Everyone immediately fell silent.

Sophia looked around at the quiet faces and blinked.

"As expected, sister. Your tongue is as sharp as ever."

"What do you mean sharp? I am practically thinking about people’s welfare. On top of that, I haven’t seen Ethan for so long. Wuwueueue."

Her expression suddenly collapsed as she began to cry.

Lina appeared from behind and hugged Sophia around the shoulders before muttering, "Just accept it, sister. You are thirsty."

Sophia froze.She quickly wriggled her way around in Lina’s arms.

"Of course not. I just miss him."

Hearing this, Lia and the others couldn’t help but giggle.

"Miss him or miss getting pounded?" Amber interjected from behind.

Sophia immediately turned toward her.

"Shut up, you horny bitches. Stop provoking me."

Her words lightened the heavy atmosphere, and several of the women laughed. Regalina, however, had already turned red after hearing their conversation. She lowered her head and tried her best to hide her embarrassment.

Sophia noticed her flushed face and immediately smiled.

"Hehehe. We forgot we have an innocent sister among us."

Regalina coughed lightly to hide her embarrassment, but that only made Sophia tease her even more.

"Don’t worry, sister Regalina. Once Ethan comes, we will make sure that you become his wife."

Regalina’s face became even redder.

Sophia leaned closer with a knowing smile.

"Believe me. The experience will blow your mind, especially Ethan. He will bring you to an entirely new world."

The more they talked, the dirtier their conversation became, and Regalina was practically turning bright red from embarrassment. She covered part of her face with her hands while the others continued laughing and teasing her.

For a while, the heavy atmosphere inside the hall disappeared because of their conversation. They continued talking until suddenly, the doors were pushed open.

A maid rushed inside.

"My Ladies..."

Her sudden entrance immediately stopped the conversation. The maid was breathing heavily, and her face was filled with excitement. Seeing her expression, everyone stood up.

"What happened?" they asked with faint unease.

The maid looked at them for a moment before speaking.

"It’s over."

Everyone froze.

"We won."

"What did you say?"

The maid’s eyes filled with tears of excitement as she smiled.

"As you heard, my Lady... We have wonnnnn!"

The words struck their ears like thunder.

For a brief moment, nobody moved.

Then the meaning finally registered.

They had won the war.

The ladies rushed toward the study room as quickly as they could. The earlier joy on their faces had already disappeared after hearing that something serious was happening inside. When they reached the door, they slowed down and exchanged uneasy looks before entering.

A sombre atmosphere filled the room.

Inside, Rathlos, Duke Osantra, and Duke Lancelot were seated around a large crystal ball. Their expressions were grave as they stared at the image of Ethan appearing inside it. No one spoke for a moment, as if they were still trying to understand what they had just heard.

The ladies immediately noticed their expressions and became worried.

Sophia stepped forward and looked at the crystal ball.

"What happened?"

Rathlos slowly raised his head. His face still carried disbelief.

"It is over."

The words made everyone freeze.

"What did you say?"

"Say it again?" Duke Osantra asked in shock.

Rathlos took a slow breath before repeating himself.

"The war is over."

Everyone stared at the crystal ball in disbelief.

"The war is over?"

Duke Lancelot’s fingers tightened around the armrest. Even he found it difficult to accept what he was hearing.

"How?"

His voice was low, but the shock in it was clear.

"How did you take down Alaster?"

Ethan remained calm on the other side of the crystal ball.

"I didn’t play any major hand in it. It was all the work of the other Emperors. They played an active role in all of this and took down the prime culprit."

The room became quiet again.

Duke Osantra stared at Ethan for several seconds as if trying to see whether he was hiding something.

"The four Emperors?"

Ethan nodded.

"Yes."

Duke Lancelot lowered his gaze for a moment.

He didn’t think that Arcadia would fall this easily. The Alaster he knew wasn’t an easy opponent who could be defeated without a long struggle. The war might have gone on for years if the situation had remained the same, but everything changed once the four Emperors arrived.

He slowly raised his eyes toward the crystal ball.

"Tell us everything that happened."

Ethan remained silent for a moment before beginning to narrate the events.

He told them about the battle. He explained how Alaster fought against them and how the four Emperors worked together to bring him down. He explained the major events that had happened during the fight, but he left out the appearance of his future self.

That part had been jointly agreed upon.

The truth about who had played the most important role in the battle would remain hidden. The four Emperors would receive the credit for defeating Alaster, and Ethan would receive the benefits that had been agreed upon in return.

If they decided to go back on their word later, Ethan already had a way to deal with them.

He could simply call another version of himself from the future and let that version pummel them.

As Ethan continued explaining the battle, Duke Lancelot listened without saying a word. His brows remained tightly furrowed, and his mind slowly became clouded with thoughts.

After Ethan cut the call,Duke Lancelot shook his head with a look of nostalgia.

"I can’t believe people change so much.’

Even though the circumstances had changed, the memories of the past remained.He closed his eyes for a moment.

Scenes from years ago flashed through his mind.

Duke Lancelot’s gaze remained fixed on the crystal ball, but his thoughts had already drifted far away from the present.

The voices around him slowly became distant as an old memory surfaced in his mind.It was a memory from the days when Arcadia was still young.
