Chapter 242: Deer Enclosure Manager Registration, A Stuffed Inbox
Ning Fei naturally agreed to Jiang Feng's offer.
Friendship was friendship, and business was business.
The two exchanged a few private messages and touched upon Jiang Xue. Hearing that she was no longer in any serious danger, Ning Fei felt reassured.
It was worth mentioning that Jiang Feng had previously transferred 20 million to Ning Fei as the final payment for the treatment.
They agreed that Xuanhu Medical Center would send someone over to collect the pearl.
After that, Ning Fei busied himself with other matters.
Old Bi informed him that the Forestry Bureau had officially approved his application for the deer enclosure, and the relevant paperwork would be delivered soon.
He could finally begin construction on the deer enclosure.
Upon hearing the news, Ning Fei decided to make a trip down the mountain.
He packed his things, gathered the little ones into his car, and drove back to Qingfeng Temple.Things were still a bit chaotic outside. As Ning Fei drove up the slope beside Qingfeng Temple, he noticed a few young fans taking group photos in front of the Daoist temple.
He didn't say much about it. He simply opened the doors to Qingfeng Temple, let the little guys inside, changed his clothes, and then drove straight toward Qincheng.
"Today I'm heading to Haihe Decoration Company to discuss building the deer enclosure," Ning Fei told the viewers in the live stream.
"It's about time we broke ground on it."
This was something Ning Fei had been looking forward to for a long time.
After all, building a deer enclosure of his own at the foot of the mountain was a wonderful feeling.
After arriving down the mountain, Ning Fei noticed that Haihe Decoration Company's own decor had become much more imposing.
Liu Hui was truly a formidable figure. Back in the day, he grew up in Qinshan Village eating from a hundred families. He started doing manual labor on construction sites at fourteen, learned the ins and outs of the building industry, and step by step, rose to become the big boss of his own company.
Moreover, he was a decent person. He was decisive in business, yet deeply understood social graces in private. Many people in Qinshan Village had received his help in return.
After receiving Ning Fei's call, Liu Hui had already sent someone to wait at the entrance specifically to welcome him.
The receptionist was exceptionally polite to Ning Fei, her eyes practically rippling with affection. As she led the way, she occasionally walked a few steps ahead of him in an exaggerated catwalk, deliberately swaying her hips in a seductive manner.
Watching this scene, however, Ning Fei was reminded of Aunt Liu's two old sows walking side by side—their rears swayed in the exact same way.
The receptionist was highly confident in her figure and looks. Every man who walked into the company always gave her a second look.
Who knew how she would feel if she learned what Ning Fei was actually thinking.
"Please come in, Mr. Ning. Chairman Liu is waiting for you inside," the receptionist said in a cloying voice. She leaned forward, gazing up at Ning Fei while striking a sultry pose.
Presented with such a posture, most men wouldn't be able to stop their imaginations from running wild.
Ning Fei simply said, "Alright," before pushing the door open and stepping straight into Liu Hui's office without sparing her another glance.
Inside the office, Liu Hui first exchanged a few pleasantries with Ning Fei.
"Oh, if it isn't Grandmaster Ning! I watched the broadcast on Huaxia Channel 3 the other day. Truly worthy of being the Temple Master of Qingfeng Temple—impressive!" Liu Hui laughed heartily upon seeing him.
"I just happened to know a bit about traditional Chinese painting, so I went," Ning Fei replied with a smile and a nod.
"You mentioned on the phone that you have another big project. What is it? Are you expanding the Daoist temple?"
Ning Fei took out the blueprints and laid them on Liu Hui's desk. "This project should be even bigger than the renovation of Qingfeng Temple."
It was the same style of blueprints as before.
When Liu Hui saw the hand-drawn blueprints on the desk, his expression shifted.
Although he was the head of a decoration company, he was also an expert at reading blueprints; otherwise, he never would have reached his current position.
A self-made man like him had worked his way up through every position. His subordinates couldn't fool him, which was why his business was booming.
Second-generation heirs or people with connections who parachuted into leadership roles were easily tricked by their employees if they lacked professional knowledge.
Because of this, Liu Hui understood the blueprints perfectly.
He first looked at the panoramic view of the deer enclosure. Rendered in the style of an ink wash painting, it looked like a sprawling palace, complete with flowers, grass, and deer.
The ink painting was as beautiful as ever, drawing a click of admiration from Liu Hui.
The panorama was one thing, but the structural diagrams that followed made Liu Hui's expression turn unusually serious.
Wenyan Deer Enclosure.
The deer rearing area, living quarters, and work zones were all entirely separated, yet perfectly integrated. Interspersed between them were two landscaped parks and numerous garden decorations. The overall design was flawless.
The entire enclosure resembled an ancient palace. The water and electrical lines were already marked out, all routed neatly underground in an orderly layout.
After all, construction was never a simple matter.
An architectural designer had to consider incredibly complex issues—how to route water and electricity, where to direct wastewater, where to place the septic tank, and what layout would be optimal.
Yet now, Ning Fei's stack of blueprints solved every single one of those problems.
Liu Hui marveled at the designs. Even the architectural engineers at his company couldn't necessarily produce such exquisite blueprints.
