Peerless Medical Emperor
Chapter 376: The Fixed Law
These executives would take Mingyue Group’s secrets and experience, seek out more platforms and opportunities, and make even greater contributions to the future of the business world.
Watching their retreating figures, Chen Qingdi couldn’t help but feel a surge of emotion.
He knew this was simply the law of the business world: some people leave, and others join.
And as the chairman of Mingyue Group, his job was to continuously develop new talent, recruit skilled individuals, optimize management, and improve quality... all to lay a more solid foundation for Mingyue Group’s future.
’Mingyue Group won’t stop just because you’ve left,’ Chen Qingdi told himself silently. ’We will keep moving forward, innovating relentlessly, and pursuing excellence... to make an even greater contribution to the future of the business world.’
A few days later, Chen Qingdi’s trusted subordinate, Chen Yuan, came to his office with a grim expression on his face. Chen Qingdi put down the file he was holding, looked up, and gestured for him to sit.
"Boss, my intelligence team has discovered that those executives who just resigned from Mingyue Group are now all employed by a rival company called Kelas Group," Chen Yuan said gravely.
Chen Qingdi frowned. "Kelas Group? I’ve never heard of them."
"That’s right, Boss. The company only recently emerged, and it seems their objective is clear: they’re targeting Mingyue Group. They’ve given those executives key positions, with annual salaries all exceeding two million US Dollars."
Chen Qingdi let out a cold laugh. "They’re that bold? Two million US Dollars? What are they really after?"
"Boss, these people were all managers in the tech department. Now that they’re in the enemy’s hands, I’m afraid they’ll leak technical secrets. That would be extremely detrimental to Mingyue Group," Chen Yuan said, his expression grim.
Chen Qingdi gave Chen Yuan a long look, then smiled. "I doubt that will happen. Let’s just wait and see. We can’t panic just because of some speculation."
"But, Boss, if we don’t take precautions against Kelas Group, I fear other complications may arise. Our tech department has always been our core. If our rivals get control of it, the consequences will be unimaginable," Chen Yuan said urgently.
Chen Qingdi fell silent for a moment. "I understand your concerns. But if we take action against the men who defected, it will dishearten those who remain. After all, they all used to work for Mingyue Group."
Chen Yuan let out a long breath. "Boss, I understand. But we can’t let sentimentality get in the way of protecting the company. I recommend we conduct an in-depth investigation into Kelas Group and keep tabs on them."
Chen Qingdi nodded. "I agree with that. Go make the arrangements. But be discreet. Don’t let anyone else know what we’re doing."
"Right away, Boss. I’m on it," Chen Yuan said, straightening his posture.
After Chen Yuan left, the office fell quiet. Chen Qingdi sat at his desk, a profound light flickering in his eyes as he contemplated his next move.
Meanwhile, at a secret location belonging to Kelas Group, the tech managers recently poached from Mingyue Group were gathered together. They all shared the same topics of conversation and the same goals: how to prove their worth at their new company, and how to counter Mingyue Group.
One of them, a tech manager named Zhang Hao, said with a smile, "Looks like our plan is already starting to pay off. Mingyue Group is beginning to suspect our motives."
Another manager, Li Ming, chimed in, "Yeah, Zhang Hao’s right. We need to show them we’re not the same people we were before. We need to show them that we can shine on a bigger stage now."
Zhang Hao nodded. "That’s right. We need to show them our value isn’t limited to just Mingyue Group. We need to show them that our skills can bring value to many more companies."
Elsewhere, Chen Yuan’s intelligence team had also begun to move. They delved deep into Kelas Group’s background and motives, gathering intelligence on their activities. It was a silent contest, a challenge of wits and courage.
As time went on, the situation grew clearer. Kelas Group’s objective wasn’t just to compete with Mingyue Group; it was to get their hands on a key technology that would allow them to dominate the market in the future. And that technology happened to be one of Mingyue Group’s core secrets.
Upon hearing this news, Chen Qingdi took a deep breath. "It seems our decision was the right one," he murmured. "We have to act."
In the chairman’s office at Kelas Group, Chairman Kelas sat at his desk, holding a list of technical staff from Mingyue Group. Standing before him were several of the executives who had defected, their expressions a mixture of nervousness and anticipation as they waited for him to speak.
Kelas gave a disdainful smile, put the list down, and looked up at the executives. "You’re all former technical staff from Mingyue Group," he said. "You’re familiar with a great deal of their product technology. If you’re willing to share those files and documents with us, you will, of course, be handsomely rewarded."
One of the executives couldn’t resist asking, "Chairman Kelas, what sort of benefits, exactly?"
A small smile touched Kelas’s lips. "You don’t need to worry about that," he answered. "We’ll provide other benefits on top of your two-million-US-Dollar salaries. As long as you share Mingyue Group’s technology with us, we certainly won’t treat you unfairly."
Another executive hesitated before asking, "And what if we’re not willing to share?"
Kelas’s expression darkened. "You should be very clear on this," he replied coldly. "There will be absolutely no downsides for you. We at Kelas Group are reasonable people; we won’t resort to any inappropriate measures. We simply hope you can contribute to our company so that we can all develop together."
The executives glanced at one another, silently weighing the pros and cons.
They knew they belonged to Kelas Group now; there was no turning back. One by one, they all voiced their willingness to share Mingyue Group’s technology with Kelas Group.
Chairman Kelas nodded in satisfaction. "Very good," he said. "As long as you work hard for my company, there will be absolutely no disadvantages for you. I will give you every possible advantage."
A few days later, the tech staff at Kelas Group were abuzz with activity.
