Naruto World: Tenseigan
Chapter 250: Treasure Vault
Chapter 250: Chapter 250: Treasure Vault
After shifting his gaze toward the operating table, Hyuga Kagami carefully examined the Water Release clone.
From its outward appearance, there seemed to be no change whatsoever, as though the Transcription Seal he had just applied had failed to take effect.
"Did it fail?"
Startled inwardly, Kagami immediately poured all of the chakra in his body into his Tenseigan, pushing its power to the absolute limit before carefully examining the Water Release clone once again.
"Huh? Now this is interesting!"
This time, Kagami finally discovered something.
Within the Tenseigan’s field of vision, there was an almost imperceptible chakra reaction at the center of the Water Release clone’s forehead.
The chakra signature was so faint that even Kagami, despite possessing the Tenseigan, had failed to notice it at first.
That made things interesting.
The amount of chakra Kagami had just sealed into the Water Release clone’s incomplete Byakugan using the Transcription Seal had unquestionably been enormous.
Yet the chakra reaction now visible within the Water Release clone was so faint that it was almost undetectable.
If the Transcription Seal had not failed, then there was only one other possibility—
the Transcription Seal was simply that sophisticated.
So sophisticated, in fact, that it had nearly managed to deceive even Kagami’s Tenseigan.
After pondering for a moment, Kagami suddenly turned around and reached toward a large storage cabinet in the corner of the laboratory, making a grasping motion through the air.
Clatter...
In an instant, the storage cabinet was seized by a tremendous force and flew straight toward Kagami.
With a casual wave of his hand, Kagami moved the cabinet through the air and returned it to its original position.
His previously smooth brow gradually furrowed as he thought, "Huh? Why has my Wheel of Will suddenly become so sluggish? Both its pulling force and speed have weakened considerably! Could it be because I just sealed the Wheel of Will into the Water Release clone using the Transcription Seal?"
What Kagami had sealed into the Water Release clone’s incomplete Byakugan with the Transcription Seal was none other than his Tenseigan ocular ability, the Wheel of Will. That was precisely why he had tested it just now.
The result was clear.
After sealing a portion of his Tenseigan’s ocular power into the Water Release clone with the Transcription Seal, the power of his own Wheel of Will had noticeably declined when he used it again.
This unexpected development made Kagami realize that the Transcription Seal could not be used recklessly.
Once he used the Transcription Seal to seal part of his ocular power inside someone else’s body, his own ocular power was effectively divided. As a result, when he used that ocular ability himself afterward, its power would be greatly reduced.
After confirming what happened to the caster, Kagami sat down in a chair and performed the Soul Descent Technique, transferring his soul into the Water Release clone lying on the operating table.
His eyes snapped open.
Now inhabiting a different body, Kagami sat up from the operating table.
He had already spent enough time adapting to this Water Release clone that the synchronization was nearly complete. As a result, controlling this body no longer felt stiff or awkward in the slightest.
It was practically no different from controlling his original Yin Release body.
Kagami hopped cleanly down from the operating table and immediately focused on sensing the Wheel of Will that had been sealed into the Water Release clone’s Byakugan through the Transcription Seal.
"I can feel it. The Transcription Seal really did work! There’s now a portion of Tenseigan ocular power sealed inside this Byakugan, and it contains the Wheel of Will ocular ability!"
To verify what he was sensing, Kagami controlled the Water Release clone and extended both hands toward the same large storage cabinet in the corner, making another grasping motion through the air.
Clatter...
Just as when his original Yin Release body had used the Wheel of Will, an attractive force seized the large storage cabinet and dragged it toward Kagami.
Kagami flattened his hands.
Bang!
The large storage cabinet immediately dropped from the air and crashed onto the floor.
Covering his eyes with one hand, Kagami carefully sensed the changes while thinking, "The Wheel of Will sealed into this clone’s Byakugan through the Transcription Seal has also been weakened. Looks like my earlier deduction was correct. The Transcription Seal divided the ocular power of my Tenseigan, so whether it’s my original body or this clone, the power of the Wheel of Will is less than satisfactory."
After confirming the condition of the recipient, Kagami returned to his original Yin Release body and immediately reclaimed the Tenseigan ocular power he had sealed inside the Water Release clone with the Transcription Seal.
For a dōjutsu Kekkei Genkai shinobi, ocular power was everything.
Using the Transcription Seal to transfer a portion of one’s ocular power elsewhere was, in essence, the same as transferring away a portion of one’s own strength.
For a dōjutsu Kekkei Genkai shinobi, this was an extremely dangerous and risky act. If that portion of ocular power could not be reclaimed in time, it might even be permanently lost.
Even so, Kagami couldn’t help but marvel inwardly.
"The Uchiha clan’s Transcription Seal really is an incredible technique!"
Before this, there had always been one question lingering in the back of Kagami’s mind.
How exactly had Uchiha Madara used the Transcription Seal to delay the activation of Izanagi, thereby deceiving both the First Hokage and the Second Hokage?
After all, the sensory abilities of those two Hokage were among the very best in the entire shinobi world. As long as there had been any obvious chakra reaction remaining within Madara’s body, the First and Second Hokage would undoubtedly have detected it.
That was why the Transcription Seal’s ability to suppress a chakra signature to the absolute limit was truly remarkable.
Had Kagami not been deliberately searching for it, even he, with the Tenseigan, might have failed to notice it.
"Obito was caught off guard by Itachi... probably because even his Mangekyō Sharingan couldn’t detect the Amaterasu that Itachi had sealed into Sasuke’s Sharingan with the Transcription Seal!"
If even Kagami’s Tenseigan had nearly been deceived, then it was only natural that Obito’s Mangekyō Sharingan had been unable to detect it.
Thinking of astonishing forbidden techniques and sealing techniques such as Izanagi, Izanami, and the Transcription Seal, Kagami couldn’t help but marvel at how the Uchiha clan was truly an enormous treasure vault, one whose depths could seemingly be excavated without end.
For such a gifted clan to be destroyed by Konoha’s internal conflict would undoubtedly be an enormous loss to the development of ninjutsu throughout the shinobi world.
From the perspective of a researcher alone, every Kekkei Genkai clan in the shinobi world was a treasure vault, and the Uchiha clan was among the most dazzling of them all.
Even from the village’s perspective, the fierce and battle-hardened Uchiha were exceptional warriors that few of Konoha’s other shinobi clans could rival.
After the experiment just now, Kagami had confirmed that he had successfully mastered the Uchiha clan’s dōjutsu sealing technique, the Transcription Seal.
Without wasting any time, he immediately began making preparations for the fusion of the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
Of course, before fusing the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, there was something he needed to do first.
He needed to use the Transcription Seal to seal Uchiha Hideki’s Mangekyō Sharingan ability, Iwato, into Uchiha Ryota’s right Mangekyō Sharingan...