"Did you design all of this?" Liu Hui asked, looking up after setting the papers down.
"Yes. I pictured it in my head, then I drew it out," Ning Fei nodded, downplaying the effort.
"You..." Liu Hui gave a helpless laugh. "I am completely in awe of you. If I knew I actually had a chance of hiring you, I'd bring you into my company just to do architectural design."
Ning Fei smiled, noncommittal.
Liu Hui knew that there was no comparing some people.
Having fought his way up since childhood, he had seen all kinds of people.
Putting aside the massive differences in family backgrounds, there were also vast disparities in personality and intelligence.
During his time in the business world, he had encountered a few truly formidable figures.
One in particular was genuinely incredible—steady and composed in character, yet decisive and swift when taking action. His investments always yielded massive profits. In private, he and his wife would make anonymous donations and live an exceptionally peaceful life.
Liu Hui had learned a lot from that person.
The man had also started from scratch, but his journey had been smooth sailing. The things Liu Hui had risked his life to achieve, the other person had easily accomplished just by seizing a few opportunities.
Now, Ning Fei's abilities made Liu Hui sigh in realization once again: some people were truly born to be the main characters in life.
"Since the blueprints are finished, all that's left is to break ground. This definitely saves a lot of time," Liu Hui said, his tone growing serious as they got down to business.
"This is a massive project. Luckily, it's almost the end of the year, so I have plenty of available hands. I can send more workers over."
"How about this: if we rush the work, we can get both the construction and the interior decorating done in a month and a half."
Hearing Liu Hui's estimate, Ning Fei thought for a moment before replying, "I'm willing to pay an expediting fee. Can it be done any faster?"
In the construction industry, when the total workload is fixed, adding more workers and equipment could indeed drastically reduce the timeframe.
"Are you in that much of a hurry?" Liu Hui asked.
"Not exactly a hurry. I just happened to make some money, so I figured I might as well get the deer enclosure finished as early as possible," Ning Fei answered.
"Alright then. If you add 30 percent to the budget, I can guarantee completion within a month."
"It's the end of the year anyway, high time we pushed for some performance targets."
"And since the workers all want to earn a bit extra before the New Year, they'll definitely work hard. The speed will absolutely be there."
Satisfied with Liu Hui's answer, Ning Fei finally nodded.
Afterward, Liu Hui brought along a construction manager from Haihe Decoration and followed Ning Fei to inspect the chosen site.
They arrived at the foot of Qinshan. Looking out, they saw that the area was perfectly flat, flanked by high mountains on both sides. It was an excellent location for construction.
"This place is fantastic," Liu Hui praised profusely.
"I've already applied for this plot. The Government's approval should come down tomorrow," Ning Fei said.
"Once you have the paperwork, we'll break ground immediately. You don't need to worry about a thing."
"Good."
With everything settled, Ning Fei had nothing left to worry about.
The engineering quality of Haihe Decoration Company was entirely trustworthy.
All Ning Fei had to do was show his face when the construction was finished.
Ning Fei hadn't turned on his stream while visiting Haihe Company, but now that he was back outdoors, the live stream was up and running.
The viewers were thrilled to see that he had struck a deal with the construction company.
On his way back, Ning Fei chatted with the netizens.
"The Wenyan Deer Enclosure is just about to begin construction."
"However, since I still need to take care of the little ones at Qingfeng Temple, I won't be able to stay at the deer enclosure all the time."
"Moving forward, the deer enclosure will need to hire staff. The most important position is the enclosure manager. This person must be caring and capable of managing the property. Those with experience will be given priority."
"It would be best if they are from Qincheng. Otherwise, living in such a remote place will be quite inconvenient for them."
Hearing Ning Fei's announcement, the viewers immediately grew excited.
"What? Did I hear that right? Ning Guan master is hiring?"
"Manager of the Wenyan Deer Enclosure?"
"How's the salary? Are there full benefits? Do we get paid time off?"
"Forget all that. None of it matters as long as I get to be the manager."
"This is the best chance to become an apprentice to Ning Guan master!"
"I want to sign up! Where do I apply?"
Many people clamored to register.
Manager of the deer enclosure! It was a management role, and it was inside a palace-level estate like the Wenyan Deer Enclosure, which rivaled an imperial garden.
Anyone who yearned for nature would probably jump at this position.
"As for where to apply, it'll be through my email. You can all send your self-introductions and resumes there."
"I'll be strictly screening candidates for the manager position, so please only apply if you truly feel you meet the requirements."
Ning Fei announced his email address before continuing.
Since he couldn't constantly visit the deer enclosure, he definitely needed an executive manager and plenty of staff on-site.
This made the role of the manager especially crucial. They had to be caring and genuinely capable of looking after the fawns.
Afterward, Ning Fei returned to Qingfeng Temple.
He first opened his inbox to take a look, wondering if anyone had already submitted an application.
The moment his inbox loaded, a trace of astonishment surfaced on his face.
His previously empty inbox was now densely packed with emails. All of them were newly sent, looking to be nearly a thousand strong.
How long was it going to take to read through all of this?
Ning Fei shook his head in resignation.
It seemed that working in human resources wasn't an easy job, either.
