Chapter 752:The Emperor Should Hang Himself
Chapter 752: 752:The Emperor Should Hang Himself
Future Ethan remained silent for a moment before speaking.
"It’s done."
His calm voice carried across the ruined battlefield.
"Handle the aftermath yourself."
After saying this, his gaze lingered on Ethan for a few moments. There was no need for more words between the two. Future Ethan simply looked at him before his body slowly became transparent. His divine glow faded away, and his figure finally disappeared into thin air as though he had never been there.
The moment Future Ethan disappeared, everyone turned toward Ethan.
Their gazes were stiff and complicated.
Nobody spoke for a while.
"Where did you get this power?"Queen Ophelia asked in amazement.

"Where did you get this power?"Queen Ophelia asked in amazement.
Ethan, waiting for the question, smiled.
"I resolved the crisis of these abyssal cults summoning demons previously. The Goddess of Light personally appeared to help me and bestowed this power."
"For real?"Queen Ophelia blinked her eyes.
"Of course or do you think I am lying?"
’’I can even use the power of light without joining the Church.Isn’t that proof enough.’’
Emperor Alderic nodded hearing this."Now that you put it that way,it’s quite fitting."
They had just witnessed what Ethan’s future self could do. A being who had appeared from the future had completely crushed Agros, an existence who had been strong enough to lock the entire space and make even the Emperors lose hope. The thought alone made everyone feel uneasy.
If Ethan could call upon such a terrifying future self again, what would happen if he ever turned against them?
The thought crossed everyone’s mind.
If Ethan decided to act against them now, could they survive?
The answer was obvious.
They would probably all die.
Several people quietly sighed in relief. They were thankful that they had never become hostile toward Ethan. Instead, they had fought alongside him and even built a good relationship with him. At this moment, that decision seemed more valuable than ever.
Emperor Caelus was unable to tolerate the suffocating silence anymore. He coughed lightly and looked toward the others.
"Since it’s over, let’s go back."
He glanced at the ruined battlefield before continuing.
"The real work will begin now."
Emperor Aldric looked around at the destruction left behind by the battle. His eyes slowly swept across the broken mountains, the massive craters, and the countless traces of destroyed magic. Just thinking about the work waiting for them made his expression tired.
"Yeah! The mess left behind by this is gonna be a huge pain."
The others nodded silently.
There was nothing more to say.
The four Emperors exchanged a final glance before turning around and leaving with their knights. Their figures quickly disappeared into the distance, leaving behind only a strong gust of wind that swept across the barren land.
Ethan remained there for a moment, quietly watching them leave.
The battlefield had finally become silent.
But the silence would not erase what had happened here.
The mountains had been destroyed. The land had been turned into a massive wasteland. Ash and soot covered the ground while broken weapons and pieces of armor remained scattered everywhere. The traces of blood and energy had already soaked deep into the earth.
This place would probably remain scarred for hundreds of years.
.....
It had been days since worry had clouded Blank City. The entire city had been placed under lockdown, and the usually busy streets had become strangely quiet. Trade had stopped, transport had been restricted, and the gates leading in and out of the city were heavily guarded. Merchants could no longer bring their goods from outside, while many people had begun worrying about how long the situation would continue. Even the servants and workers inside the Blank Estate could feel the tension that had settled over the city.
Rina sat inside one of the estate’s large halls while looking through the details brought by a servant. Her face was solemn as she went through the reports about the supplies and the situation outside. A few others were gathered around her, and the worried expressions on their faces showed that they had also realized something was wrong.
"What happened, Rina? You are looking so tense?"
Rina massaged her throbbing forehead and let out a tired sigh before placing the report down. "The lockdown was unexpected. Though we are safe, we haven’t prepared enough."
Her words immediately made the atmosphere heavy. Sophia, who had been sitting nearby, frowned and leaned forward.
"What happened?"
"It’s the supplies. We are practically self-sufficient, but not completely."
"Do we have a problem with supplies?" Regalina asked with concern as she looked around at everyone. "As far as I know, the Blank Estate grows itself and is self-reliant, isn’t it?"
"It is, but not everything is grown here. We still need to procure things. What we grow is mostly used for commerce, while common things are brought from outside cheaply so that we can control the quality and quantity of cash crops and food crops for sale."
Rina tapped her finger against the report as she explained. "Normally, this system works perfectly because we can purchase the cheaper necessities from outside while keeping our own production focused on things that bring us more profit. But with the entire city under lockdown, that supply chain has been cut off."
"Even if we don’t face any problem, the people will."
Julia nodded and added, "The economy will also be affected."
The women exchanged worried glances. They could already imagine the problems that would appear if the lockdown continued for too long. The Blank Estate had enough resources to survive for some time, but the city itself was much harder to maintain. Food, medicine, tools, clothing, and countless other daily necessities still had to come from somewhere.
Sophia suddenly clenched her fists.
"It’s all because of that damned stupid Emperor. Just why doesn’t he die early?"
Everyone looked toward her.
"As an Emperor, he should think well of people and hang himself, shouldn’t he?"
