Chapter 648: Chapter 436: We Were Wrong, We Shouldn’t Have Believed Those Lies
In an instant, a blinding light tore through the night sky like a bolt of lightning. Raphael appeared, cloaked in an aura of majesty and wrath.
He was dressed in a magnificent white robe, embroidered with golden cross-shaped Runes that glittered in the darkness.
They shone like the most brilliant stars in the dead of night, so dazzling one dared not look at them directly.
With every step he took, an invisible pressure seemed to radiate outward.
Behind him, a troop of Knights of Light stood in a disciplined formation, like an iron rampart.
The Light Power radiating from their bodies was so dense it seemed to spill forth.
It formed bright, piercing halos in the night sky, creating a stark and eerie contrast with the surrounding darkness.
These Knights of Light were like killing machines straight out of mythology.
A bone-chilling aura emanated from their every pore.
“You traitors! How dare you betray the Bright Holy See!”
Raphael’s voice, as cold as ice and filled with boundless authority, echoed through the night. It was so loud it made one’s eardrums ache, powerful enough to shatter a soul.
His eyes burned like twin pyres of fury, fixed on the former Templar Knights before him.
In his eyes, these men were already unforgivable sinners.
At Raphael’s command, the Knights of Light surged forward like ferocious beasts unleashed from a cage, an aura of utter destruction about them as they fell upon the Templar Knights.
Their movements were as synchronized as well-oiled machines. Every step, every swing of their weapons, was filled with a terrifying sense of power.
Each Knight of Light tightly gripped a longsword that radiated a sacred light, with Runes flickering and dancing along the blade.
A young Knight of Light charged at the forefront, his eyes burning with the fire of fanatical loyalty.
It was a fire that threatened to incinerate anything that stood in his way.
He leaped high, his body tracing a sharp arc through the air. The longsword in his hand, whistling with a WHOOSH, came down with the force of a thunderbolt, aimed squarely at a Templar Knight’s neck.
The Templar Knight’s eyes widened in terror. He tried to dodge, but found his body pinned in place by an invisible force, unable to move a muscle.
With a sickening thud,
the longsword struck his neck with unerring precision. Blood gushed out like a fountain, spattering the ground and forming ghastly stains in the darkness.
Another Knight of Light brandished his longsword, weaving through the ranks of the Templar Knights like a phantom.
His Swordsmanship was as swift as lightning, each swing leaving a chilling gleam of light that sent shivers down the spine.
A Templar Knight saw him coming and hastily raised his weapon to parry.
However, the Knight of Light’s terrifying strength sent a numbing shock through his arm.
His weapon was sent flying.
The Knight of Light pressed his advantage, landing a heavy kick on the man’s chest. The tremendous impact sent him flying backward, and he crashed hard onto the ground, raising a cloud of dust.
Before the Templar Knight could even struggle to his feet, the Knight of Light was upon him like a phantom, unhesitatingly plunging his longsword straight into his heart.
The Templar Knight violently coughed up a mouthful of blood, his eyes filled with despair and agony.
Then, his eyelids slowly drooped shut, and the light of life gradually faded from his eyes.
The slaughter continued, the power of the Knights of Light on full display across the battlefield.
Their attacks were a relentless tempest, one wave after another, giving their victims no chance to breathe.
Some Templar Knights were struck by Light Power, their bodies instantly consumed by the dazzling radiance, leaving nothing but an empty void, as if they had never existed.
Others were hacked to pieces by longswords, falling into pools of their own blood to struggle in agony. Their shrill screams echoed through the night, a bloodcurdling sound.
On the ground, more and more blood pooled, converging into winding rivulets that flowed slowly toward the low-lying areas. The air was thick with the pungent, nauseating stench of blood.
The faces of the Templar Knights who were somehow still alive were etched with terror and despair. They fled in a panic, scattering in every direction.
But no matter where they ran, the phantom-like figures of the Knights of Light relentlessly pursued them.
They realized there was no escape from this deadly hunt.
“Spare us! We were wrong!” A Templar Knight’s legs gave out, and he collapsed to his knees, pleading desperately with Raphael.
His face was a mess of tears and blood, which mixed together and streamed down his cheeks.
His hair was disheveled, like dry grass after a storm.
Raphael gazed down at him coldly, his eyes devoid of any pity.
‘This person before me is nothing but an insignificant ant.’ “Traitors are unforgivable!”
With that, he waved his hand nonchalantly. A blade-like ray of Light Power shot toward the Templar Knight, instantly incinerating him into a pile of ash, leaving only the faint, acrid smell of something burnt in the air.
The bloody slaughter continued for a long time, until the very last Templar Knight had fallen.
Only then did the Knights of Light cease their assault.
Their bodies were drenched in blood, and their longswords still dripped with it, each drop landing on the ground with a dull thud.
In the darkness, they looked like Demons who had walked straight out of Hell, a truly terrifying sight.
Meanwhile, Raphael stood his ground, silently observing the bloody scene before him. A satisfied smile spread across his face.
It was a smile that seemed to declare his victory to the world, a testament to the absolute annihilation of the traitors.
