Chapter 70

Orion took a deep breath before slowly exhaling, feeling as though the system was giving him too many cheats.

First, there were the five mystical treasures in his storage. Then came his S-Rank skill, followed by the Origin skills he had discovered, including the Origin State and its terrifying effects. Now, he had received the Origin Blessing, which would continue increasing his attributes automatically every day.

And there were still countless locked skills and features waiting for him to unlock them!

What the hell was going on?

Was the Origin System deliberately trying to turn him into some kind of monster?

Orion couldn’t help wondering. Then again, considering everything he had experienced so far, perhaps that was exactly what the system intended.

Whatever the case, his power had already reached a point where even he couldn’t accurately determine just how strong he was. He knew one thing for certain, though: he was extremely powerful, far more powerful than he had been yesterday, and he hadn’t even begun to explore the full extent of his abilities!

Orion felt a strange mixture of excitement and disbelief. If he continued progressing at this rate, the gap between him and ordinary warriors would only grow wider.

The only question was how far he could go and, more importantly, whether he could grow strong enough to fulfill the ridiculous demands of his Main Quest.

Reaching Level 100 within five years...

He still couldn’t believe the system had given him such an outrageous task.

Nevertheless, he had already made his decision. He would grow stronger as quickly as possible, make use of every advantage available to him, uncover the secrets of his system, and do everything in his power to complete the quest.

He wasn’t going to let the Origin choose another host, not after everything he had gained, not after everything he had lost, and certainly not after finally receiving the chance to break free from the fate that had once been imposed upon him.

Orion was determined to keep moving forward.

However, before he could continue exploring his system, his extraordinarily heightened senses suddenly picked up the sound of footsteps approaching his room.

His attention shifted immediately.

Someone was coming.

Orion tilted his head slightly toward the door. Now that he thought about it, there was something rather funny about the situation.

With his senses sharpened to such an extraordinary degree, he should have noticed Nurse Iryn and the others approaching earlier. Yet, he hadn’t reacted until they had already entered the room.

Or rather, it wasn’t that he hadn’t sensed them at all. He had simply been too absorbed in examining his system to pay much attention to anything happening around him.

His focus had been entirely occupied by the information appearing before his eyes, leaving little room for him to consciously acknowledge the sounds and movements in his surroundings. Now that he had finished examining the most important parts of his system, however, he could direct his attention elsewhere.

And the difference was immediately apparent.

He could clearly sense the approaching footsteps, their rhythm, their distance, and even the subtle changes in their pace as they drew closer to the room.

Orion’s gaze shifted toward the door, which was pushed open a second later.

The doctor from earlier stepped inside. He gave Orion a small smile before moving slightly to the side, revealing the figure standing behind him.

Orion’s attention immediately settled on the newcomer.

She was clad in vibrant red and silver battle armor that fitted her figure perfectly, the metallic surfaces catching the light and giving her an imposing yet elegant appearance. Her long blonde hair cascaded down her back, flowing smoothly over the armor in a way that made her look even more striking.

And her eyes...

They were a pair of emerald-green eyes that seemed to sparkle like stars scattered across the vastness of space.

With a single glance, anyone could tell that she was exceptionally beautiful. In fact, her beauty was the kind that could easily draw the attention of anyone who laid eyes on her.

She possessed a striking appearance, an elegant bearing, and the kind of presence that made it difficult to ignore her.

However, her beauty wasn’t what caught Orion’s attention. Not really.

What truly caught his attention was her aura.

She was an Awakened.

Of course she was.

Given her appearance and the battle armor she wore, Orion had already expected her to be an Awakened. But she wasn’t just any ordinary warrior.

The aura radiating from her body was far too powerful to belong to someone at the lower levels. It carried a familiar weight, one that immediately reminded Orion of the power he had sensed from a certain individual in the past.

An Elite-Level warrior.

And not a weak one, either.

Her aura was powerful and well-developed, suggesting that she stood much closer to the peak of the Elite Level than to its beginning. In terms of presence alone, she reminded him of Sir Dwaine.

Orion’s eyes widened ever so slightly as a name suddenly flashed through his mind.

Sky Dancer... Lady Katherine.

This had to be her!

There was no doubt about it.

Orion reached that conclusion almost instantly. After all, the doctor had already mentioned that Lady Katherine was the one who had brought him to the hospital.

She was also a member of the Warriors Guild, known by the title Sky Dancer. Judging by the aura she possessed, she certainly seemed powerful enough to have earned such a reputation.

The doctor bowed deeply toward the woman.

"Lady Katherine."

His voice carried a degree of respect that made it clear he wasn’t simply addressing an ordinary patient or visitor.

Katherine acknowledged him with a slight nod, and the doctor then took his leave, apparently deciding that his presence was no longer necessary.

The door closed behind him with a soft click.

And just like that, Orion found himself alone with the woman he had been waiting to meet.

Lady Katherine.

The Sky Dancer.

One of the members of the Dungeon X raid and, according to what the doctor had told him earlier, the person who had brought him to the hospital after he had been found.

Katherine slowly walked forward. Her steps were measured and unhurried, and her gaze remained fixed on Orion as she approached the table.

There was something calm and cool about her expression, yet it wasn’t entirely cold. If anything, her eyes carried a faint gentleness, as though she were carefully observing someone she had already formed an opinion about.

She eventually reached the chair opposite Orion and sat down. The movement was smooth and natural, her red and silver armor shifting slightly as she settled into place.

Orion continued looking at her.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

He had been curious about Katherine ever since the doctor had mentioned her name. After all, she was the person who had brought him to the hospital, and more importantly, she had been part of the Dungeon X raid.

She might know what had happened inside the dungeon. She might know what had happened to the other raiders, and she might even be able to answer some of the questions that had been troubling him ever since he awakened.

Orion had a lot he wanted to ask her.

However, before he could open his mouth, he noticed something peculiar about her gaze.

Katherine was looking at him as though she wanted to bore a hole straight through his body. Her expression remained calm, and there was no obvious hostility in her eyes, yet the intensity of her stare made Orion feel slightly uncomfortable.

He shifted his attention toward her face, wondering what exactly she was trying to discern.

Was there something on his face? Had she noticed something unusual about him? Or was she simply the kind of person who stared at others without feeling the slightest bit awkward?

Orion couldn’t tell.

Still, he wasn’t particularly fond of being examined in silence. He offered her a polite smile, preparing to ask why she was looking at him that way, but before he could speak, Katherine finally opened her lips.

"And you are Orion Stormblade..."

Her voice was calm and measured, but there was something sharp beneath that composure.

"The only survivor of the Dungeon X raid."

Orion’s eyebrow rose in confusion.

Katherine’s emerald eyes sharpened as she leaned forward ever so slightly, her gaze never leaving his face.

"Mr. Orion..."

A brief silence followed before she spoke again.

"I fear you have a lot of questions to answer."

Orion’s smile froze.
