Chapter 2807: The Origin of Summoning Magic IV

Just as Adrian guessed, the place that is called Zion is basically a metropolis for the ancient world. It is a large floating island that looks futuristic but also ancient at the same time. In the ancient world, Adrian could clearly see that there are even Mechanoids roaming about. Living robots as they call the Mechanoids because they have souls.

If anyone asks if the present is more advanced then that is actually quite false. In terms of technology, the past actually far out scales the present as many forgotten relics are just advanced pieces of technology. Zion is literally a paradise for those that are interested in technology because they have everything figured out. Adrian could easily think of a reason why this technology no longer appears in the present.

“When the War of the Gods started, the first gods and beings that they killed are the scholars living in this place. If the two opposing forces are quite balanced when it comes to raw power, the side that has the better technology or intelligence wins. One could easily say that Zion was the first to fall when the War of the Gods occurred.” Adrian thought as he followed Telos’ parents to their abode during the council.

Vio could be seen curled up on Adrian’s neck while sleeping. If Vio did not move then they might mistake him for an accessory that Adrian is wearing. It seems that the matter that the council will talk about is very serious since both Arhizo and Iremia are needed in the meeting. He is left with his Daemos guard that is an Imp species that is the rank of an Arch Demon.

Adrian is a little bit shocked because he always believed that Arch Demons are powerful as there are not much of them in the present time. In the ancient times, Arch Demons are still powerful but their numbers were much greater than before. One could easily say that the Daemos were not a race that only had less than ten thousand which they are now.

“Please take care of him for us, Pyli. We will be needed in the council meeting and will only return by dinner time. Telos is very excited about Zion so make sure to escort him to the places he wants to go. Of course, you may stop him if he is a danger to himself or to others.” Iremia stated.

“Of course, mistress. I shall guard the young master with my life.” Pyli stated as he bowed to Iremia.

“Now for you… make sure to behave.” Iremia stated with the death glare that only mothers give to their children when they are going out to other places.

“Yes, mother.” Adrian replied as calling Iremia as mother suddenly rolls on the tongue easier than before.

Adrian watched as Arhizo and Iremia looked serious before they entered the room where the meeting will be held. He is currently located at the highest tower in Zion which is actually called the Tower of Babel. The central district of Zion is actually called Babel which he almost did not believe but the signs were everywhere. He found it ironic that the tower that is said to have been created to reach the gods is being used as a base by the gods in Zion.

“Since were already here, Pyli! Let us go and raid the library!” Adrian stated.

“I did not expect that you would go to such place first, young master. I thought you would certainly go to the private labs of the scholars given your disposition in making trouble.” Pyli stated as it seems that he has already been accustomed to what Telos is always scheming.

“Libraries are treasure troves of knowledges from around the world. If Zion is the capital of the world, then the library here should be filled with books about the things that I want to know. Let us go!” Adrian stated as he passed by a group of gods that shined brightly.

The group of gods that Adrian passed through were all wearing adornments that signified that they had alignment with light. All of them also had souls that shined like the sun and bright but Adrian noticed one of the goddesses having a tainted dark light near her chest. The tainted dark light was not large enough that it should be a problem but the soul of a goddess should be pure and not tainted with negative emotions or thoughts.

“That must have been the Goddess Luminaria when she was still a demigod. To think that I would cross paths with another that I have killed in the present.” Adrian thought as he made sure that his thoughts will not leak as gods and goddesses do have the ability to read minds if the mental barriers were weak. Fortunately for Adrian, Telos has a powerful soul hence the gods and goddesses cannot probe into his mind easily.

“This is not part of the quest anyways and nothing will change if I report it now. I need to focus on my task in creating summoning magic or else I will fail this quest. I cannot wait for another chance because the task that Levin Cloud and I were stalling is catching up quick. The world is starting to fall apart faster now more than ever.” Adrian thought as he entered the library with a determined gaze.

Inside the library, one would think that it would be filled with ancient books and all but it was not. The library actually looked like an entirely different pocket dimension as it looked larger than what it is from the outside. Adrian knew that this should not be the case for the Tower of Babel that he sneaked into which means that the ancient Tower of Babel actually got powered by Origin Magic.

“Too bad that the Tower of Babel got destroyed back then. If I managed to piece it back and claim ownership then I might have powered it back up.” Adrian muttered as a librarian approached him.
