Chapter 2867: The Stone Egg

Adrian presented Hanu with a choice because that is the least that he could do. He could take Hanu to the central continent and leave him in another mountainous region or he could become a citizen in Avalon. Still, he cannot make the decision for the demi human since that is not his life. Hanu should make a decision for himself and Adrian will just honor that decision.

“I was not joking when I said that I want to become your servant, big brother. Please take me in as your servant as a way for me to repay the things that you have done for me. You even gave away such precious divine medicine to the goddess just so that I could be spared.” Hanu stated.

Adrian suddenly felt guilty that he said that the root was a very important thing because that was just a byproduct of him trimming the ugly roots of the Tree of Life and Death. In fact, Adrian has hundreds of those inside of his inventory since the Tree of Life and Death do not want parts of itself to be used as fertilizer for itself. The Tree of Life and Death even told Adrian that it does not like dirty parts of itself.

You can even say that the dried roots that the he gave the goddess earlier was akin to poop for the Tree of Life and Death. It is merely a dirty byproduct of overaged and ugly roots that needed to be trimmed for the Tree of Life and Death to be aesthetically pleased with itself. The roots might have some form of divine energy but it is so muddled that even Adrian does not want to use it.

“Those roots are good for the elixirs that Brew creates though. Anyways, since Hanu has already decided then I guess I will be taking care of him.” Adrian thought as he looked directly at Hanu.

“Since you are already sure of your decision, I will take you to my territory along with the monkey beasts if they are to come.” Adrian stated as he opened a portal that leads directly to Avalon.

“Do not worry, big brother. We shall be good citizens of your territory.” Hanu stated with excitement and the other monkey beasts also danced in excitement.

“I would not say that after you know where you would be going.” Adrian muttered silently as the portal has finally stabilized.

“Did you say something, big brother?” Hanu asked.

“Nothing. I will send you some place to work so that you can all earn a living. You cannot leech off others in my territory after all. Those that do not work will not eat. That is basically the motto there so you need to work the job that I will be referring you to. Come now and enter the portal so we can leave. There might be other gods that want to get you as a test subject and I do not have enough of those roots.” Adrian stated even though he really has a lot of them.

Hanu and the other monkey beasts entered the portal without any questions after Adrian said that there might be other gods or divine beings that are still after him. As soon as Hanu landed in Avalon, he felt the immense divine energy in the area. Even natural energy is at its peak which should only be possible in lands where the ley lines converged.

What shocked Hanu the most is the fact that all of the islands were floating in the sky. There was even a river flowing upwards that ends with a lake at the bottom. Adrian managed to add some special features to Avalon when he had the time. The only problem is that those special features cost a lot of money which is why he is really not earning much from his own territory but the citizens are satisfied.

“I did not know that you were such a cool big bro! You even have such a cool territory that floats above the ground. Even the gods and goddesses of the southern continent do not live like you.” Hanu stated in wonder and in awe.

“You might just curse at me after this. Anyways, come with me as I will send you to where you will be employed.” Adrian stated as he brought them to Old Man Pann’s ranch.

“Why are you suddenly showing up here with a crowd, brat?” Old Man Pann asked.

“You said that you need workers for your fruit trees, right? I found them for you. This is Hanu and he is a monkey demi human. The ones around him are monkey beasts that treat him like family.” Adrian stated as Old Man Pann does request some players to pick fruits from his trees every now and then but the yield at Avalon is a lot compared to other places.

“They look like they will be able to do the job. Ok then. All of these runts are hired but if I see any of you slacking off then I will make all of you into monkey soup! Go talk to my farmhand as he will be the one explaining what you need to do.” Old Man Pann stated.

“Thank you, boss!” Hanu stated as he did what Old Man Pann instructed and the monkey beasts followed him.

“Thanks for accepting the sudden request, old man.” Adrian stated.

“You know that I will not accept them for free. Bring me something that interest me and I might be able to let them stay long term.” Old Man Pann stated.

“He wants to see a new beast but the problem is that I have yet to hatch one.” Adrian thought as he thought Old Man Pann would be interested in how Hanu ended up that way but it seems the old man is only interested in rare and exotic beasts.

“I do not have a new soulbound but I do have this which is what I will hatch in order to get another one.” Adrian stated as he presented the Stone Egg to Old Man Pann which made the latter’s eyes sparkle.

Description: A monster egg that has been filled with the divine spark of the deceased Monkey King who is considered as one of the Primordial Divine Beast Kings. The monkey beast that will hatch from this egg will gain the special strain of the Monkey King which can make them evolve to that path. It looks like a normal round stone which many can confuse it from as it does not look like an egg at all.

“Oh! Such a marvelous beast egg! Give it to me!” Old Man Pann stated but Adrian immediately stored it back to his inventory which made the former glare at him.

“I am not giving it to you. This egg contains a monkey beast with the strain of the Monkey King. Also, I was the one that hunted down all of the fragments of this thing. I even clashed with a goddess to make sure that I get it.” Adrian stated.

“Fine! Just let me see it for now. I want to check if such an egg is normal in nature.” Old Man Pann stated which Adrian agreed since he is not one to get back on his word.

Just as Old Man Pann was practically drooling over the Stone Egg, Adrian could be seen scrolling his inventory to search for the item that he needed. It was an item that he got as a reward from a Lucky Chest. He thought that he will never get to use it because it was a very specific use case item. The fact that he could do so means that it will finally be taken out of his inventory after many months.

She created this talisman in order to choose what kind of strain or awaken a strain on monster eggs. This is a one-time use item and cannot be used on eggs that are too weak to possess a strain.
