Chapter 2143 - 2143: Top Rankings (2)

According to their calculations, a few moments before the end of the First Round, Ajax was supposed to be in fourth place.

However, Selene Graves appeared out of nowhere and took fourth place.

Even though it was not a good thing for them, Thorne was mentally prepared for someone to overtake their rankings.

However, he was not expecting two participants to overtake Ajax in the rankings.

"If two participants surpassed Brother Ajax's ranking, doesn't that mean we have to get all the spots in the top 10 now?"

Moreover, it was still not guaranteed that Ajax got the sixth place, meaning that not only did Ajax have to get the sixth place, but they also had to get the remaining four places.

With each missing rank, they would lose a Divine Elemental Potion.

So, Thorne and his team started getting anxious.

[The Fifth Place: Seraphine Vale (75,000 crystals)]

"Seraphine Vale... She's the heir of the Vale Pavilion, isn't she?"

"Yes. I heard she is one of the most talented members of the younger generation in the Vale Pavilion."

"With 75,000 crystals, she has secured a place among the top five. It seems the Vale Pavilion has another reason to celebrate."

On the other hand, other participants started talking among themselves.

Although Seraphine's ranking attracted some attention, it didn't cause the same shock as Selene's. At least the participants were familiar with the Vale Pavilion and its heir.

Soon, the sixth-place ranking was revealed.

[The Sixth Place: Ajax (70,000 crystals)]

Ajax, on the other hand, remained indifferent.

'Even though I don't have any use for the Divine Elemental Potions, having a valuable item is not a bad thing.'

In short, Ajax was happy to have a Divine Elemental Potion.

"Finally, Brother Ajax's rank has appeared."

On the other hand, Thorne's team heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing Ajax, and their anxious hearts relaxed a bit.

Although their ranks had yet to appear, the gap between their crystals and Ajax's crystals was only 5,000.

Even though it still didn't guarantee their rankings, they remained hopeful.

"Huh? Ajax?"

"Who is Ajax?"

"Another dark horse from the loose cultivators?"

"Wait a second... I think I know who Ajax is. He must be the body cultivator that killed Veyric and his team."

Meanwhile, Ajax's name in the sixth position caused another stir among the participants, and some of the cultivators correctly guessed his identity.

Even before killing Veyric, Ajax had become famous for his brute killing strength, which he displayed when killing the Elemental Spirits.

However, after killing Veyric, he was known by almost all the participants.

"But why is he only in sixth place?"

"Didn't he collect an enormous number of crystals earlier?"

Some participants who had witnessed Ajax's earlier battles were surprised by his ranking.

However, those who knew nothing about what he had done after collecting his crystals couldn't understand the reason behind it.

As the participants continued discussing his ranking, the next line appeared.

[The Seventh Place: Thorne Valek (65,000 crystals)]

[The Eighth Place: Flint (65,000 crystals)]

[The Ninth Place: Garrett (65,000 crystals)]

[The Tenth Place: Bess (65,000 crystals)]

For a moment, the surroundings fell silent.

Then, Thorne's group finally reacted.

"We did it!"

Flint clenched his fists, unable to hide his excitement.

Garrett and Bess exchanged surprised glances. Neither of them had expected to enter the top 10, let alone secure a position among the highest-ranked participants.

Thorne also let out a long breath of relief as he tried to control his excitement.

Even though they had entered the Elemental Source Land hoping to obtain some rare cultivation resources, they never expected to get Divine Elemental Potions.

What's more, they got not just one Divine Elemental Potion but four.

'T-this…how did Thorne's team get four spots in the top 10?'

'Damn it…if they get four Divine Elemental Potions, the Iron Mountain Sect will surpass my Heavenly Ash Sect in no time.'

Many participants didn't know that the last four members were from the Iron Mountain Sect.

They only knew Thorne Valek, who was famous because he was the future Sect Leader of the Iron Mountain Sect.

As for Flint and the other two, they always remained low-key and quietly improved their battle prowess.

Of course, some participants like Dorian Ashveil from the Heavenly Ash Sect, which competed with the Iron Mountain Sect, knew about Thorne's entire team.

So, when he saw their rankings, Dorian was shocked and angered.

'Looks like Ajax gave the crystals to Thorne's team.'

Kael was another participant who knew about Thorne's team, and he also learned from his subordinate Rowan that Ajax had met with Thorne's team before the end of the First Round.

So, he could guess how Thorne's team of four had entered the top 10 rankings.

'I wonder what kind of deal he made with Thorne to help them that much.'

The more Kael thought about it, the more curious he became about what Thorne had offered Ajax to make him casually give away so many crystals.

Even though Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals were valuable, their value paled in comparison to Divine Elemental Potions, and now Ajax had helped them get four potions.

So, how could he not be curious?

'Forget it…since he caught the eyes of that silver witch, it would be a matter of time before he disappears from the face of this universe.'

With that, Kael shook his head and stopped thinking about Ajax. However, when he thought about Thorne's team having four Divine Elemental Potions, his eyes were filled with greed.

'It's all because of Ajax.'

Without his help, none of them would have accumulated 65,000 crystals, and most of them would probably have struggled to enter the top ten.

Everything had changed because of Ajax, and no one dared to take credit for their gains.

"Congratulations, Brother Thorne."

Ajax smiled as he congratulated him.

Thorne looked at Ajax, his expression becoming serious.

"Brother Ajax, I won't forget what you've done for us. Once I obtain the method from my great-grandfather, I'll share it with you as promised."

Ajax nodded.

"Then I'll look forward to it."

He didn't need Thorne to repay him with crystals or other treasures. The method to unseal his Divine Elemental Spirits was what mattered most to him.

Still, Ajax couldn't help glancing at the rankings one more time.

Elyndra Raith had collected 300,000 crystals, three times as many as Kael Draven.

Selene Graves had appeared out of nowhere and secured fourth place, while the heir of the Vale Pavilion had quietly entered the top five.

The Human Region certainly had no shortage of hidden talents.

'It looks like I shouldn't underestimate anyone in this place.'

Not only were the cultivators of this universe strong, but the resources, weapons, pills, and talismans they possessed were also powerful.

As Ajax thought about it, the Ancient Voice resounded once again.

[Congratulations to the top ten participants. You have successfully secured your positions in the First Round.]

[The ten participants whose names have appeared in the rankings will receive one Divine Elemental Potion each.]

As soon as the announcement ended, ten streaks of golden light descended from the sky, heading towards the ranked participants.

A golden light stopped before Ajax, revealing a small jade bottle containing a shimmering potion.

Ajax caught the bottle and examined it briefly before storing it in his storage ring.

Although he was pleased to obtain the reward, his main purpose for entering the Elemental Source Land had never been the Divine Elemental Potion.

He wanted the method to unseal his Divine Elemental Spirits, and he wanted to find the Sentient Flame hidden within this Elemental Source Land before focusing on gaining this universe's recognition.

The potion was just an added bonus.

Unlike Ajax, who was calm and composed, everyone who received the Divine Elemental Potions was excited and hurriedly stored them away.

Meanwhile, the Ancient Voice continued.

[The First Round has concluded. All participants are to remain where they are and await further instructions.]

[The Second Round [Elemental Spirit Cultivator] will begin shortly.]
