Chapter 500:Volcanus Vs Ethan

“Dragon-Human..”

“ARGHHHH!”

“Which nefarious son of a bitch dared to commit this atrocity…”

“Bastard…How dare you mate with low level species…”

“ARGHHHH!”

Volcanus roared, and his body trembled violently in anger. The lava pool around him churned and rose, reacting to his rage as the entire area shook once again.

The roar did not fade. It spread outward like a living force, shaking the sky and churning the lava sea below. The air trembled, and even the clouds above seemed to ripple under the pressure.

“Who?”

“Who is your father?”

Ethan was stunned for a moment when he saw Volcanus losing his composure over this. His brows furrowed slightly, and his eyes narrowed as he tried to understand the reaction.

What the fuck?

What’s up with this guy’s problem?

Why is this guy getting riled up so much?

“Stop standing and tell me?”

Ethan hesitated for a brief second. His thoughts moved quickly, but nothing suitable came to mind.

What should he even say?

I got dragon blood from the system.

That sounded ridiculous even in his own head.He exhaled lightly and then straightened his posture.

“Sorry..You don’t need to know…Defeat me first.”

He stood in the air, steady and silent, while the heat waves rolled past him. His clothes fluttered slightly, but his body remained still. His eyes stayed fixed on Volcanus, calm but sharp, as if measuring every breath the dragon took.

Below, the lava pool surged violently. Thick waves of molten rock rose and collapsed, and pillars of fire burst out like explosions. The ground around the volcano cracked further, spreading like a web as it struggled to withstand the pressure building in the atmosphere.

Volcanus slowly lifted his head.

“I see..Goood..I haven’t fought for a few centuries..”

“I will start with you, flexing my shoulders and beating you to confession, dirty half breed.”

It seemed Ethan had thoroughly irked Volcanus.

Lava dripped from his jaws, thick and glowing, and his massive chest expanded as he breathed heavily. Each breath released a wave of heat that distorted the space around him. His eyes, burning like suns, locked onto Ethan with pure fury.

“Dragonborn..No Half breed…”

His voice dropped lower, but it carried more weight and danger.

“You carry the blood… yet you stand with them…”

The space around him began to distort more violently. The heat was no longer just heat. It felt alive, as if it was responding directly to his anger and feeding off it.

Ethan exhaled slowly. His fingers flexed once, and faint crimson patterns appeared across his arm before fading again. His expression stayed calm, but there was a faint tension in his jaw.

“I didn’t come here to explain my blood,” he said, his voice steady.

“I came here to take you.”

Volcanus’ wings spread wide, stretching across the sky like a burning curtain.

For a moment, everything went still.

Then..

BOOOOM!

The volcano behind him erupted.

A massive column of fire and ash shot into the sky, and the lava pool expanded outward like a bursting ocean. The entire region turned into a burning domain, as if the world itself had become a furnace under Volcanus’ control.

“I gave you a chance,” Volcanus growled, his voice echoing in every direction.

“Now burn with it.”

SWOOSH!

His body disappeared.

Despite his enormous size, Volcanus moved with terrifying speed. In an instant, he appeared above Ethan, and his massive claw descended like a falling mountain.

The air split apart under the force, and a sharp pressure crushed downward.

Ethan’s pupils shrank and he vanished.

The claw slammed down, missing him by a fraction, and struck the ground below.

BOOOOM!

The impact shattered the surface, and lava exploded upward in a violent wave. The shockwave spread for kilometers, flattening everything in its path and sending debris flying in all directions.

Ethan reappeared in the distance, his body slightly tilted as he steadied himself midair. His breathing had grown heavier, but his expression did not change. His eyes remained locked on Volcanus.

“He’s faster than before…” he muttered under his breath.

Before he could think further..

ROAR!

A massive, burning tail swept toward him from the side, tearing through the air with unstoppable force.

Ethan raised his arm and reinforced it with energy and draconic scales. A faint layer of hardened scales formed over his skin just as the attack reached him.

The impact hit.

BOOOOM!

His body was sent flying across the sky like a projectile. The force was overwhelming, and he crashed through a distant rocky ridge, shattering it completely. Stones and debris collapsed over him, burying him under the rubble.

For a moment, there was silence.

Then..

CRACK.

The rocks shifted.

Ethan pushed them aside and stepped out, dust and ash falling off his shoulders. A faint burn mark was visible on his arm, and his clothes were slightly torn, but his posture remained straight.

He rolled his shoulder once and looked back at Volcanus.

“…Good,” he said quietly.

The scales along his back began to glow again, brighter this time. A faint draconic aura started to leak out, mixing with the surrounding heat and slowly pushing against it.

“I was worried this would be one-sided.”

High above, Volcanus narrowed his eyes.

He could feel it now.

That presence.

That blood.

“…You’re not just a mixed breed,” he said slowly, his voice filled with suspicion and anger.

Ethan did not reply.

Instead, he stepped forward in the air.

The space beneath his feet cracked slightly, as if it could not fully support the pressure he carried anymore.

Swoosh!

He disappeared again.

This time, he did not retreat.

He appeared directly in front of Volcanus’ face.

For the first time, the dragon’s eyes widened slightly.

Ethan pulled his arm back, and crimson energy gathered rapidly around his fist, compressing into a dense and violent force. The air around his hand trembled under the pressure.

Then he drove it forward.

BOOOOM!

The punch landed straight on Volcanus’ jaw.

A shockwave exploded outward, tearing through the clouds and pushing the lava below into towering waves. Volcanus’ massive head snapped to the side, and his body was forced backward through the air.

For a brief moment, everything went silent.

Then Volcanus steadied himself. Slowly, he turned his head back.

The fury in his eyes had not decreased. Instead, it had deepened.

“Well,it seems you have some strength,” he said, his voice low and filled with killing intent.

“Then die properly.”

The flames around his body surged higher, and the sky itself seemed to burn as the heat intensified.
