Chapter 95: Lower Domain #1, Myriad Race City
Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Lower Domain #1, Myriad Race City
Fwoosh!
A few seconds after leaving the [Intermediate Divine Temple], Leon and Emilia felt space twist around them once more.
The light faded, and solid ground returned beneath their feet.
Ding!
[You have arrived at “Lower Domain #1”]
Leon took a slow look around as the familiar scenery came into view.
“Hm.”
Only now, after completing their second assessment, was the number of their [Lower Domain] finally revealed.
“We got number one,” Emilia said with a grin, looking pleased. “That’s pretty lucky, right?”
Leon did not answer immediately. His eyes narrowed slightly as several thoughts connected in his mind.
’[Novice Village #1] and now [Lower Domain #1],’ he thought. ’Just like last time.’
In his previous life, he had also started in these exact locations. Back then, he never questioned it. He had assumed it was random, just another roll of the dice by the system.
But now, after everything he had seen, Leon was no longer convinced randomness played such a big role.
“This might not be a coincidence,” he muttered quietly.
“What was that?” Emilia asked.
“Nothing important,” Leon replied. “I was just thinking out loud.”
He glanced upward briefly, as if expecting another panel to appear.
“I still don’t remember my [Higher Domain] number,” he added after a moment.
It was something he truly could not recall from his past life. Either he had never paid attention to it, or it simply had not mattered back then.
In the end, it did not change his plans. He already knew what he needed to do.
Leon turned around, and the thick gray haze of the [Land of Mist] stretched behind them.
The moment they had been teleported back, they had appeared beyond it, safely on the other side.
If someone wanted to return to [Moon City], they would need to pass through that zone again.
Emilia followed his gaze and smiled faintly.
“That place felt creepy the first time,” she said. “But now it doesn’t really feel dangerous anymore.”
Leon nodded slowly.
“I don’t think any monster in there can actually challenge you at this point,” he replied. “Except maybe one.”
Emilia tilted her head slightly.
“Hmm… well, even if there is one, it shouldn’t be a problem,” she said with a shrug. “At least now I can actually help instead of just standing behind you.”
“You were already useful before,” Leon said calmly. “Your buffs alone made a big difference. But now it’s true, you can fight on your own.”
That alone changed many things.
Leon’s goal was still the same as always. He wanted to grow so strong that not even the gods would be able to threaten him. That path was one he would walk no matter what.
Still, having powerful people beside him made that journey safer.
Someone like Emilia watching his back meant fewer blind spots and fewer mistakes.
Leon trusted her strength. And more importantly, he trusted her intentions.
As they turned forward and began walking, the scenery ahead slowly shifted.
A massive city rose in the distance. Even from far away, it was impossible to miss.
Tall walls stretched across the horizon, layered with towers and banners. Roads converged toward it from every direction, packed with players heading in and out.
“Behold,” Leon said as the city grew clearer with every step. “This is where things really start.”
Emilia raised an eyebrow, “This place looks huge.”
“It is,” Leon replied. “Unlike the first half of the [Lower Domain], this city is the main point of interest from now on.”
As they approached, its sheer scale became obvious.
It was far larger than both [Hub City] and [Moon City] combined.
This was the center of the second half of the [Lower Domain], where players from level twenty five to fifty would gather.
Most would spend the majority of their time here, whether to trade, rest, or prepare for dangerous explorations.
Everything beyond this point revolved around this city.
The surrounding regions were filled with stronger monsters, rare resources, and opportunities that simply did not exist earlier.
“Let me guess,” Emilia said as they broke into a light run toward the gates. “There’s another hidden quest here.”
Leon shook his head, “Surprisingly, no.”
“Oh?” Emilia looked at him with interest.
“There’s something better though” Leon replied. “Something much more useful.”
Before she could ask further, a large system panel appeared before them as they got close enough.
Ding!
[Myriad Race City]
Emilia slowed her pace and looked around.
Players of countless races filled the area. Humans, beastmen, elves, dwarves, orcs, and races she had never even seen before all moved through the massive gates.
Now the name made sense.
“This really is a city for everyone,” Emilia said quietly.
Leon nodded.
“If you remember anything about this place,” he said, “remember that.”
They reached the gates, where heavily armored guards stood watch.
Every one of them was level fifty. Leon tried to inspect one out of habit.
Beep!
[You are not allowed to see that.]
His eyes narrowed slightly.
“So they’re blocking appraisal entirely,” he thought.
That usually meant one of two things. Either the guards were protected by special enchantments, or the city simply did not want players peeking too much.
“Don’t do that again, filthy human.”
A deep voice rumbled beside him. Leon turned his head to see a towering orc guard glaring down at him.
“Or you might regret it.”
The hostility was clear. Between that reaction and what Leon remembered about this city, it was easy to see the pattern.
This place was controlled by orcs. And not the friendly kind.
The city lord himself was an orc native, someone Leon remembered all too well from his past life.
He was strong. Cruel. And far from fair.
Leon did not respond to the threat. He simply looked away calmly as another panel appeared.
Ding!
[To enter “Myriad Race City”, you must pay 1,000 Eternal Coins as a one-time fee.]
Emilia sighed.
“That feels like a scam,” she muttered. “I think I have enough, though.”
“It’s a one time fee,” Leon replied. “We only pay it once. I’ve got more than enough anyway.”
That was true. If Leon ever needed more money, he had plenty of options.
He could sell items, equipment, or even some of the sub-talent scrolls he obtained in the [Elemental Lands].
Money was not an immediate concern. Without hesitation, Leon confirmed the payment.
Ding!
[You have sent 2,000 Eternal Coins to Myriad Orc Guard.]
He paid for both of them, making things simpler.
The guards stepped aside, and Leon and Emilia walked through the massive gates.
Disgusted stares followed them. Orcs did not hide their expressions, and it was obvious they did not like humans entering their city.
Neither Leon nor Emilia cared. As long as the rules were followed, the guards would not attack.
And rules were something Leon had no intention of breaking here.
As they entered the city proper, Leon opened his [Friends List].
As expected, several messages were waiting for him.
[DivineWind (David): Holy hell brother, how do you even keep doing this?!]
[DestinyArcher (Eleonore): I told the others not to say your ID or that we’re friends with you, don’t worry •ᴗ•.]
[ShadowAaron: Haha, I knew something crazy was about to happen. Show me more!]
[AliceSupports: W-Wow, you’re even more of a bigshot than I thought!]
Leon chuckled quietly as he read them. It was nice to see their reactions.
Still, Eleonore’s message stood out the most.
He quickly replied, thanking her. She had done the right thing.
If anyone discovered that they were connected to the player known as Celestial, it would put a massive target on their backs.
And that was the last thing Leon wanted.
As for Alice’s message, Leon shook his head slightly.
“Why does she even stutter in text,” he muttered with a small smile. “It’s not like I can hear her.”
Emilia glanced at him, “Talking to yourself again?”
“The others sent messages,” Leon replied.
“Oh! I also received a message from Eleonore,” Emilia grinned, “I guess she was worried about me as well.”
They continued forward, fully entering the city streets.
Massive buildings stretched upward, shops lined every major road, and players moved in organized chaos all around them.
Just like that, Leon and Emilia had officially stepped into the second half of the [Lower Domain]. Into [Myriad Race City].
And this time, things were only going to get more dangerous.
