Chapter 2142 - 2142: Top Rankings (1)

[Attention to all participants, the first round has ended. The Elemental Spirit Ascension Cryatals you obtain from now will not be counted]

The Ancient Voice resounded throughout the Elemental Source Land, causing every participant to stop what they were doing and look towards the sky.

Soon, lines of golden words appeared one after another, displaying the rankings of the top ten participants.

[The First Place: Elyndra Raith (300,000 crystals)]

'What? Elyndra Raith from the Raith Spirit Clan got first place?'

Except for a few top-level powers, most people considered the Raith Spirit Clan to be relatively weak among the top powers in the Human Region.

Therefore, seeing Elyndra's name at the top of the rankings shocked countless participants.

'How the hell did she obtain that many Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals?'

'I know the Raith Spirit Clan is powerful because of their special cultivation technique, but I never expected Elyndra to collect 300,000 crystals!'

'Could it be that she has some special method to hunt Elemental Beasts?'

The participants began discussing among themselves, trying to figure out how Elyndra had collected so many crystals.

As for the few individuals from the top powers, they weren't particularly surprised that Elyndra had secured first place. However, even they were astonished by the number of crystals she had accumulated.

After all, 300,000 crystals were an enormous amount.

While everyone was still discussing Elyndra, another line of golden words appeared beneath her name.

[The Second Place: Kael Draven (100,000 crystals)]

'Finally, a much more believable number.'

'As expected of the heir of the Draven Forge Clan!'

'Looks like I still have a chance of entering the top ten!'

Compared to Elyndra's name, Kael Draven's ranking didn't cause much of a stir. Everyone knew how powerful and intelligent he was, and collecting 100,000 crystals was well within their expectations.

Moreover, the difference between Elyndra's 300,000 crystals and Kael's 100,000 crystals gave those who had accumulated around 50,000 crystals some hope of entering the top ten.

At the very least, the gap between them and the second-place participant wasn't as frightening as the gap between them and Elyndra.

[The Third Place: Dorian Ashveil (80,000 crystals)]

"As expected of the future Sect Leader of the Heavenly Ash Sect."

"Dorian is powerful, but he still can't beat Kael."

"Looks like Kael Draven won this time!"

Dorian Ashveil was another well-known genius among the top powers. There had always been a certain degree of competition between him and Kael, and the results of this round had once again placed Kael above him.

Although Dorian had collected 80,000 crystals, he was still 20,000 crystals behind Kael.

For those familiar with their rivalry, this result wasn't particularly surprising.

However, the next ranking caused an entirely different reaction.

[The Fourth Place: Selene Graves (79,980 crystals)]

"What?"

"Who is this girl?"

"I have never heard of her before!"

"She's actually in fourth place? She could have pushed Dorian's ranking even lower if she'd collected a few more crystals!"

Unlike the previous three names, Selene Graves was practically unknown to almost all the participants. Yet, she had managed to accumulate nearly 80,000 crystals and secured fourth place.

Even Ajax and Thorne's team were surprised.

After all, they had been receiving live ranking updates from Nyra every hour. According to the information she had gathered, Selene Graves had never appeared among the top ten participants.

A few minutes before the First Round ended, the tenth-place participant had possessed slightly more than 40,000 crystals.

Now, Selene had suddenly appeared in fourth place with almost twice that amount.

It meant she had obtained more than 40,000 crystals in just a few minutes!

Even Ajax would have found it difficult to achieve such a result without going all out.

"Selene Graves is a loose cultivator who follows an undead-related cultivation path, just like me. However, her attacking prowess is clearly on another level."

Nyra looked at Selene's name with a serious expression as she shared the limited information she had gathered.

"After entering the Elemental Source Land, I sent Spectros' clones to observe the participants and gather information. However, I never managed to find Selene."

She paused for a moment before continuing.

"Even I don't know what method she used to obtain so many crystals in such a short time. Either she possesses an extraordinary concealment ability, or she has a method of collecting crystals that I haven't discovered."

Nyra couldn't help but feel curious about this mysterious woman.

Spectros' greatest strengths were concealment and its ability to split into numerous clones. Even though each clone had weak attacking and defensive capabilities, they were excellent for gathering information.

Yet, despite deploying more than a hundred clones, she hadn't discovered Selene's movements.

It was a clear indication that Selene possessed extraordinary abilities.

"These undead-type cultivators... are scary."

Flint looked at Spectros floating beside Nyra and couldn't help but reveal a fearful expression.

Like Spirit Cultivation and Body Cultivation, there were different types of cultivation in every universe.

These included Sword Cultivation, Dual Cultivation, and so on.

Among them, Undead Cultivation was another one which was infamous for its unusual and eerie methods.

"It is indeed scary, but because of their mysterious abilities, their lives are also very difficult."

Thorne shook his head and explained, "Undead-type cultivators are often hunted by other cultivators because of the strange abilities they possess. On top of that, the methods they use to increase their cultivation are often misunderstood or feared by others."

He had encountered enough undead-related cultivators to understand how difficult their lives could be.

Even when they didn't provoke anyone, others might still target them simply because of their cultivation path.

"Anyway, let's focus on the rankings."

Thorne returned his attention to the golden words in the sky.

By then, another line had appeared.

Just when they thought they would see Ajax's name, they saw a different name.

[The Fifth Place: Seraphine Vale (75,000 crystals)]"What?"

"Brother Ajax is not in fifth place?"

Seeing the names, Thorne's team was shocked and began to grow anxious.
