’This... should be impossible...’ Naruto couldn’t help but murmur in surprise when he sensed Danzou appear at another point, while his own body, crushed by the Rasengan, returned to normal in another location.

Naruto took a step back and reappeared beside Tsunade.

"Naruto, read this." Tsunade took out a scroll and tossed it to him, and he easily caught it before opening it and beginning to read at high speed. Naruto was no longer as inattentive as he had once been; he had even become proficient in Fūinjutsu, and that alone demonstrated that he now had a much greater capacity for reading and concentration, being far more rational than he used to be.

It was then that he saw each of the abilities of Danzou’s eyes. Naruto lifted his headband slightly just so he could read the scroll, first discovering more details about Kotoamatsukami.

He had already been disgusted by the arm covered in Sharingan the moment he looked at Danzou earlier, wondering what Sasuke would think about it... He certainly would have gone mad and tried to kill Danzou at all costs.

Although he still hadn’t known the name of the technique until that moment, since the clone had basically told him what it did... Now, its explanation was quite obvious, but what truly made him frown was the other ability.

For an instant, he almost felt like looking at Danzou to check that arm of his again, but he didn’t. He simply finished reading, lowered the headband over his eyes once again, and returned the scroll.

That information was part of an order Tsunade had given to the ANBU she trusted most, detailing Danzou’s abilities so that, when the time came to face him, everyone would already have some knowledge about the enemy, and that was precisely Danzou’s greatest problem at that moment.

’I killed him right there, there was no doubt about it, but he came back and one of the eyes on his arm closed... Was there another time he died before?’ Naruto asked.

"Kakashi-Senpai managed to land a fatal blow before he recovered..." Yamato said.

Naruto nodded; there were still 8 eyes open on his arm. "All right, then we have to kill him eight more times," Naruto said, taking a step forward.

Tsunade seemed surprised by how calmly he said that after gathering the information, but merely nodded as Naruto smiled.

"Then this is a piece of cake."

He shot forward at high speed. Danzou was still observing the battlefield after being crushed by the giant Rasengan when, suddenly, he saw Naruto appear right in front of him.

Before he could react, Naruto pierced his chest using Wind Release chakra to transform his own hand into a blade, while yellowish energy condensed around it, standing out against the yellow of his own Bijuu Mode. It wasn’t exactly like Chidori, but it worked in a similar way, with Wind chakra forming tiny blades that constantly circulated around his hand and absurdly increased its cutting power.

Danzou spat out blood. "Bastard!" he shouted, but Naruto didn’t care, merely pulling his hand out of his chest and putting some distance between them. Danzou fell to his knees as he felt the strength leaving his body, staring at Naruto with pure hatred. The boy might not have been looking directly at him, but he could perfectly sense that emotion through the sensory capabilities of his current mode.

Even Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Kakashi were a little surprised to see Naruto being so ruthless, but he merely waited as Danzou had no choice but to disappear once again thanks to Izanagi. When he reappeared, he immediately tried to flee, but by then he had already understood the magnitude of the problem before him.

Naruto’s speed was absurd and, even with his eyes completely covered, he could locate and pursue him perfectly, making it clear that Danzou was at an enormous disadvantage.

Naruto merely turned his face to the side with a mocking smile as several Adamantine Chains shot out from his back, advancing at high speed toward Danzou. Upon noticing the attack, he quickly spun his body before unleashing a powerful Wind Release jutsu, creating a massive blast of air that pushed the chains back slightly, but they quickly advanced again. Their golden tips began detaching from the chains like projectiles and flew toward Danzou, one of them striking Danzou’s leg as he roared in pain, while three others passed around his body.

What Danzou hadn’t expected was for new chains to begin emerging from those that had passed by him. He knew of the Uzumaki’s famous Adamantine Chains and knew they didn’t normally work that way, but that didn’t seem to matter to Naruto. He simply used his ability to expand the tips of the chains, both the one embedded in Danzou’s leg and the others surrounding him, quickly creating a kind of golden prison that began enclosing him from all sides as more chains emerged from those tips.

Danzou immediately realized the danger. Those chains were more dangerous to him than practically any other attack at that moment, because if he were completely captured, his chakra could be suppressed and perhaps even Izanagi would become useless while he was trapped within them.

Seeing no other way out, Danzou concentrated his own chakra inside his throat and released a powerful Wind blade directly against his own neck, causing blood to gush out as Naruto watched him in shock, seeing the man mutilate himself just to die and escape the chains.

Izanagi rewrote that reality and, a few seconds later, Danzou reappeared completely unharmed, immediately trying to flee.

