Chapter 2596: Samadhi True Fire I
Chapter 2596: Samadhi True Fire I
As Adrian was doing his excursion on the passages below, the first set of guards from the Emei Sect finally came to visit the pavilion. They went to Grand Mistress Nu Wa with the excuse that they are giving them refreshments and food. When the guards have naturally observed that there were still four of them in the pavilion, all of them left with smiles plastered in their faces.
“Wait a moment.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated before they truly left.
“Yes, Lady Nu Wa. What can we do to be of service?” One of the guards asked.
“I am wondering if the meeting could be done in haste. I believe that we will need to leave by tomorrow as the Dragon Lake Palace is also busy. There are a lot of problems in the continent right now and the Ryujin need me for managing everything. It is fine if I can just talk to one or two of your elders to make sure that there is nothing wrong.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated which made the guards look at each other with faces that look like they have a difficult time answering her demands.
“Apologies but we cannot answer on behalf of the elders, Lady Nu Wa. We can check with them now and be back an hour later if they can spare a bit of their time today.” The Emei Sect guard stated.
“If that is the case then I would like to at least know why all of them are busy. You can at least give me that courtesy as I have been very patient all this time. If I am further led to be waiting, then having this place be rained on for one week straight is not a difficult task for me.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
“We are incredibly sorry, Lady Nu Wa. The only information that we can give you is that there are lots of injured that need our care. The monsters from the forbidden zone have become riled up for a few weeks now. A lot of our own were injured and the elders are actually the ones healing them. This is also the reason why they are fortifying the barrier from the outskirts.” One of the guards wearing two jade bangles stated.
“I see. If it is caring for you own injured and sick, then I can understand. They could have at least sent me a letter that they were doing such a thing and not beating around the bush that they are busy handling other affairs.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
“We once again apologize on behalf of the sect as we feel that we have treated the great lady in a shabby manner. We can tell the elders about your plight and maybe have them visit you if they have slight free time today. We are just incredibly busy today as of the moment as most of our forces have been sent to deal with the anomalies in the barriers of the outskirts.” The Emei Sect member with two jade bangles stated.
“I shall accept this apology for now, but I would like to have at least one of your elders explain it to me today. Relay that message to them so I will believe that nothing is really wrong here.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
“As you wish, Lady Nu Wa. We shall impart all of your words upon our return.” The Emei Sect member with two jade bangles stated as the other one just bowed.
The two guard members of the Emei Sect bowed and left in a hurry as they needed to relay the message of Grand Mistress Nu Wa. The one they call Lady Nu Wa is not someone that they could offend as she is as unforgiving as she is merciful. She will erase an entire town if they ever do something that offends her or at least that is what the story goes.
“Do you think that someone will approach you today, mistress?” One of the attendants asked.
“I believe they will send one of the elders after three hours. Restoring the body of a demigod is not easy after all and they do not have the same resources as they do in the central continent. Demigods that have internal energy are more difficult to have their body reconstructed as it is not like mana. There are barely any items that contain internal energy after all.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
“Tell me, cute one. What is your master doing now?” Grand Mistress Nu Wa asked as she is now bored waiting. If not for the attempts of the attendants, then their mistress would have stormed the main sect building already.
“Master is going deeper into the ground after passing through a passageway covered in illusions. Master is already feeling the source of the soul fragment which means he is close to the Samadhi True Fire.” Dodu stated.
“At least, he seems to be very careful about this at the very least.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated as she was not just idling by.
Grand Mistress Nu Wa was already using her mastery of the elements to do surveillance on the entire sect. She was condensing small water particles above the sect which she can access reflections of. It is not perfect surveillance, but it is a way for her to check the entire area without moving in place.
“Seeing as the Emei Sect is not panicking, the young mediator is not yet in battle. I shall wait for battle to commence then.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa muttered as she proceeded to eat some biscuits and tea that is given.
“You did not even check it for poison, mistress.” On of the attendants stated.
“If there was poison then the cute one would have told us. Is there poison on the things they gave us, little one?” Grand Mistress Nu Wa asked Dodu.
“Nope!” Dodu replied enthusiastically.
“See! What did I tell you?” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
“Dodu already ate all of the spicy ones. The rest are all safe and have boring flavors.” Dodu replied which suddenly made Grand Mistress Nu Wa retract her sentence midway.
“Why do you call them spicy, little master Dodu?” One of the attendants asked.
“They are spicy because they give a little zing in my mouth and that is what master always says when it zings.” Dodu stated.
“We will have to educate the mistress again when it comes to eating things from the outside world. There is a reason why a Ryujin such as me with mastery over poison magic is accompanying you, mistress.” One of the attendants stated.
“The important thing is that the rest are safe thanks to the cute one.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated trying to deflect the situation, but her attendants just started to lecture her once again. Grand Mistress Nu Wa is now thinking if she should just start the attack prematurely to stop the nagging from her attendants.

“There are no other living beings on the other side of the door. It should be safe for me to release the seal formation so that we could enter. There are no indications that the formations also have surveillance properties. They should really invest more on those things if they want the entrance to be monitored.” Adrian stated.
“Master, please do not give our enemies any of your ideas.” Sirius thought as his master usually does this.
Adrian then proceeded to create the key formation on magic paper. He only needed one minute to create the entire runes needed to activate the thing. As soon as Adrian placed the newly created talisman on the door, the hard rock door suddenly changed into a mist that looked like he original door. Adrian and Sirius passed through the door and the two of them immediately went into reconnaissance mode.
As if there was a barrier that prevented the other side from being detected, Adrian and Sirius immediately felt the presences of numerous powerful beings. Among those powerful presences that Adrian detected is the familiar energy of Abel’s soul fragment. Unlike the pure and clean soul fragments that he has detected, the one Adrian felt has a more corrupted nature as it was filled with rage and anger.
“No doubt about it. It is here.” Adrian stated as he then looked at Sirius.
“Scout in advance, Sirius. Make sure to immediately call for me if you need some help.” Adrian stated as Sirius dove into the shadows and sprinted across the multiple doors present in the area they passed through.
“I shall pass on all the useful information, master.” Sirius stated as he vanished.
“I would need to update my own disguise.” Adrian stated as he changed his form to that of the senior Emei Sect member.
As soon as Adrian updated his look even if consumes more mana, he walked through the path that Sirius laid out. He is now in the mission of getting the soul fragment as this mission has been stalled for a long time.
