Chapter 632: Ashes and Asteroids
The asteroid belt that divided Mars and Jupiter was no longer visible. It would be another three days until Earth would be clearly visible.
And in that period of time since the broadcast to Earth, there was peace in the Orbital.
Everyone was preparing and planning for their invasion in the different parts of Earth,
At their distance, they already had the technology to connect and understand the current situation on Earth. Pridgeon and Alexander, which was Lanterk, received numerous offers from the Presiders up in space. Trade for information about Earth's regions and location had begun. Presiders began to prepare a drop-ship army for the invading groups.
They would all be ousted from the Orbital as this was the contract that all Presiders had agreed upon.
Earth was also preparing for the coming invasion.
There was chaos and attempts to overthrow the government.
Around the world, people began to rebel and go against the government. With an invasion coming, many parts of the world wanted to break the chain of the Unlocked and be a part of the Presiders.
Others were migrating to stronger territories. A mass exodus of ships that wanted to move down the sea began.
All of Russia vanished as their cities began to move down the Earth. Egypt's Dug Down Deep technology had been leaked to them.
In New Great Britain, a gigantic storm covered the skies above and closed gathered strongly. Yet the storms did not rage on the cities but made the skies a difficult place to enter.
China and India became a migration point for many in Europe. Under the leadership of the Double Dragons and the mighty werewolf army of Amir Mahn, they were the nation that had the largest army in the entire world.
Feats of the training and what the Unlocked soldiers could do were shown.
There was also the marriage of several Generals of One China's Dragon's Fang and the Werewolf Alphas of Amir.
The Confederate Nations now had several flying fortresses that guarded them. The size of the fortress was huge as it assimilated with some parts of the World Governing Trade Hub, was taken by the Confederate, and was now part of a grand structure between the nations of South Asia and the Pangean nations.
The large island could be seen from space, ready to receive its alien visitors.
Next to the Confederate was another country that had risen and prepared for the invasion. It hated the aliens with great vengeance and vowed to exterminate them.
Australia, under the leadership of the Realm King, was not antagonistically against the Presiders. The crimes of the Pioneers have all been revealed. Experiments and horrifying videos would circulate every day as years and year's worth of footage of experiments were being shown and broadcasted everywhere.
Although attempts to create a rebellion and oust the Realm King, they were all quickly snuffed out.
With a finger flick, Lioncourt could crush the people from a distance. He heard and sensed all of Australia. He was considered a god who knew the thoughts and the mouths, though he himself openly admitted to love the One True God that Eagle served.
On that day, Lioncourt had an important guest that arrived.
Arthur and Lara arrived. Unlike before, Lara and Zeraphine were sharing half of their forms.
Both were awake, just as how Seeker had two souls in him.
"Impressive. I felt your Realm the moment we entered this continent. Just how large is your Realm?"
"I'd make a yo mama joke, but I know you lost your mother. Anyway, the Realm is amplified by many sciences taken from Nogard, the sound relay of Richie, and many other sciences. If I extend and focus my Realm, I can scan something halfway around the world. I can vaguely sense things if I extend it this way. But for perfect control and focus, I could encompass a quarter of the Australian continent."
"So... it encompasses your mother... I see."
Lioncourt frowned.
"Well, Arthur? To more pressing matters. What future do you see? I did my best to turn this nation into an Aragarian-hating land. I showed them numerous videos about their deaths. I told you I would try to make this country not become their traitors, and I succeeded."
"Actually, no. The future shows me a conflicted battle. It's a lot better than what it was originally. But this place is Destined to be bad, Lioncourt. You showed horrifying videos to everyone, hoping to anger them. And they are angry. But when the Presiders come and cover the world, what they will wear as their armor, won't be their hatred against the Presider. They will remember all the videos... and they will fear. They will be afraid of everything you've shown them. They would think it's better if the Presiders win and we don't become the object of their experiments. They will experiment on those that fought against them." Arthur explained.
