Chapter 2624: Victory in Future Sight

The Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North always saw one ending before she confronted her master with the news about its impending doom. She would always see that their master, the Black Tortoise of the North, fall in the hands of other beings and what followed is the destruction of the eastern continent by a monster cloaked in black miasma. She really wanted to tell the Black Tortoise of the North about this prophecy, but she was forbidden to do so.

She was incredibly anxious and afraid of the future because of this but her master told her to just prepare. It was as if the Black Tortoise of the North itself already foreseen its own death. The master that she believed to be away from even death itself will actually die just like the mortals. The Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North thought that her master was wrong until she gotten prophecies of branching futures.

Each of the branched future that she has seen would have different endings like the eastern continent being at peace, the eastern continent being destroyed, or the eastern continent in a stalemate. Each of the future she saw at that vision actually solidified that her master has told her the truth. The truth that she would have solidified that one true future if she informed her master of what will happen to the eastern continent.

Still, the Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North would still have one event that is not changed in her visions. The event that the Black Tortoise of the North dies from another being is a permanent event. A certainty as they call it which would need to happen in order for the future to be changed to a better ending. In one of those better endings, the Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North has seen that the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts are once again revived.

The revival of the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts is something that must happen in order for the restrictive barrier in the eastern continent be raised once more. The Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North did not think that this would be difficult as each Seer would make sure that the Rebirth Vessels of their masters is secured. The only thing that they need is divine energy and the ritual to revive the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts and all will return to normal.

“About that…” Peridot stated as she told the Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North that the Seer of the Azure Dragon of the East is dead and that no one from their family survived.

“No! This cannot be! Only the respective Seers could know the rituals of reviving their masters. If the Seer of the Azure Dragon of the East is no more then how are we going to win.” The Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North stated.

“There is also another problem. The Seer of the White Tiger of the West is nowhere to be found. We have lost contact with her as well.” Grand Master Fu Xi stated as he could not find the Seer of the White Tiger of the West when he passed through White City.

“No! My visions! If this is the case, then all of us will end in our doom!” The Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North as this event is where a few bad endings in her visions are present.

“Does the Seer need to be alive in order to revive the divine beast?” Adrian asked.

“They are the ones going to do the ritual but as long as another shrine maiden could do it then we will have no problem.” The Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North stated.

“Do not tell me…” Levin Cloud stated as Adrian looked at him.

“We have to summon her soul from the afterlife.” Adrian stated as this is one way of recovering the method to revive the Azure Dragon of the East.

“What about the Seer of the White Tiger of the West?” Peridot asked.

“A search party would need to be established to find her. I have already informed the guild that we will be doing a quest here in the eastern continent. I also informed the guild alliance that we would need help in battling a Primordial Divine Beast. They responded with great enthusiasm and that they should be ready to go here in a few hours.” Adrian stated.

“As expected of our guild master.” Levin Cloud stated as a way to tease and praise Adrian.

“ARRGHH!” The Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North suddenly shouted as a piercing headache occurred.

“Is there something wrong?!” Peridot asked as she caught the Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North.

“My healing spell is not working!” Levin Cloud stated as he tried healing the Seer of the Black Tortoise of the North, but she was not getting alleviated from the pain.

“She is seeing the future right now. There is always a price when using foresight.” Adrian stated as he could feel the sliver of aura of the Fates.

It seems that all Seers are somewhat connected to the Fates as they are the ones that drive the past, present, and future after all. The fact that Adrian felt their presence on the Seer of the Black Tortoise means that there might be hope for the connection with the divine realm. It was like the Fates themselves intervened in this moment to give Adrian a clue on what to do next.

“The Paths to victory! They are getting cut off! They are vanishing because the Yellow Emperor!” An army marching in all directions and slaughtering the people that do not submit!” The Seer of the Black Tortoise shouted as she suddenly paused before fainting on the spot.

“I got you!” Peridot stated as she caught the Seer of the Black Tortoise.

“She is exhausted from suddenly looking into the future possibilities. It seems that she was using her abilities while we were telling her of what happened to the other Seers. The only problem is that she also spoke about the Yellow Emperor and an army. What is the deal with that?” Adrian stated.

“We should evacuate these people first as we have no way of even knowing what she said until she wakes up.” Levin Cloud stated as he pointed at the people of Black City that was inside the citadel and evacuation area.

“I agree and the Seer needs rest as she used up all of her energy just now.” Peridot added.

“Okay then. Grand Mistress Nu Wa did tell me to send all of you back to the Murim Alliance just in case there were survivors.” Adrian stated as he proceeded to create the gate.

“I will gather the survivors and lead them to the gate. You all should go first.” Levin Cloud stated as he released a pleasing aroma that calmed the senses.

Adrian entered the gate first as he needed to check the other side if it is safe. He opened this gate at the training ground of the Murim Alliance after all. He needed to check that no one would suddenly be attacked if they stepped inside of the portal. He was correct in passing through first because numerous swords suddenly swirled around him upon arriving at the other side.

“I come in peace!” Adrian stated with a V sign on his two hands.

“Ah! It is the Demon Hero! Lower your spirit swords as that is very disrespectful to the hero of the Murim Alliance!” One of the Immortals stated, and Adrian recognize it as the one that he saved back then.

“I thought there was something to add to my headache, but it seems it was only you.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated as she hurriedly arrived at the scene since they reported a portal suddenly being created in the training grounds.

“Sorry if I was unable to send a note. Portals do not work like that and besides…” Adrian stated as people from the other side suddenly started to arrive in the Murim Alliance.

The people of Black City were bewildered with the powers of the portal as they did not expect to suddenly arrive at Kunlun in an instant. They were even directed to the headquarters of the Murim Alliance. This is not an ability that Ascendant Immortals could do which is why they are in disbelief. As soon as Levin Cloud, Peridot, and Grand Master Fu Xi came out of the portal, Adrian decided to close it as there was no one left on the other side.

“Tell me everything that happened. To those that are injured, please receive medical attention. To those that are tired and hungry, you may use the canteen of the alliance. All of you have been in such an eventful day and you must rest.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa announced to the people of Black City that were rescued.

“We are tired too though.” Adrian muttered but Grand Mistress Nu Wa was looking at him with a glaring smile.
