“I thought that being mortals for quite a long time would have soften all of you a little, but it seems that is not the case. Even I have greater appreciation for the mortals when I became one. If your so-called disciples knew what you have planned for them then they would have killed, you on the spot.” Nuba stated as she snickered at the thought of looking at the betrayed faces of the disciples that they have raised.

“They were failures that could not even defeat the Four Cardinal Divine Beasts anyway. I raised them to be able to kill those divine beasts, but they could not even do something so simple. The group had to sacrifice some members just to kill those wretched divine beasts.” Chiyou stated.

“You say that but all of you cannot match with those divine beasts yourselves and all of you have divine souls. You expect a mortal to be better than you when you are not capable of doing such thing. As expected, all of you are incompetent which is why I must be the leader of the Four Demon Generals.” Nuba stated.

“Be the leader if you want because we do not want to see that face of that monster anyway.” Izanami stated.

“You are just mad that I will be chosen as queen by the emperor when he unites these lands. Now, all of you do your job and march forward. I should see a village conquered at least by the end of the day.” Nuba stated as she headed south.

“That opportunistic broad! Who is she to tell us what we need to do?!” Izanami shouted but Nuba is already gone.

“We have no choice but to obey, my beloved. We are under the control of the Corrupted Huanglong. If we want to be set free, then we must master this body and make it strong enough to repel the influence of the creator.” Izanagi stated.

“What he said is right. We may also get help from other Ascendant Immortals that are masters of the Dead Arts. They should be able to at least weaken the effect of the control that the Corrupted Huanglong has on us. If you encounter one of them, make sure that you get their contact or just get them forcefully.” Chiyou stated as he headed to the west.

“Seriously! He always thinks that he could boss us around when he is just a lowly servant himself.” Izanami stated with frustration.

“You know, Chiyou. He thinks that giving us orders makes him better than us. He thinks that he is always the best when he is one of the reasons that we failed.” Izanagi stated as he managed to peer into the memories of the Corrupted Huanglong when he got sucked inside the Soul Pouch.

“I just let it go because dealing with his tantrums is more troublesome. I shall go east, my beloved. Be sure to take care of yourself and do at least some works because if not then we will get extinguished.” Izanami stated as she caressed Izanagi before leaving with the army of her choice.

“Be careful as well.” Izanagi shouted as his eyes turned sharp as he went towards the north.

Izanagi hid information about a user of the Corpse Arts in the north part of the eastern continent. He did not say anything to the others about this because this master Corpse Arts user is said to be elusive. They said that this Corpse Arts user is already at the First Stage Divine Immortal which means they are at the level of a lesser god. He believed that this master could help them release the control of the Corrupted Huanglong from their souls.

“What the heck! That all happened while we were in the northern continent?!” Levin Cloud and Peridot stated in shock as they heard what Adrian told them.

They could believe that he and Grand Mistress Nu Wa destroyed the entirety of the Emei Sect because they know of Adrian’s capability for destruction. What they could find it hard to believe is the fact that a powerful Primordial Divine Beast that had its mind and spirit devoured by a Distorted God has been released upon the eastern continent. They all looked at Adrian as if he was the one that is to blame.

“Why are you looking at me like I am the culprit?” Adrian asked as the judging stares could be seen clearly on the faces of his two best friends.

“Maybe if you were not here in the eastern continent then that thing might have not been unsealed.” Peridot stated.

“You are a magnet for disasters, but you also bring immense luck after the fact. This is one of the reasons why we cannot hate you because this is an opportunity to kill a dragon that is a primordial divine beast.” Levin Cloud added.

“Ahahaa… about that.” Adrian stated as he proceeded to tell more details about the Corrupted Huanglong.

“What the! Is this not just suicide then? We are going against a monster that could not die because its life is tied to the eastern continent!” Levin Cloud exclaimed in disbelief.

“You must at least know how to kill such things. I mean, the gods of death will not agree to a being that cannot die after all.” Peridot stated as she knew that every being must be able to die. Even the Daemos that have infinite lifespans can die if they are heavily injured.

“I tried asking the death gods, but they have been silent. In fact, the connection with the divine realms seems to have been severed. It should have been clearer now because the barrier that restricted the gods from the eastern continent has been destroyed but it went silent a few minutes ago.” Adrian stated.

“You are right! I cannot talk to the Gods and Goddesses of Life as well. They would usually whisper some things they want picked up, but I cannot hear them. What is going on?!” Levin Cloud stated as he looked above.

“It is the Corrupted Huanglong itself that is blocking all of your connection to the gods. The Corrupted Huanglong has full control of the eastern continent’s divine law. It must have used its power to bend the divine law so that any gods that are not directly in the eastern continent cannot talk or commune with beings that they are aligned with.” Grand Master Fu Xi stated as he knows how powerful the Corrupted Huanglong could get.

“That is not fair!” Levin Cloud grumbled.

“We can still use divine energy which means we can still defeat it. The only problem is that it grows stronger by the minute. I just hope that Grand Mistress Nu Wa has already alerted the Murim Alliance. We will need all of the powerful masters we can get against that thing.” Adrian stated.

“Mistress Peridot!” A female voice suddenly called out to Peridot, and it is none other than the Chief Guard of the Black Tortoise of the North who is also the Seer of the divine beast.

“Seer of the Black Tortoise! I apologize; I forgot to give you this.” Peridot stated as she took out the small black turtle shell.

“No worries, young mistress. It is actually quite a miracle that you retrieved it when I saw a future where it was taken by a malicious entity.” The Seer of the Black Tortoise stated.

“Thank you! With the Origin Being of the Black Tortoise in our midst, we have a chance of reviving it. The future could still be saved.” The Seer of the Black Tortoise stated she started to cry.

“Can you explain?” Grand Master Fu Xi asked as it seems that the Seer of the Black Tortoise has seen the ending of the eastern continent itself.

“I have seen this ending before. I have seen that the Corrupted Huanglong rose from its seal and that all Four Cardinal Divine Beasts were slaughtered.” The Seer of the Black Tortoise stated.

“If you have seen it then… why did you not give a warning to the Black Tortoise of the North about it?” Levin Cloud asked.

“If she had given the warning then that future could have become true or happened faster. The Black Tortoise of the North must have warned you to keep that vision for yourself as having it be known might accelerate the impending doom. There is also a chance that the future could change after all as nothing is for certain… at least when beings like us are involved.” Adrian stated as he is referring to the fact that players create variables.

“The mediator is correct. Our master believed that we should not give details of this future as it is not certain. Fortunately, the master was correct as the future I saw suddenly branched out into different paths. Still, one inevitable thing that happened is the death of my master, but I believe we can bring my master back because of the two of you.” The Seer of the Black Tortoise stated as she looked at Adrian and Levin Cloud.
