Elian’s POV

*****

“Oh, gods! Oh, gods! Oh, gods! Oh—”

“Lucian. Honey, I love you, but if you keep yelling like you’re the one in labour, I’ll blast you right into another planet.”

Kyren and Lucian helped Elian away from the balcony, guiding him into the hallway.

Guards stationed there spotted them and were immediately alerted when they saw the visible distress on the Alpha King’s face.

The Rogue King, however, was the first to bark orders. “Alert every medical personnel, healer and damn priest available. Seal the palace gates. Make sure no one comes in and evacuate the palace. No average wolf can remain in it.”

The two guards exchanged a conflicted look, probably wondering why they had to evacuate the entire palace.

Elian’s eyes flickered, divine energy surging in him against his will.

Every crystal light in the hallway shattered at once, sending debris raining down on anyone unlucky enough to be close. It didn’t end there; his power covered the night sky in clouds.

The guards didn’t think twice before they pumped their feet to the nearest ascension platform, slamming alarms that alerted every single person in the palace.

“I’ll… be fine…” Elian panted, pushing away from both men as the palace descended into chaos. “Just get me to a bed.”

As they did just that, Lucian dialled his sister, brother, Seraphyne and his mother, sending them neural messages via their communication devices.

By the time Elian was brought safely to his chambers, the hallway leading to it was swimming with palace doctors, a few priests sent by Gaius and the royal family.

Lucian and Kyren were sent out of the room while Aurora joined the doctors in ensuring Elian was stable and pushed safely.

“I don’t,” he squeezed Aurora’s hand beside him as doctors arranged devices by the foot of his bed, “know why everyone’s fussing around. I’m the damn… moon god…”

The contractions squeezed so hard he thought his organs were going to explode out of his ass.

Wait… gods below, he kept forgetting these babies were meant to come out of there.

In a matter of seconds, Elian’s confidence turned to uncertainty as he shook his head repeatedly. “I change my mind.” His legs clamped together. “There has… to be another way to get those little gremlins out of there. We’ve advanced way past natural birth being a necessity, no?”

He didn’t need to look over at Aurora to know she rolled her eyes at that.

“These children are going to be Divinity, Elian,” she clutched his palm just a little tighter. “Look at me.” When he reluctantly dragged his eyes to her, she went on. “You’ll get through this. You’ve waited for these babies for months. Don’t pull out now because you definitely didn’t tell those boneheads to do that months ago.”

Heat exploded on both his cheeks.

Even the doctors either looked away or cleared their throats, trying to stifle a laugh.

“No offence, Aurora, but I hate you right now.”

“I know.” She rubbed his shoulder, head swivelling to the door. “On the other side of that door are your mates. They’re right there if you need them. Use your bonds. Concentrate. You are not alone, and you never will be, Elian.”

He gulped so hard it felt like there was a rock in his throat.

Slowly, he parted his legs open again, nodding at the doctors. They nodded back, administering a few medications to ease the process.

When the first few seconds of pushing passed, Elian genuinely thought his own children were going to drain him of every last drop of energy until he died.

His grunts and muffled screams made the entire palace tremble, signalling why Kyren asked for an evacuation to begin with.

But then—silence came faster than the chaos.

A sharp yet tiny cry pierced through the room as the lights flickered back on. Then another followed just a couple of seconds after.

The doctors at the foot of the bed stared at the little miracles, quickly using a device to wash them before wrapping them in cloth for the Luna King.

“Congratulations, your Divinity.”

Elian opened his eyes, feeling his energy coursing back into every cell again. Aurora placed a hand on her mouth. She chuckled, reaching for him with her free hand.

“Elian… you did it.” The princess brushed away the tears gathering beneath her lashes before turning toward the chamber doors. “They can come in now.”

The words had barely left her mouth before the doors swung open.

Lucian was the first through them.

He had undoubtedly been waiting directly outside, because it took only a heartbeat for him to cross the room. Kyren followed just behind, his pace far steadier than the Alpha King’s, though the tension rolling off him through the bond betrayed just how much effort it took to maintain that composure.

Neither of them spoke immediately.

Lucian’s silver eyes swept frantically across Elian’s body as though searching for injuries the healers might have somehow missed. Only after confirming that the Luna King was sitting upright, exhausted but smiling, did the breath he’d apparently been holding finally escape him.

Without caring that half the royal physicians still occupied the room, he leaned down and cupped Elian’s face between both hands before pressing a lingering kiss against his forehead.

“You scared me,” he whispered hoarsely.

Elian chuckled, though the sound carried the exhaustion of someone who’d just accomplished the impossible.

“I was the one pushing two tiny tyrants into the world, yet somehow you’re the one who looks traumatised.”

“I am traumatised.”

“You are dramatic.”

“Hey! I mean, I can be both.”

A quiet laugh escaped Elian before he rested his forehead against Lucian’s for a brief moment.

“I told you I’d be alright.”

“I know,” Lucian murmured, his voice cracking despite the smile tugging at his lips. “Doesn’t mean I believed it.”

Beside them, Kyren remained silent.

His crimson eyes had drifted away from the two of them entirely.

They settled upon the two tiny bundles resting in the doctor’s arms.

For perhaps the first time since Elian had met the Rogue King, Kyren seemed… truly uncertain.

The head healer smiled knowingly before carefully stepping toward the two fathers.

“My Kings,” she said softly. “Would you like to meet your children?”

And with that… we’ve come to the end of Omega Ascension System! This feels so surreal. It’s been over a year but we finally got here. Thanks once again for everyone who’s been here from the beginning.

I hope to see you at my other books. And I hope the ending was to your satisfaction. <3 I'll love to see your thoughts in the comments.
