Ayra had decided to sing Commander Lynn a birthday song. One that she had randomly come up with. She stood before him, performing the song vocally while staring at him with a smile.

Commander Lynn sat there staring without saying a word. He stared at her without moving, his eyes loyal to the view before him.

And the beastmen around had also gone quiet. Everyone had their eyes on Ayra, enjoying the music which the female was producing.

They said nothing but simply enjoyed it until she was done.

As soon as Ayra was done, she smiled as she stared at Commander Lynn, hoping to have him smiling as well.

But Commander Lynn sat there staring back at her without saying a thing. He blinked from time to time as he stared at her, while the silence lingered.

But immediately, Ally placed both hands together, clapping with a bright smile as she said loudly, "Yay! Mama! Yay!"

Soon, Rai and his peers had soon joined in. Clapping loudly while smiling at the female. They were extremely happy to have witnessed what they did.

Lord Ash had also joined in the cheering along with the other beastmen who were deeply impressed by the female.

And when they were all done celebrating her, Ayra smiled while bowing to them in appreciation. She turned and stared at Commander Lynn who still didn’t smile. "So... How is it...?"

Commander Lynn slowly nodded as he said, "Mmm."

"..." Ayra was speechless. He really was a hard one to crack.

"The female sings so well!"

"Please perform again. I can listen to the female all night."

"Same! Again please. The female sounds so good."

"She has such great skills? Do F-rank females sing this well as well?"

The beastmen were all impressed.

Ayra casually smiled in appreciation. But she guessed her plan didn’t work. Commander Lynn wasn’t smiling yet!

The next stage was presenting fruits to him. Ayra had brought forth the fruits they had gathered for him and offered them.

"Here, we got you the best!" She smiled while they handed the fruits to him. Rai said he liked fruits, so hopefully the rare fruits they gathered for him would get him smiling.

But as Ayra stared through the fruits, she noticed that some parts were eaten.

"..." She blinked as she turned to Rai. "What happened to this? Why is it...?"

Rai immediately turned to Kan as he said, "He took a bite."

"You did too."

"..."

"We were hungry..." The two blinked at Ayra while also staring at Commander Lynn.

"Sorry..."

Ayra blinked as she turned to Commander Lynn with a smile. "Well, it’s still fresh.. I guess..."

Commander Lynn accepted the fruits. He took one and ate from it while Ayra and the rest stood and stared at him as if he was testing a poison or something.

When he had eaten from it, Ayra blinked as she asked, "So.. like it?"

Commander Lynn stared down at Ayra with a nod. "Mmm."

"..." Ayra gasped. He liked it but didn’t smile. Should she just give up now?!

Just then, Ally’s stomach grumbled aloud as everyone turned to stare at her.

"..."

Silence lingered as Ally said, "I’m hungry.."

Ayra was running out of ideas. She had had Rai and his peers perform something funny for Commander Lynn.

But he didn’t smile at all. He sat there staring at them as if they were acting in a psychological thriller movie or something.

She even convinced Lord Ash to try making some jokes. Which he did but to no avail. Commander Lynn didn’t laugh, and neither did anyone in the venue. Ally simply stared.

When he was done with his non-funny jokes, silence lingered loudly in the atmosphere as Ayra gently placed a hand over her forehead as she said, "Maybe that was a bad idea..."

The celebration finally came to an end and the beastmen sat around enjoying the meal prepared while drinking.

Ally was with her father. Sitting close to Lord Ash while trying every fruit around while the three tribe lords sat around watching her eat fruits.

Some other beastmen, including Rai and his peers were also sitting around, enjoying the sight of the cub enjoying some fruits. The sight was satisfying for them to watch as they smiled in-between.

They enjoyed watching the cub try a fruit while curious to know if she would smile at the taste and take more. Or if Ally would squeeze her face at how unpleasant it tasted and make funny faces which would have them all laughing.

They watched while Commander Lynn and Ayra stepped out for some time.

Ayra had taken Commander Lynn out for some sightseeing. It was a beautiful night so she had offered to take him out.

Commander Lynn had immediately agreed without a second thought. And so the two of them strolled through the woods that night.

They walked side by side, eyes up in the night sky. They admired the stars and moon glowing in the distance while it illuminated the scenery around them.

They were quiet as they walked. Commander Lynn had both hands behind him as they moved while Ayra moved freely while staring through the scenery.

After a long moment of silence, Commander Lynn finally said, "The celebration..."

And even before he could finish his words, Ayra sighed as she said, "You don’t have to mention it..."

Commander Lynn raised an eyebrow, staring at her. "Huh?"

She looked down as she said, "I know you hated it. It was so boring for you and all... You didn’t seem to like anything from it. So you don’t have to talk about it at all... I understand it’s bad.."

She continued speaking, "I had short time to arrange it and all so I didn’t give it my best and all to celebrate your birthday and all. So it’s understandable if you don’t like it at all. I won’t blame you."

"..." Commander Lynn was silent. Standing and watching her speak as she continued rattling without a second thought.
