluish-purple, Lu Shiqi quickly grabbed him and ascended rapidly toward the surface, all the while sealing his lips with hers.

Lu Shiqi wasn’t taking advantage; she was transferring oxygen filtered from the seawater into Qin Yu’s lungs!

Qin Yu found the whole situation unreal! To think that a girl he casually saved ended up transforming into a mermaid! Wasn’t that a bit too exaggerated?

Although it was somewhat incomprehensible, Qin Yu was naturally an easygoing person. If something didn’t make sense, he simply wouldn’t dwell on it.

He saved Lu Shiqi once, and now she had saved him in return; they were even, right?

However, that fish tail seemed rather fun to play with. Qin Yu had initially been holding Lu Shiqi at her slim waist, but his hand slowly slid down to the fish tail.

To his surprise, the tail felt incredibly enticing, urging him to not let go.

What Qin Yu didn’t expect was that his fumbling caused Lu Shiqi instant discomfort. The tail of a mermaid, being their mating spot, was exceptionally sensitive!
