Chapter 2653: Against the Eastern Continent I

The announcement of the Corrupted Yellow Emperor made the hearts of those that wanted the way to divinity become interested. The message earlier was not just a simple announcement but also a way for the Corrupted Yellow Emperor to creep into the hearts of those living in the eastern continent. The Corrupted Yellow Emperor has already tapped into the collective subconsciousness of the people in the eastern continent.

The Corrupted Yellow Emperor is using the greed for power of all the beings in the eastern continent. It is also the reason why the Corrupted Yellow Emperor said that it will ascend anyone to divinity regardless of what they are. It means that the Corrupted Yellow Emperor has the ability to even make a mortal into a divine being.

The Corrupted Yellow Emperor might have hidden the process to do this or that they cannot choose what they will look like after but becoming a god is something all Immortals crave. The rogue immortals and those that do not follow the creed of the Murim Alliance have all been enticed. They will have a pathway to become a Divine Immortal just by killing the newly revived Four Cardinal Divine Beasts.

The Corrupted Yellow Emperor implanted in the minds of those that were tempted that the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts are now in a weakened state. Killing them will be easy as long as they could reach them. The declaration also prompted the rising of the demonic beasts of the Ascendant Immortal level. These demonic beasts usually hide in order to fool the eyes of human immortals, but they were also tempted.

The Corrupted Yellow Emperor only did a suggestion, and it should only affect those that truly want it. It should not affect those that have high morals and love for other people but there are many beings in the Ascendant Immortal stage that are selfish beings. The ones that are burning away their last lifespan are perfect in this category as they rose from their hidden realms to rush towards the Dragon Lake Palace.

The Corrupted Yellow Emperor unleashed the hidden terrors of the eastern continent upon the Dragon Lake Palace. The Seers that fainted immediately gave them a warning of disaster striking because of the Corrupted Yellow Emperor. The Seers all had the same vision and that was the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts dying and then the eastern continent being engulfed by the Corrupted Yellow Emperor.

“What should we do? Dangerous beings are now flocking towards this area.” Levin Cloud stated.

“I guess this would be a good time to call upon all the remaining guild members. We just need to hold on until the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts regain their power. The Corrupted Yellow Emperor has sent people in the areas ruled by the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts to spread fear and terror. This is done to make the faith for the four weaker and it did work.

They revived in an incomplete state but some of our guild members have already defeated the armies the Corrupted Yellow Emperor sent. Only two more have yet to be defeated while those that have freed the region are now restoring the faith that was broken. Now, the only way to win is to protect the ones that could raise the Seal of the Four Directions.” Adrian stated.

“You are saying that we need to defend this place but all of them are flocking here now. You are not in a state to help because you overused your mana circuits.” Levin Cloud pointed out.

“I can cast spells. I just do not know if they would explode on face though.” Adrian replied honestly.

The strained mana circuits that Adrian has will need at least twelve hours of rest to make sure that he does not further damage it. He could recover for at least six hours and be able to use light spells but the enemies coming for them are not normal. The beings that are rushing towards Dragon Lake Palace are other divine beasts or Ascendant Immortals.

The location of the Dragon Lake Palace is also exposed by the Corrupted Yellow Emperor. The Corrupted Yellow Emperor made sure to point out the area where the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts reside. It was as if the Corrupted Yellow Emperor can track the energy signatures of the four divine beasts. This made them unable to hide the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts and Adrian cannot send them to another dimension either.

“They would die if we sent them to another continent or any of my pocket dimensions. Dragon Lake Palace is special because it is a pocket dimension created naturally by the energy of a dragon vein in the eastern continent. I can only artificially create pocket dimensions, and they are solitary in existence which is why they cannot be detected easily.

The Four Cardinal Divine Beasts need the energy of the eastern continent in order to live as they are now in a state where they must feed constantly. We are now stuck in this deadlock as we just hope that the enemies will not arrive fast enough.” Adrian stated.

“My parents (Grand Master Fu Xi and Grand Mistress Nu Wa) are already creating a natural landscape that hides the Dragon Lake Palace. Rest up for now because the fight could happen at any moment.” Peridot stated as she also joined in the efforts to hide the Dragon Lake Palace.

When Peridot left, Adrian suddenly pondered on what he needed to do to make sure that the Corrupted Yellow Emperor cannot do anything more than this. It was quite devious of the Corrupted Yellow Emperor to offer divinity to those that wants to do its dirty work. In the eastern continent, all of the Immortals strive to become a Divine Immortal and even the divine beasts want to become like the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts in strength.

“It is just staying in its place and recovering while we get tired and exhausted from all the fighting. I know that we are defending but it feels like we are fighting a losing battle.” Adrian muttered.

“You! Do not even think of doing anything funny! You need to rest!” Levin Cloud stated as he found his best friend deep in thought. He also caught Adrian’s face when he realizes something but that often creates more chaos.

“Crazy idea.” Adrian stated but Levin Cloud trapped him in a healing cocoon made of herbal plants.

“I will hear that idea of yours after three hours.” Levin Cloud stated as he also doused Adrian with a sleeping powder which made him faint.

Adrian was about to say something, but the effect of the sleeping powder actually knocked him out despite his resistances. He did not know how Levin Cloud found a plant that could knock out a demon, but he is suddenly interested in using one for educational purposes. Nevertheless, Adrian accepted that his body needed to rest even though his plan was ingenious from his point of view.

Adrian wanted to lead an elite team right now and attack the base of operation that the Corrupted Yellow Emperor uses. He actually already messaged the people he planned on taking in the fight and is just waiting for their reply. He then thought that he would be sent out of the game since his character fell asleep, but he is sent to his subconscious instead.

Adrian felt that his subconscious has become much different than before as it became wider compared to the already vast one that he previously had. Paradox then materialized into a small demon chibi butler beside Adrian to explain what happened. Paradox took the time to tell its master that ascension is near and that he only needs one more step.

“Paradox is correct. You have already passed every right except for one.” The Noblesse Equinox suddenly appeared before him.

“Is the last one… a fight against you?” Adrian asked.

“Funny but no. A fight with you right now will destroy this mindscape. A fight with you is also the last step in order to take my power. What you need right now is to defeat a divine being.” Noblesse Equinox stated.

“I already defeated a lot of them though.” Adrian replied as he participated in lots of fights against beings with divinity.

“You need to defeat one more to solidify your divine vessel. A Noblesse’ divine vessel is not normal because Daemos are bound to the world. You would need more divine energy compared to others to ascend into becoming a Noblesse. Fortunately for you, a rampaging Primordial Divine Beast is present. Defeat it and absorb some of its divine energy then you will earn the right to fight against me.” Noblesse Equinox stated.

“For an Inner Demon that is supposed to stop my advancement, you are very supportive.” Adrian stated.

“I am very supportive because my own self is of Chaos. You are literally the one that made me this way because I am just a reflection of you at the end.” Noblesse Equinox stated with a smile and he also saw Adrian deviously smiling back.
