Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Chapter 6561 True Arrogance

Chapter 6561 True Arrogance

“Damn, you aren’t Long Chen! Who are you?!” shouted Long Can.

Her gaze locked on the bone throne behind the white-robed Long Chen, and the boundless law power emanating from it sent her into a frenzy.

“I am Long Chen,” the white-robed Long Chen said calmly. “Or perhaps I should call myself the true Long Chen. Not that worthless trash you harassed during his heavenly tribulation. Ah, you foolish woman... you still don’t understand who I am. Your foolishness... it surpasses even your own standards.”

He simply shook his head contemptuously.

Long Chen’s words left countless onlookers baffled. They had no idea what he was talking about.

“My divine throne was forged by the Divine Venerate Brahma! It contains the laws of the nine heavens and ten lands, along with eons of accumulated faith energy! How dare you call some random bones a throne?! Fuck off and die!”

Long Can swung the Divine Commander Blade at Long Chen. With a flash from her divine throne, her Sword Qi transformed into an enormous divine blade that reached Long Chen in an instant.

This attack was imbued with supreme law power and was unleashed instantaneously. It was proof that Long Can could only execute law divine abilities because her throne absorbed the backlash and transformed law power into divine might. She didn’t have to strain her body or balance the laws herself.

Watching this, everyone understood why so many sought god legacies: standing atop the foundation built by countless people was essentially cheating.

As the enormous divine blade slashed down, Long Chen met it with Evilmoon. When they clashed, divine light exploded, and a terrifying wave of law power instantly flattened the surrounding mountains. Yet, Long Chen remained rooted like a boulder.

The astral winds were like knives cutting their skin. They could clearly sense the terrifying level these two had reached. Even those already far away were sent tumbling by the shockwave, unable to resist its magnitude.

Ripples spread as Long Can pressed down, but she could not shake Long Chen even when the world around them was shaking. Shock and disbelief filled her eyes.

“I already told you: as long as you aren’t a Divine Sovereign, you are an ant in front of me. Even if you summon a divine throne, it changes nothing. Do you believe me now?” Long Chen said, his tone dripping with disdain.

That casual appearance of his as he stopped the Divine Commander Blade enraged Long Can.

“Bullshit!” Long Can roared, refusing to believe it.

More of her divine throne’s runes lit up, causing her aura to grow.

“It’s useless,” Long Chen continued. “You haven’t reached the Divine Sovereign realm. You cannot contain law power fully, nor force it through its transformation. You have a throne, I have a throne. You control law power, and so do I. Even if you summoned all eight divine commanders’ thrones, you would still be powerless against me.”

Long Chen seemed to hold her status as a divine commander in contempt, stoking Long Can’s fury.

“How arrogant!” roared Long Can.

“You call me arrogant? I’ll show you what true arrogance looks like!”

Long Chen’s arm shook, and with an explosive clash, the giant blade shattered.

With a flash, Long Chen moved through Long Can’s domain effortlessly, appearing in front of her instantaneously. Runes lit up on Evilmoon as he slashed it downward.

BOOM!

Long Can raised her Divine Commander Blade in defense, only to be sent flying.

The timing and angle of Long Chen’s slash was perfect, leaving Long Can in a vulnerable position as her energy was in disarray. He was really the master of exploiting the perfect opening. Years of combat experience flowed through his movements, effortless yet deadly.

“Your mouth is annoying, and you have a temper to match it. But... you’re just too weak,” Long Chen remarked coldly, not forgetting to throw some salt to the wound.

The speed of Long Chen’s movements left the spectators unable to grasp the precision behind them. All they saw was a blur of motion—one swift strike, and Long Can was sent flying. The crowd could only watch in awe.

This was what it meant to control the tempo of a battle.

By now, the white-robed Long Chen had completely grasped Long Can’s power level. Her combat instincts were excellent, but they still fell short of his. With their power roughly matched, she couldn’t hope to beat him in battle.

Unable to accept it, Long Can roared in fury and crushed the void beneath her feet. In a hurry to regain her lost face, she charged back at the white-robed Long Chen.

Cries of alarm echoed across the battlefield. Her sword tore through Long Chen’s body in an instant—so fast that most people didn’t even see the motion.

However, Long Can’s expression darkened instantly. She was the first to realize it was only an afterimage.

Then, Evilmoon’s blood-colored glow erupted behind her like a devil’s fang.

BOOM!

Long Can instinctively raised her weapon to block, but the impact smashed through her defense and hurled her from the sky. Blood sprayed from her lips.

“Eight Gate Purgatory Slash!”

Long Chen did not give her even a heartbeat to recover. His saber descended.

A giant saber-image ripped through the heaven-encompassing net constructed by the Brahma line’s experts.

In truth, these experts were also quite foolish. The moment Long Can summoned her divine throne, they should have run. If even her divine throne couldn’t suppress Long Chen, how could a net formed by them possibly hold him? It might as well have been made of paper.

Evilmoon mercilessly slashed down, cutting heaven and earth apart.

Perhaps the Brahma line’s people had been at the top of the world for too long. Their way of thinking had regressed, and they couldn’t think for themselves. Without Long Can’s command, they stood there rigidly, maintaining a formation that had already lost all meaning.

And so, before Evilmoon, the net ruptured instantly. It collapsed in a single breath, and everything inside it was crushed. Ninety percent of the Brahma line’s experts were decimated in one go.