This time, however, Tsunade appeared in his path. She punched the ground near him, destroying everything around them and forcing Danzou to retreat as he tried to unleash several Wind Release jutsu to keep her away.

Tsunade still managed to be faster and appeared in front of him before he could complete another attack, landing a punch directly on his chest. The impact broke several of his bones and destroyed his internal organs, causing Danzou to die almost instantly.

The situation began to grow increasingly worse for him. Danzou found himself surrounded on all sides as his lives began disappearing one after another. Following Naruto’s example, everyone began acting with the same ruthlessness, knowing they didn’t need to hold back as long as Izanagi continued nullifying his deaths.

At the same time, more and more people arrived at the scene and watched the Hokage fighting that man, but few even recognized Danzou as one of the Village’s elders. They assumed he might be a man who had invaded the village, seeing him fighting the Hokage herself while the place was in chaos.

Danzou had never been such a well-known figure among the population, having spent much of his life acting from the shadows, so many simply saw Tsunade and her allies confronting an unknown man while ANBU fought other masked shinobi throughout the area. Naturally, the shinobi who arrived began questioning what was happening, and some even tried to intervene to help the Hokage.

Danzou watched all of this in disbelief. To the Village itself, he was being seen as a criminal, from the shinobi arriving at the scene to the civilians watching the battle from a distance.

He died once again and returned thanks to Izanagi, trying to flee while unleashing several Wind Release jutsu to hold back his enemies, but nothing seemed to work. They kept advancing and attacking without giving him any opportunity to escape. Kakashi, Yamato, and Jiraiya also joined the fight, while Naruto was impossible to stop with his strength... Danzou had sought strength his entire life, only to be faced with this. He might have been able to handle those four individually, but together, and with Naruto among them, he was completely outmatched, especially since Naruto could easily kill him on his own...

He had already died eight times and, when he looked at his own arm, realized that only two Sharingan remained open.

Naruto sensed a concentration of chakra beginning to gather in Danzou’s right eye. He might not possess a Byakugan to see exactly what was happening, but his sensory abilities allowed him to feel that change, and the ANBU from the Hyūga Clan positioned around the battlefield noticed it immediately as well.

"Hokage-sama! His chakra is concentrating in his right eye!" one of them shouted to Tsunade.

She was already prepared for that. After all, Minato had left information in that scroll stating that it would be important to keep at least one member of the Hyūga Clan nearby when they confronted Danzou.

If the flow of chakra began concentrating in that eye, it meant that he was about to use his Mangekyō ability, and that was exactly what was happening.

Danzou knew he was cornered and would probably die if this continued, so he had no choice but to resort to Kotoamatsukami. He would use the technique on Tsunade to turn her into a distraction and help him escape.

He would have to wait more than ten years to use that ability again, but that didn’t matter. His main objective at that moment was to survive, and if he could take the Hokage herself with him as a servant, even better.

However, before he could release the technique, a monstrous force struck him and buried him into the ground, crushing him like a rag doll. Danzou sensed something growing at tremendous speed above him, but everything happened so quickly that he barely had time to react as the enormous golden avatar of the Nine-Tailed Fox simply appeared in the middle of the Village, startling everyone around them. Naruto hadn’t thought twice before using that form to stop Danzou.

"Don’t look into his eyes!" Naruto shouted, managing to position Kurama between Danzou and Tsunade.

The gigantic Fox remained over the Village for only a brief moment before disappearing, and Naruto returned to the ground, his eyes still completely covered by his headband.

The others remained stunned by what they had just witnessed, but Tsunade quickly understood the warning. "Do the same thing as Naruto. Don’t let him control any of us. At the very least, the four of us cannot look into his eyes," she ordered before turning toward one of the ANBU. "Give me your headband." The woman removed the headband tied around her arm and tossed it to Tsunade, who quickly tied it over her own eyes, while Jiraiya, Kakashi, and Yamato did the same with their own headbands.

Danzou now had only one life left, and after that one, there would be no more. "So you can do that too?" Danzou’s voice emerged once again. This time, he didn’t try to flee, merely remained there staring at Naruto in disbelief.

Naruto turned his face toward him, even with his eyes covered. "Are you surprised? Well, don’t be for too long. You’re going to pay for everything you’ve done, Danzou."

"You think that..." He barely managed to finish the sentence before Naruto appeared in front of him with a kunai and slit his throat. Danzou fell at that very instant, and it took a few seconds for the final Izanagi to rewrite that reality, causing him to reappear once again. This time, however, he merely looked around with an expression filled with anger and hatred before raising his hands. There was no longer any way to escape from there.

