Chapter 108: Upgrading Celestial Hand, Over 110,000 Combat Power!
Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Upgrading Celestial Hand, Over 110,000 Combat Power!
Leon placed the [Secret Realm Token] into his [Storage Space] for the time being, then shifted his attention to the [Legendary Treasure Chest] resting quietly in front of him.
A faint smile curved his lips.
“It’s been a while since I opened one of these,” Leon said, amused. “Last time was after the [Shadow Horde] event.”
The chest from that event had been mythical-rank though.
He was also genuinely surprised that ElvenStronghold had added a [Legendary Treasure Chest] to the rewards.
For most players, such chests were a gamble. You could walk away with something decent… or something completely useless.
But Leon was different. With his talent’s effect, he could quite literally pull everything inside.
That alone made this chest far more valuable in his hands than in anyone else’s.
Without hesitating, Leon stepped forward and placed his palm against the lid.
Ding!
[100% Drop Rate has triggered, all items inside of the treasure chest have been placed into storage space.]
“Hehe.”
A quiet chuckle escaped him.
Leon didn’t waste a second. He immediately opened his [Storage Space] and scrolled through the list of newly acquired items.
[Enhancement Stones x10]
[Skill Stones x10]
[Advanced All-Attributes Pill: Increases all attributes by 75.]
[Sub-Talent Scrolls: Super Spirit Enhancement (C-Level), Super Strength Enhancement (C-Level)]
[Skill Books: Warrior Roar (Epic), Ice Spikes (Legendary)]
[Magic Necklace (Legendary): +500 Spirit.]
[Elven Boots (Legendary): +1,000 Agility, +500 Constitution. If worn by an “Elf”, the attribute gains double.]
And finally…
[Small Skill Evolution Stone (Legendary): Allows the user to upgrade a skill of theirs by one level as long as the skill is below level 5.]
“…Damn!”
Leon genuinely couldn’t help himself. No wonder this item was ranked as legendary.
Enhancement stones were already rare enough, but one that could directly upgrade a skill without conditions beyond level restrictions was absurd.
Of course, it was labeled as a “small” evolution stone. That meant stronger versions existed.
And if this one was already this good, Leon couldn’t help but imagine what the higher-tier ones were capable of.
Even so, this chest had dropped ten different items.
Anyone else would’ve been ecstatic with four or five.
Leon? He was simply satisfied as he knew it was inevitable.
He started with the simplest step. Leon consumed the [Advanced All-Attributes Pill].
A warm wave spread through his body as every stat rose by seventy-five points.
Strength, agility, spirit, constitution, everything increased evenly.
It wasn’t flashy, but the impact was immediate and undeniable.
Next, Leon turned toward Emilia.
“Here,” he said, tossing her the [Elven Boots].
Emilia caught them instinctively and blinked.
“Are you sure?”
Leon nodded. “They’re better on you.”
He could’ve worn them himself and gained a solid boost, but that would’ve been a waste.
Emilia was an elf. That meant the attribute bonuses would double for her.
What was a decent gain for Leon would become massive for her.
“Thanks,” Emilia said with a smile before equipping them.
Leon then focused on the items meant for him.
He reached up and removed the [Sage’s Chain +2 (Epic)] from around his neck, setting it aside before equipping the [Magic Necklace (Legendary)].
The moment it settled into place, Leon felt his spirit surge again.
Then came the sub-talents. He didn’t hesitate.
Leon activated the fusion process, merging both [Super Strength Enhancement (C-Level)] and [Super Spirit Enhancement (C-Level)] with the talents he already possessed.
Ding! Ding!
[Fusion successful x2.]
Leon froze.
“…Really?”
He hadn’t expected both to succeed. He’d been prepared for one, maybe even none.
Two successful fusions in a row was absurd luck, even by his standards.
