Omega Ascension System[BL]

Chapter 376: _From A Slave To A God

  • Next Chapter

A few months later

“Yes, I think this would be excellent for Omega City.”

“What about the cities here, Luna King?” A man tapped a finger on a holographic map hovering over a round table where several other people were gathered.

Fortunately, this was no war room meeting.

It was a meeting for something else.

Something Elian had been meaning to do for a long time.

Creating and allocating an entire city whose primary purpose is providing a universal safe space for Omegas on the continent.

He sat across from the man, who pointed out some cities which were part of the list of considerations for possible settlements around Omega City that would increase manpower to begin construction.

“Contact their leaders,” The Luna King nodded with approval. Then his head turned to another face. “Advisor Melia. How long did you estimate for the construction projects around the city?”

Melia—a young woman and also the first Omega ever to take on a position of power in the royal court after the Luna King himself—quickly responded.

“Just around two weeks, your Divinity. Construction is already underway as we speak.”

“And protection formations?”

“Some of Lunaria’s best magi-technicians will open a discussion with you tomorrow about that, your Divinity.”

Elian smiled. “Excellent.” Slowly, he rose to his feet, revealing his surprisingly large baby bump. “That’ll be all for now, ladies and gentle wolves. If you’ll excuse me, I have to join my husbands for lunch.”

His communication ring was already ringing with Lucian’s runic contact, which he had to ignore for the last quarter of this meeting.

Kyren kept quiet, but he could already sense his growing impatience through the bond.

They’ve all been so busy these past few months. Especially him.

Being Luna King and the new patron deity of an entire Empire was no easy job.

As the others dispersed from the room, he nodded at their passing bows, greetings and even prayers. One woman even held his hand and kissed it after he gave his consent, saying she’s believing in him to give her children…

… Which sounded weird as fuck if he didn’t understand what she meant.

All Elian did was nod and tell her to believe, his powers already pulling the strings of fate in her favour.

Once the room was empty, his communication ring exploded again.

“Hello, dear husband,” Elian picked up with a teasing twist of his lips, his gaze settling on the holographic image floating out of the small device. “We just finished the meeting. I’m on my way.”

The Alpha King had a pout on his face. “You know you could easily just teleport down here, right?”

“That’s boring.”

“So you’d rather walk and stress yourself and the babies while having to bear their hunger?”

“You are unbelievable. You’re talking to a god. You know that, right?”

“Well, the last goddess died, and we still don’t know why. It could be because she did something like you are now.”

“… Rightttt.”

The sarcasm from Elian made both men laugh as he drifted down the hallway, acknowledging guards and maids who immediately dipped so low he feared their backs would break.

Soon he got to the dining room, swatting the holographic projection away.

His lips curved when he saw Kyren and Lucian standing with expectant looks in their eyes. They hastily rushed to him as one, grabbing either of his arms gently before taking him to his seat.

“I keep telling you two to stop this. I’m pregnant, not dying.”

Letting a hand rest on the Luna King’s back, Kyren shook his head. “No, what you are is our most precious and delicate diamond.”

Elian arched a brow.

With nothing but a thought, he teleported both men to their respective seats.

Lucian blinked, speechless for only a heartbeat. “Okay, our spicy diamond.”

Just before Elian could begin digging into the myriad delicacies before him, more footsteps came from the dining room’s entrance.

Aurora and her newly wedded wife, Seraphyne, were the first to walk in. Then Elowen, Sylas and even Estella followed, all settling onto different seats without invitation.

“Oh, my moon god.” Aurora gasped dramatically when she sighted Elian’s baby bump. “You keep getting bigger and bigger each time I see you.”

Elian’s cheeks flushed. “Did you just call me fat?”

“More like… well-rounded.”

“You’ve managed to make it sound even worse.”

“I’m making it accurate,” Aurora said, reaching for the wine. Elowen slapped her hand away without looking.

“Speaking of accurate.” Elowen folded her hands on the table and smiled at the room. “Since we’re all here, I should announce that Estella has officially taken the position of Beta to my son. A decision made after weeks of grueling meetings and planning between myself, the Council of Fang and our Elders.”

Silence.

Then Aurora set her glass down. “The Estella? Former poisoner Estella?”

“I’m sitting right here,” Estella said flatly.

“Yes, and I’m watching your hands.” Aurora leaned toward Seraphyne. “Taste my soup first.”

“Why is it always me?” Seraphyne sighed, but she took the spoon.

