At this moment, the Iron Armor Swordsman finally reacted, nodded slightly, indicating that he understood.

Thus, as agreed upon by both parties, as Xie Yanyan released the Space Power, the next second, the six people returned to the real world, exposed in front of everyone.

At this moment, because they were unclear about the situation inside, the people outside were becoming frantic, but upon seeing these six again, everyone on the scene couldn’t help but inhale a breath of cold air.

The six people were almost all injured, some with torn clothes and bloodstains, obviously having gone through a fierce battle.

“Xie Yanyan, you do have some skills, no wonder the Chamber of Commerce sought you out, but today you’re lucky; if not for my Patrol Defense Office’s mercy, you’d be dead!”

Waxman Zhang spoke first, raising his cane to point at Xie Yanyan and the other two, with a stern look and full of momentum.

Following that, Xie Yanyan, unwilling to show weakness, retorted, “Waxman Zhang, your Wax Corpse Technique truly stands alone, it’s a shame they haven’t promoted you to Deputy Director missing such an obvious talent, but don’t be arrogant. The next time we meet, I will surely settle the score with you!”

The Iron Armor Swordsman took a deep breath, closed his eyes, as if not wanting to be bothered.

After the exchange of words, Xie Yanyan withdrew with his group, while the Patrol Defense Office members on the scene, except for Waxman Zhang and the other two, lacked Netherworld Realm powers and could only watch them leave.

This was agreed upon beforehand that Xie Yanyan and his group would no longer support Yiling City, ending the matter here.

As he felt the aura of Xie Yanyan and the other two disappear into the distance, Waxman Zhang finally relaxed, no matter what, today’s task was completed.

With the previous show, presumably, Xie Yanyan and his group would have something to report back, making it a win-win for everyone.

Waxman Zhang was considered a veteran insider of the Patrol Defense Office, with a reputation not too weak in the world of martial arts, but he disliked combat, preferring brains over brawn.

Tasks belong to the organization, but one’s body is personal; if injured or severely harmed leading to a sharp drop in strength, there would be no one to complain to.

Unless absolutely necessary, or encountering extremely evil people, avoid fighting if possible. In the vast world of martial arts, peace is paramount.

Seeing Xie Yanyan and his group defeated, the many experts of the Patrol Defense Office looked at Waxman Zhang and his two companions with eyes full of admiration.

It should be known that these were real Netherworld Envoys, with Xie Yanyan leading them, who was strongly forted, known as the Cold River Lonely Elder, and was difficult to deal with.

Yet such great figures were still repelled by the experts of the Patrol Defense Office; it was hard to imagine what a brilliant fight it was, truly a lifelong regret not to witness it firsthand.

Waxman Zhang turned around, looked at the onlookers, his face showing a stern expression typical of a grand master, and then triumphantly announced: “Mission accomplished, boys, follow me back to defend Yiling City.”

“Yes!” the crowd responded in unison.

Almost as the battle in the east of the city started, on the highway from the south, a dozen black off-road vehicles raced towards Yiling City, their engines roaring.

But as the lead car slowed down, the convoy’s speed sharply reduced, eventually stopping in sequence, the road ahead was blocked.

To be precise, it was intercepted; the original checkpoint was barricaded with sandbags, with dozens of people holding weapons, ready to defend.

A man jumped out from the passenger seat of the lead car, shouting loudly, “What are you doing, hurry up and clear the road!”

“By orders from above, Yiling City has high-level Evil Cultivators, the city is now completely sealed off, return the way you came.” One person responded without expression, straightforwardly.

Upon hearing this, the man instantly got angry, half-turning, pointing at the emblem on the car and said, “I mean look closely, we are from the Bone Painting Tower, we’re entering the city for a wedding, can you take responsibility for delaying the hour?”

“I don’t care if you’re attending a wedding or a funeral, you must obey the regulations now. The road ahead is dangerous, turn back immediately.” The squad leader-looking person refused to show any sympathy, giving a decisive attitude.

“You damn…”

Just as both sides were about to argue, the passenger door of a vehicle in the middle of the convoy opened, and the person inside opened the back door, allowing a man in a white suit to gracefully step out.

The man wore a black shirt under the white suit, paired with a white tie, and white leather shoes, while the muscular bodyguard accompanying him opened an umbrella to shield him from the not-so-harsh sunlight.

The white-suited man appeared relatively young, around 35 years old, with well-maintained skin, rosy cheeks, a clean-shaven face, and impeccably styled hair. At first glance, he resembled a CEO descending from the pages of a boss-themed romance novel.

Oddly enough, if one stared at this face for too long, it brought forth a strange feeling of disharmony, as if everything was fake and incompatible with reality.

The white-suited man walked forward without glancing at the roadblocking squad leader and instead turned his head towards a small room standing beside the checkpoint.

Seeing this, the squad leader himself approached to drive the man away, as he had stepped across the previously set line of defense.

However, unexpectedly, as soon as he raised his hand, before pointing at the white-suited man in front, he seemed controlled by some force, spun around, pointed at the little house by the roadside, then opened his mouth, and out came the voice of the man in the white suit:

“Chief Wei, since we’re all here, won’t you come out for a chat?”

This scene astonished everyone present, and it didn’t stop there; the controlled squad leader slowly extended his hand, reversed his grip, drew the bronze handgun from his waist, and in his terrified gaze, the barrel rose until it rested beneath his chin.

At this moment, everyone could tell that he wasn’t acting of his own will, but he couldn’t control himself.

Just before he was about to pull the trigger, the door of the roadside room opened, a few people stepped out, with one leading wearing the Patrol Defense Office’s iconic black uniform.

“Mr. Bai, it’s been a while.”
