Only Female In A Beast Tribe: Crazymen Fight To Pamper The Villainess!
Chapter 260: Review
Chapter 260: 260: Review
Everyone watched curiously as Vale fed the three cubs. They remained silent, waiting to see how the little ones would react to the food.
After giving them a few spoonfuls of the sweet potato porridge, Vale smiled and asked, "So? How is it? How do you like it?"
"..."
There was silence. The triplet snakes sat there, running their tongues around their mouths as they tilted their heads, trying to understand what they had just tasted.
Immediately, Neris made a funny face and turned to the other two. The three cubs stared at each other before making equally funny faces at the strange taste.
"Papa, did you make this?" Neris asked, staring up at Vale.
Vale nodded proudly. "Yes. Your one and only Papa made this."
But Neris and the others sighed as they shook their heads.
"Papa, you’re a good fighter and warrior, so I think you should stick to that for now," Neris said honestly.
"Yes. Let Mama and the Rabbit Chef do the cooking for now," Nat agreed with a serious nod.
"..."
There was silence for a while as Rai and Kan struggled to hide their laughter. Ash couldn’t hold it in and started laughing softly, only for Vale’s eyes to immediately meet his.
Ayra shook her head and said, "It’s not that bad. For a first try, it’s still good, so don’t feel bad at all."
She tried to comfort them while the triplet snakes happily resumed circling around Ayra and gently playing around her in their beast forms.
"Don’t worry. I won’t stop trying. I’ll continue cooking until I make the best food you’ve ever had," Vale said firmly.
Lord Zark sighed. "Cooking isn’t for me. I’ve given up..."
But Zay crawled close to his father’s side and tugged at his clothes. "Papa, I want some porridge..."
"..."
Zark panicked. He didn’t want his dear son to get a taste of that. So he immediately picked Zay up and forced a smile.
"No, you can’t have this."
Zay tilted his head. "Why?"
Zark smiled awkwardly. "Don’t worry, dear Zay. Papa will keep working hard to make better food for you to try. Not just this, okay?"
He said it with such confidence that Ayra could only shake her head, smiling along with the others at his sudden change of attitude.
And just then, Ayra’s system beeped.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations, Host. Task completed.] 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ
[Host’s mates have voluntarily made sweet potato porridge for Host, which she has tried.]
[Host’s energy has been significantly improved.]
[Host will now take back her human form.]
Immediately, Ayra found herself sitting upright on the bed. She had effortlessly transformed back into her human form, dressed in primitive clothing with a warm animal-skin sheet wrapped around her body to keep her warm.
Everyone was still laughing and smiling at Lord Zark’s swift change of attitude when they suddenly noticed Ayra.
The laughter died down.
"Oh, how did you transform so fast?" Rai asked, clearly impressed.
Ayra shrugged with a smile. "I don’t know. I guess it’s a talent."
They all shook their heads with a smile.
"So, what’s going to happen to the meal?" Nyx asked, tilting his head.
Ayra smiled as she stared down at the remaining porridge. "Well, it’s not that bad. So we’ll have to eat it as long as it won’t make us sick. Besides, it would be a waste to throw away food..."
Ally and Zay nodded in agreement.
But the triplet snakes shook their heads.
"But Mama, it’s bad. It’s not good to eat something bad."
"..."
Vale stared down at the little ones.
"You little rascals, slandering my hard work! No meat for you until you apologize to Papa."
The triplet snakes froze.
Then, without hesitation, they rushed toward Vale and curled tightly around his feet.
"Don’t mind me, Papa! I didn’t mean it at all!" Nat quickly said.
"Yes, Papa! Your cooking is the best so far! Even better than Mama and the Rabbit Chef!" Nyeon declared.
"Yes, yes! So please give us some meat. We need more meat, Papa!" Neris pleaded along with them.
Vale stood there proudly with his arms folded and his chin raised, looking like a child throwing a tantrum.
Everyone simply shook their heads and laughed.
"Blackmailing the little ones again," Ash sighed.
---
They soon sat down together in Ayra’s room. Under the warmth of the fire burning in the torches around the room, they enjoyed the sweet potato porridge that the mates had worked so hard to prepare.
It wasn’t poisonous. It simply had a strange, disoriented taste that came and went in waves, but it was still edible... just not delicious.
So they sat around and enjoyed the meal together, laughing and cracking jokes about how bad and chaotic the five chefs must have been in the kitchen for the porridge to turn out this way.
Ally had been an eyewitness, so she proudly told everyone exactly what had happened. She explained the mess each of them had made and how the Rabbit Chef had nearly lost all his brain cells trying to make sense of everything.
This had everyone laughing hard.
"You... Are you even my daughter at this point?" Ash shook his head with a smile as Ally exposed everything that had happened.
They sat around happily and managed to eat through the porridge that night. The remaining portion would be distributed to the other members of the tribe.
When they were done with dinner, everyone soon retired to their rooms for the night.
---
Ayra was sleeping alone since she hadn’t fully recovered and needed some rest without anyone disturbing her.
At least her energy had improved, and she was feeling much better now. She wasn’t feeling like she could fall asleep every three seconds anymore.
Hopefully, by tomorrow, she would feel even better. At least, that was what she believed.
But just as she closed her eyes, planning to fall asleep, her system suddenly beeped loudly.
Ayra slowly opened her eyes and stared at the blue tab that appeared right before her.
She had no idea what to expect from the system anymore. At this point, anything was possible.
[Ding!]
[Host’s internal energy is still weak and might get worse.]
"..."
Ayra was left confused and speechless.
Get worse?
Hadn’t she just completed a task to fix that?!
