Chapter 3055: Zeus’ Hunting Party

The God King Zeus could not believe that his wife has become indifferent to him but he has more problems at hand. All of his bastard children were vanishing without him even finding out why or how they vanished. If this is really what his wife said that another god must have been out for him then he will not let it pass.

The God King Zeus will never let anyone bully him or throw insult to his face. Also, the children that he has cultivated will be a huge loss if they truly get wiped out. The number of fighting pieces he could control would become less and less which will also weaken his fighting power in Olympus. He created more bastards so that his faction will be the most powerful in Olympus which rivals other gods.

The God King Zeus knows why the other gods did not stop the God Queen Hera when she released that law that basically curses his bastards. They have already seen through his schemes but they cannot stop him because a lot of his children have ascended to Olympus as gods. Even the God Queen Hera could no longer restrict him as much because he now has most of the power in Olympus.

"Hermes." The God King Zeus called.

"Yes, father." The Messenger God Hermes replied as he suddenly appeared before the God King Zeus in a flash.

"Form a hunting team and immediately find out why my children suddenly vanished. Also, make sure to track the others that are still in hiding based on this list." The God King Zeus commanded as he handed the Messenger God Hermes a scroll.

"As you wish, father. I shall make sure all of my birds will answer to this call and observe the others." The Messenger God Hermes stated as he vanished with only feathers floating gently to the ground left in his wake.

"Tch! This one was no fun as well. He was just slightly strong and his spear did not even pierce my body." Namea stated as she carried the unconscious male NPC that looks incredibly battered.

"You expect someone of that level will be able to suppress you when you have the skin and toughness of a Nemean Lion? That godblood is not on the same level as Heracles." Phaea stated as she also brought one female NPC that has similar features with the male NPC that Namea is dragging.

"How much more do we need to gather? We already hunted down about fifty of them and Mera is not even close to creating that potion." Namea grumbled.

"You already heard Mera’ explanation about the essence, right? He said that we at least need a hundred if they are weak and not at the level of demigods. What can we do? They are not easy to find as they are in hiding. We were just lucky that twins were present and we converged in this path or else even you will have difficulty dealing with these two." Phaea stated.

"I would rather fight those demigod level children of Zeus than weaker beings. It is not satisfying fighting weaklings." Namea added.

"Those ones have been demigods for too long already and have built fame for themselves. Attacking them is equivalent to going against an entire city. They are basically considered as heroes in their city state and you know that demigods also gain more power through faith. You would be the one getting pummeled to death instead." Phaea explained.

"Strange? Did I get lost? The markers said that the place I am searching for should be right here." A voice suddenly stated which made both Namea and Phaea extremely wary as they did not even sense this being’s presence when he suddenly appeared.

Before Phaea could tell Namea to ignore the being that appeared as they were being ignored, the roughhouse has already started showing hands. Namea already launched herself towards the cloaked being with her fists about to reach the other party’s head. About a meter before the fist is about to connect, a distinct sword suddenly came crashing down towards Namea’s arm.

All of Namea’s instinct suddenly felt the danger and she instantly retreated her fists while using some of her own energy to redirect her position. Namea could be seen suddenly getting blasted in the opposite side while the one that tried to cut her hand off got knocked back by a few inches. Phaea then used earth magic to create a rock whip to catch Namea and bring her back to her.

"Why are you so impulsive?! He was not bothering us earlier and was deliberately ignoring us but you suddenly attacked. Now, they will definitely take offense to us and will definitely retaliate." Phaea stated as she knew how bad the habits of the battle freak that is beside her.

"You almost got you head blown off, cousin." A male voice stated as he could be seen covered in unique runes that also function as his armor.

"Why are there an aunt and aunty beaten black and blue over there?" A female childlike voice stated.

"That would be the result of those two riff raffs hurting them." A male cartoonish voice stated.

"Do not even try to get close to them as they are not good people." A female voice that is a bit mature stated.

"There were more of them? Why did I not detect them? This is bad, Namea. We must retreat immediately and leave these catches alone. We cannot take all five of them at once." Phaea stated as her instinct for danger is much stronger compared to the other Apostles.

"They are really that strong? Are you sure we cannot take them down?" Namea asked as she wanted to verify how dangerous it is based on the reaction that Phaea shows.

"If we go all out then we might get a chance to defeat them but that cannot be measured right now. The one that you tried to attack earlier can actually go against the two of us just by himself. I can stake my pride on this." Phaea stated.

"If you say so then we must escape even if we leave these two as taking them would only slow us down." Namea stated.

"GO!" Phaea shouted as she released a powerful stomp that created a powerful shockwave that leveled the entire ground and made some of the earth rise up.

The footing of the four beings that they cannot defeat suddenly became a bit unsteady but that was only temporary. When the male that held a sword and the female that held a bow dashed towards them, Namea immediately tossed the twin godbloods that they have beaten down. As a result, the swordsman and archer had to catch the unconscious and heavily injured NPCs.

"They are gone! They have escaped!" The female childlike voice stated.

"That is wrong, Tala. Master Equinox just let them escape as they prove no worth chasing after." Bunn Bunn stated.

"Why did you let them escape?" Apolaki asked as he could not believe that Equinox would let someone that attempted to kill him escape. He knows that his cousin is one to hold grudges and nip the bud of those that go against him.

"Why are you interrogating him over this? Come and help me bandage these two. Since when did players started to abduct NPCs?" Maya stated as she gently placed the female NPCs down.

"I would have wanted to go after them but the attack that girl made earlier that leveled the entire ground actually solved my problem. I have found the entrance that I was searching for." Adrian stated as he pointed down and saw a cavern that got revealed when the earth got shifted.

"So, we are going cave diving?! Exciting!" Tala shouted as she jumped with joy.

"Do not be too excited, Tala. We are now surrounded." Bunn Bunn stated as he readied his sword.

A few minutes after Namea and Phaea escaped, a group of individuals that could move through the trees without much of a sound appeared before them. All of them held daggers and covered their and bodies while being hooded which even masked their eyes. Adrian raised his eyebrow as he did not expect one of the oldest organizations in the mortal realm to actually come before him.

The numbers of people that arrive were not small as they have already surrounded the area. Apolaki and Maya knew that this will inevitably result in a fight which made them hold their weapons steady. The hooded group did not move immediately as they watched and observed while more of them came to encircle Adrian’s group.

"Why is the Thieves Guild here?" Adrian suddenly stated which made all of the hooded figures shuddered but they were professional enough to instantly recover.

"Kill all of them." A hooded figure that just arrived suddenly stated as all of the beings that surrounded them came crashing towards them like a volley of sharpened arrows.