"...Damn it!" Lioncourt cursed.
"Seriously?! Why didn't you tell me?"
"I would if it would help. Anything you do will still force what has been destined to happen. Haven't you heard what Grandma Carlean said? She had a long discussion with Seeker on Seeker's dream, and they talked about Destiny. I've always wondered why certain points of events remain unchanging no matter what I do. But I guess Destiny has set its foot on this place. No matter what we do, and no what direction we drive this place, the fates of everyone in this place will always lead us to a final destination that is set in Destiny. Australia will betray us."
"Maybe I should just destroy this place and show them terror... Or tell them that that is what I'm going to do to them..." Lioncourt grumbled.
"Everyone will see you as an evil tyrant and betray you ahead. Listen, this is the best of the worst scenarios for us. That's why I didn't stop you."
"Well... this sucks!" Lioncourt sighed.
"I know you want to save this nation. And we do need to study how to fight against Fate and Destiny. But knowing the future is not enough. It's not just about how we counter the events of the future. Fate and Destiny are stronger than that."
"So what do we need?"
"Seeker spoke of many things. Zodiac signs, Feng Shui, and other luck-based things help them find a way. But none of these things would help. So we can try... the Bible."
"Repentance? You want to go all prophet Jonah on this land."
"Not just this. The many nations set to betray us. This will also increase the morale of our teams. Many are not happy with the plans we have set and say that we are no different than those Aragarians."
"Well, we are no different than those Aragarians. We do want Earth to survive the Prime Wars, but we know realistically speaking what the cost is."
"And so, we offer them a chance to repent. Repentance or destruction. Life or death. Ashes and sackcloth of repentance, or asteroid shower."
"Asteroid shower?!" Lioncourt was shocked.
"Eagle approves of this."
"That crazy pastor will approve of anything as long as he fulfills Scripture!" Lioncourt argued.
"It's the perfect thing that can spur repentance. Prophet Eagle has been preaching for the longest time. People still won't repent. We send a meteor in to devastate the lands. It falls on random areas and creates devastation. The casualties will be at the minimum for the countries that have already prepared massive bomb shelters. But it will drive hardship across the land. It's also a perfect time for our experiments to show its proof."
"...And I take it no meteor falls on the Grecco-Roman Empire and New Jerusalem?"
"Naturally. It puts the blame on the Presiders. Most parts of the world aren't going to suspect that it's us. In fact, we will be putting on a show that we can't fight back. And give the warning. It doesn't make sense for us to do this as well. Why would we allow a meteor to fall and strike our cities a week before the coming invasion?" Arthur explained.
"But I feel that this isn't the only reason why you are telling me this, personally." Lioncourt gave Arthur a suspicious look.
"Richie is on his way here. A large meteor that could destroy half of the Earth will be brought down. And as part of our... graduation exercise, we will be stopping that. But a huge meteor has to fall. When it lands, I need you to use your Realm, along with Richie, to scan the entire Earth. I believe Alean has found a hollow portion of the Earth. The impact will produce a shock wave that could heighten your realm to cover many parts of the globe. And we will use that to find Alean."
"So the final showdown between the Zeraphines is finally going to start?"
"Yes... of course, Alean and I will fight each other."
"Do you need help?"
"No. This battle is an opportunity. Perhaps, a planned time for us to fight. Never before has Fate and Destiny been so uncertain. If we want to fight and change a set destiny, we have to practice and change one that offers choices first."
"And you're hoping that repentance of the land will force and change destiny?"
"Niniveh was destined for destruction but repented. The land was spared for hundreds of years because they listened to Jonah's sermon. Beyond luck, zodiacs, and superstitions, the events of the Bible take precedence. So we use that to fight Destiny."
"Alright. I'll make my preparations. I assume that both Eagle and I will call the meteors?"
"Of course. Seeker has been informed. They will depart earlier and head to Earth with meteors. And that's when our mission begins."