Sylas coughed into his fist, failing to hide his grin. “Congratulations. I’ll be sure to stay away from the desserts.”

“I’ve had three chances to kill Elian since the war ended,” Estella said, cutting her meat with deadly precision. “If I wanted him dead, he would’ve been dead at breakfast.”

Everyone stared with wide eyes.

“That was a joke,” she added.

“It really didn’t sound like one,” Lucian said.

Elian laughed so hard he had to set down his fork, one hand pressed to his belly as the babies kicked in protest. “Oh, by the moon. You’re all terrible.”

“She’s terrifying,” Kyren agreed, pouring him water. “That’s why she’ll make a fine Beta.”

Estella went quiet. For a moment her gaze dropped to her plate, and something softer crossed her face.

“My brother—or, at least the creep who wore his skin—held this title for years,” she said. “And he used it to destroy everything. I’ll make sure to use it to protect what’s left. For as long as I draw breath.”

The teasing faded. Lucian reached across the table and squeezed her shoulder once, briefly.

“I know you will.”

“Good,” Aurora said, recovering first. “Because if you don’t, I’ll be the one poisoning you.”

Estella actually smiled. “I’d like to see you try.”

The meal stretched on after that, warm and loud. Elowen fussed over the amount Elian was eating until he pointed out he was eating for three. Sylas and Seraphyne traded war stories about the last campaign against a few Arcadian factions who were still loyal after Amara’s fall.

Aurora proposed baby names, each worse than the last, until Kyren threatened to banish her from the Dark lands.

“Sir Fluffington is a perfectly noble name.”

“Our child is not a lapdog.”

“Not with that attitude.”

By the time the last plates were cleared, the sun had slipped below the horizon. Elian excused himself with a hand on the small of his back, waving off his husbands worried looks.

“I’m going to get some air. Finish your dessert.”

The balcony was cool and quiet. Above him, the moon hung fat and silver in a sky full of stars, and he felt the old familiar tug in his chest. It was the goddess’s power, now his, humming in answer to the light.

He rested his forearms on the stone rail and breathed.

‘A lowly omega slave,’ he thought. ‘Who would’ve believed it?’

Footsteps sounded behind him, and then two warm bodies settled on either side. Lucian’s arm slid around his waist. Kyren’s hand came to rest on the curve of his belly, thumb stroking slow circles.

“You slipped away,” Lucian said softly. “You sure you’re okay?”

“I needed a minute.”

“Everything all right?”

“Better than all right.” Elian leaned into Lucian’s shoulder. “I was just thinking about how far we’ve come.”

Kyren hummed. “Hard to believe. Months ago, I was plotting how to get you out of Lunaria alive.”

“And I was plotting how to ruin your life until you leave me voluntarily,” Lucian admitted.

“You rejected me in front of the entire court.”

“I know.” Lucian winced. “I’ll apologise to you every day if I have to.”

“You already do.” Elian smiled. “I’m not angry anymore. I just like that you keep doing it.”

Lucian huffed a laugh against his hair.

“I used to dream about this,” Elian said quietly. “Not the crown or the power. Just this. Someone who’d stay. Someone who’d look at me and see a person instead of a servant.”

Kyren’s hand tightened on his belly. “We see you. Every part of you.”

“And soon we’ll see them,” Lucian whispered, placing his palm over Kyren’s. “I can’t wait to hold them. I keep imagining their faces. Whether they’ll have your eyes.”

“Or your temper.” Kyren said.

“Or your stubbornness.” Elian shot back.

They laughed together, and the sound carried over the silver-lit city.

“I’m not afraid anymore,” Elian said. “For the first time in either of my lives. I think we’re going to be okay.”

“More than okay,” Kyren promised, pressing a kiss to his temple.

Then… something shifted.

It started as a flutter, a tight, unfamiliar pull low in his stomach. Elian stilled. He frowned, waiting for it to pass.

It didn’t. It tightened again, sharper, rolling through his abdomen like a wave.

“Elian?” Lucian straightened. “What’s wrong?”

The bond flared. Kyren’s hand jerked against the god’s belly as he felt it too, a hard, rhythmic pulse that had nothing to do with kicking.

Elian’s breath caught, his knees wobbling.

“Um,” he managed. “I think… they’re coming.”

The two Kings went rigid.

“Now?” Lucian choked.

Another contraction hit, and Elian gripped the railing hard enough to crack the stone.

“Yes—now!”