[You have evolved “Super Strength Enhancement (C-Level)” to “Super Strength Enhancement (B-Level)”]
[You have evolved “Super Spirit Enhancement (C-Level)” to “Super Spirit Enhancement (B-Level)”]
[Super Strength Enhancement (B-Level): Permanently increases strength by 75%.]
[Super Spirit Enhancement (B-Level): Permanently increases spirit by 75%.]
“Amazing,” Leon muttered, nodding slowly.
His gaze lingered on [Super Spirit Enhancement].
His spirit stat was already outrageously high. Boosting it by seventy-five percent was no small increase, it was a direct multiplier to his strongest attribute.
This alone massively increased his combat potential. Then came the skills.
[Warrior Roar (Epic): Roar loudly to boost the strength of your companions. Requirement: Have a party.]
[Ice Spikes (Legendary): Focus your spirit into the ground to release several ice spikes to pierce your enemies. Requirement: 5,000 Spirit.]
Leon stared at the descriptions.
“…Hm.”
[Warrior Roar] was useful, but situational. He didn’t need it right now since Emilia didn’t really need strength, so he stored it for later.
But [Ice Spikes]? That was different.
The spirit requirement alone told him this was no ordinary spell. Most players would struggle to even meet the minimum requirement.
Leon, however, exceeded it comfortably. That alone hinted at how powerful the skill must be.
Without wasting time, Leon poured his mana into the skill book.
Fwish!
The book dissolved into icy particles that flowed into his body, sending a cold yet controlled sensation through his veins.
Ding!
[You have learned the skill “Ice Spikes (Legendary)”]
Leon clenched his fist. He wanted to test it immediately. But he held back.
There would be plenty of opportunities ahead.
“Shall we go, then?” Emilia said, stretching lightly as she spun her scepter. “I’ve got a bad feeling about the [Star Magic Cave]… and everything after that.”
Leon understood. Emilia’s instincts were sharp. But even without them, the tension was obvious.
The [Star Magic Cave], the [Farlands], the unresolved threats. Nothing ahead was simple.
Still…
“We move forward,” Leon said calmly. “But before that, I’m using the [Small Skill Evolution Stone].”
As long as a skill was below level five, it could be upgraded once.
That ruled out things like [Appraisal] or [Powerful Fireball].
But Leon didn’t need to think. There was only one correct choice.
Leon focused his mana into the evolution stone and shattered it.
Ding!
[Which skill do you wish to upgrade?]
“Celestial Hand,” Leon answered instantly.
Ding!
[Congratulations, you have upgraded “Celestial Hand (Level 1)” to “Celestial Hand (Level 2)”]
[Celestial Hand (Ancient Lv.2): Upon killing an enemy, there is a 15% chance that this skill allows you to choose one of the items dropped by a monster and obtain an additional copy of it.]
“Nice,” Leon nodded.
He’d expected the odds to increase, and fifteen percent was already terrifying.
Yes, upgrading it further would cost more in the future, but that didn’t matter.
If he could push it to thirty percent or more someday… That would be completely heaven-defying.
Before moving on, Leon checked one last thing: his combat power.
After all the stat boosts, sub-talent evolutions, and equipment changes, it had to be absurd. And it was.
“…Holy shit.”
Leon exhaled slowly. That put him at roughly one hundred and fifteen thousand combat power.
And that number didn’t even account for his abilities, his techniques, or the experience from his past life.
If those were factored in, the real value would be far higher. With this strength, Leon was confident.
If he had to now, he could defeat the [Crystal Mist Guardian] by himself. That thought alone made him smile.
He’d had doubts about entering the [Secret Realm] beneath the [Star Magic Cave].
But now? Those doubts had somewhat faded.
This strength would also allow him to face future enemies, whether it was the [Shadow Assassin Guild] or the [Church of Light].
Leon turned to Emilia.
“Alright,” he said, eyes forward. “It’s time to go to the [Star Magic Cave].”
That meant heading to one of the deepest and most dangerous areas of the [Lower Domain]: the level 50 zone.
And whatever waited there… Leon was ready.
