Chapter 2683: Fallen Goddess Izanami III

The Azure Dragon of the East then performed a dance in the sky that summoned rain and lightning towards the Fallen Goddess Izanami. The onslaught of elemental attacks was difficult for the Fallen Goddess Izanami to defend against as she is now using her own divine energy to create a barrier. She was confident before when the Primordial Divine Dragon Huanglong was giving her energy continuously but now that is not the case.

The divine energy of the Fallen Goddess Izanami is rapidly decreasing because she needed to block all spells of the Azure Dragon of the East. She might not be damaged because she is currently stronger than her enemy but she is now at a disadvantage. The Fallen Goddess Izanami tried to use Dead Goddess Walking to escape but suddenly found herself still in the corporeal form.

She can no longer escape using the skill that she was most confident of. The skill that she was given when she returned back from the underworld after she was tortured. She cannot believe that she will be the one to be abandoned by her own power just because of a few white flames.

The Azure Dragon of the East also did not let the Fallen Goddess Izanami to have any means of escape. It freely manipulated the wind and lightning to attack in all possible angles. It perfectly created a sphere of influence around the Fallen Goddess Izanami where a gap will be attacked after a split second. This does use up lots of divine energy from the Azure Dragon of the East but it knows that it can focus on the Fallen Goddess Izanami.

The other fallen gods do not dare to get close to the Fallen Goddess Izanami as they fear they would have all their divine energy absorbed by her. Those that dared to help the Fallen Goddess Izanami are blocked off by a living mechanical human and a fish man as per the observations of the Azure Dragon of the East. Still, the Azure Dragon of the East knew that it will not be able to kill the Fallen Goddess Izanami if this continues.

“You, children. Help me in killing this woman.” The Azure Dragon of the East stated as if it was older than Creepysoo and the others even though it was just newly born a few days ago.

“You do not have to tell me twice.” Creepysoo stated as he was actually already chanting a spell inside the Necronomicon.

Creepysoo often looked tamed and happy even though he is an undead player but something inside of him triggered his anger. When he saw that Hexy was about to get killed by the Fallen Goddess Izanami, Creepysoo became angry with himself because he promised to protect her. If not for the Azure Dragon of the East, then Hexy would have already died as well but he did not know that his summoning of the Flames of Insight is what saved her.

“Forbidden Spell: Drag me to the Underworld!” Creepysoo stated with his eyes filled with anger as he easily sacrificed five levels to activate the spell.

[You have activated the Forbidden Spell: Drag me to the Underworld.]

King Yama, who was observing the situation, suddenly smiled because that spell is something that forcefully uses energy of the afterlife or death energy in the specific region forcefully. It is a forbidden spell because it can grant the caster the powers of the God of Death in that region. It also forcefully sends the user to the underworld where they would need to endure pain and suffering for thousands of people condensed in a matter of two seconds.

“This kid is really interesting. Fine! I like you! I shall not block you from using my power that is connected to the eastern underworld. Show me what you can do with my power and I might take interest in raising you.” King Yama stated as he observed the situation before him.

Creepysoo did not even flinch when the ground below him cracked as flaming hands grabbed him and literally dragged him to the underworld. The sudden disappearance of the necromancer and his undead knights became quite bizarre that even his allies did not know what to do. Creepysoo did not give them a heads up of what will happen but he did say that he will be back after a few seconds.

It seems that even the Azure Dragon of the East was stunned by what happened that it left a gap in its attacks. The Fallen Goddess Izanami then used that gap to make her divine energy explode for a brief moment to alter the wind and lightning attacking her. The momentary explosion of divine energy also made her immune to the cursed land for a brief second.

“I can now escape!” The Fallen Goddess Izanami stated as she used another of her movement techniques that turns her body into darkness instead.

Just as the Fallen Goddess Izanami was about to escape, flames suddenly erupted in the area but they were not orange or red in color. The flames where pure white which haunted the Fallen Goddess Izanami ever since she got sent to the underworld. Unlike the Flames of Insight that did no damage but only revealed hidden beings, these flames burned hot that it even burned the darkness that the Fallen Goddess Izanami was going to transform into.

“ARGGH!” The Fallen Goddess Izanami screamed as her body started to get burned by the white flames.

Even with her body being burned, the will to survive of the Fallen Goddess Izanami is strong. If she can escape the underworld then escaping mere mortals should be easy for her. She believed that she just needed to grit her teeth and find a loophole to escape as her current enemies are not good with chasing. The only reason she cannot instantly escape is due to the cursed land that slows her down but she learned that bursts of divine energy could dispel the curse enough for her to have a window to escape.

The Fallen Goddess Izanami believed that she will be able to escape but that hope suddenly started to wane when she felt a familiar presence above her. Creepysoo floated on top of the Fallen Goddess Izanami with his entire outfit already different. He now wore clothes similar to what King Yama wore because he has successfully assimilated the power of the eastern underworld in his body.

[You have successfully gained the power over Flames of Judgment.]

[You now have temporarily gained the same authority as King Yama of the Eastern Gods of Death.]

[All souls that need to be judged are yours to punish.]

“Impossible! Why would that arrogant child give you, his authority!” The Fallen Goddess Izanami shouted as she could not believe her eyes that a mortal is wielding the absolute power of the Ruler of the Eastern Underworld. A power that she tried to covet yet also burned her at the same time.

“Sometimes, you need determination to make sure that everything is burned.” Creepysoo stated but getting this power was not easy.

As soon as he was dragged to the underworld, he felt all parts of his body shattering and trying to reform. Even the body of the undead that is said to not feel physical pain actually started to feel pain. He thought that he was undergoing years of torment when it was actually just merely two seconds of time. At the very end when he finally arrived at the eastern underworld, he saw a teenage looking boy smiling at him.

“You passed.” The teenage looking boy stated as he blasted Creepysoo with white flames and the next thing he knew is that he returned to the mortal realm and gained the powers of King Yama.

“Wait! I can give you information! Just make sure that I live! I can even tell you how to make that power yours permanently! I have a way!” The Fallen Goddess Izanami stated as she threw away all her pride as a goddess and started to grovel.

“Really?!” Creepysoo asked while his eyes were devoid of emotion.

“Yes! I know of a way for you to obtain that divine flame permanently!” The Fallen Goddess Izanami stated which made the entire area silent as Creepysoo looked like he was suddenly tempted.

“Of course, you will be tempted. Power like that being granted to mortals will make one believe that they are a god. I can just tell him the process partially and kill him once I have recovered.” The Fallen Goddess Izanami schemed even though her face looked like she was pleading.

“In that case, you may now rest in peace. Flames of Judgement!” Creepysoo stated as flaming apparitions of his undead knights suddenly manifested before him and slammed towards the Fallen Goddess Izanami.

“Why!? You could have become a god!” The Fallen Goddess Izanami shouted as her body is engulfed in a white inferno.

“Power over death is only granted to those that can live for it. As the envoy of death, all secrets of the gods of death must be kept.” Creepysoo stated as he viewed the body of the Fallen Goddess Izanami turn to dust.