"Take him. Completely block his vision with a Fūinjutsu to prevent him from releasing the ability of that eye and take him directly to the operating room. We’re going to remove his right eye," Tsunade quickly ordered.

Naruto moved a few meters away as the ANBU advanced on Danzou, restraining his body and completely blocking his vision before disappearing with him. Only then did Naruto return to Tsunade and the others, who could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

"Looks like it’s over," Kakashi said, turning his gaze toward his own hands while the Fox’s chakra still surrounded his body. Sakura and Sai, who had also taken part in the clashes against Root, approached shortly afterward, and both of them also had the same red chakra flowing around their bodies.

And, just like them, the entire Village was seeing it as well. Several ninja still remembered very well what had happened sixteen years ago, when that Fox attacked Konoha and killed their precious Hokage. That chakra would be unmistakable to everyone.

On that day, it had appeared once again, even if only for a brief moment. Everyone had been able to see the enormous golden Fox emerging above the Village, quite different from that terrifying monster from so many years ago, but it was still obvious that it was the same Fox. And now that very same chakra was surrounding several people. Among them were the Hokage herself and other members of Konoha’s upper ranks.

For those using the cloak as a source of combat power, the benefits were enormous. It was like having a gigantic source of energy assisting them, increasing their endurance, strength, speed, and especially their defense. For all the ninja watching that scene, however, it was impossible not to be shocked as they realized that, although that chakra no longer carried the same malicious feeling as before, it was still the same chakra that so many of them remembered feeling.

"Why do they have the Fox’s chakra? I saw that red-haired boy transform into it! Who is he?" one of the ninja asked.

"He... He’s Naruto Uzumaki... The jinchūriki, can’t you see? His hair changed, but what is all this?!" his companion replied. Whatever had happened to make Naruto change so much, especially his hair, he was still recognizable, and the Fox’s unmistakable chakra made it even more obvious.

"What’s going on? And who was that man they were fighting?"

The questions kept coming, but Tsunade had no time to answer any of them when she realized that there were still several battlefields scattered throughout the area, with Root members continuing to fight against the ANBU. Naruto noticed as well and immediately went to intervene alongside Kakashi, who was now much faster thanks to the Fox’s chakra. The two began moving through the different clashes, defeating one Root member after another before restraining them.

There were some particularly troublesome enemies among them, including members of the Yamanaka and Aburame clans, whose abilities were causing difficulties for the ANBU, but with Naruto and Kakashi’s arrival and the protection provided by the Nine-Tails’ chakra, dealing with all of them became much easier. Within a few minutes, they finally managed to bring the last battles to an end, and Naruto returned carrying several Root members bound by Adamantine Chains, who were placed alongside the other prisoners.

"I imagine you want some answers," Tsunade said as she looked at Naruto, maintaining a small smile. "We have some questions of our own as well." Obviously, she needed to better understand several of the things she had just witnessed.

"All right, let’s talk, Granny Tsunade," Naruto replied with a smile before turning his face toward Jiraiya. "And you, never do what you did today again, understood? I can understand that you were worried about me and didn’t want me to take part in the battle, but you lied to me. I hope this is the last time."

Naruto spoke in a rather serious tone, and his final words struck Jiraiya like a punch, making even the Sannin grow a little tense.

"Now can I go get that scroll?" Naruto finally asked, already knowing that his father from the other world had left important information.

Tsunade nodded, and shortly afterward, the Fox’s chakra began to completely disappear from her body, as well as from the bodies of Yamato, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Sakura, and Sai. Naruto then relaxed, wanting to finally read everything else his father from that other world had left for him.

They left the battlefield with the ANBU taking care of the crowd.

They were somewhere else now that the Hokage building had been destroyed, and Danzou’s summon had already been taken down from a distance by Naruto’s clone.

Some time later...

To say that he was shocked by what he found would be an understatement. There was far too much information in that scroll, information about enemies who still remained hidden, about the Akatsuki, about Obito, and many other things that Naruto had never imagined he would discover in such a way.

Naruto’s eyes immediately went to Kakashi. "Are you okay with this?" he asked. In that other world, Obito and Kakashi had also been teammates, and it seemed that their story had unfolded almost exactly the same way in this world, with Kakashi receiving Obito’s Sharingan after his supposed death. Obito himself seemed to have been someone very important to everyone, but somehow, after his supposed death, he had fallen to the dark side and had even killed Naruto’s parents, the very people who had loved Obito...

Kakashi remained silent for a few seconds before nodding. "Of course I’m not, Naruto. Obito was my comrade, the man who sacrificed himself for us. All these years, I believed his death had been honorable, that he had died as a true hero and would be remembered as such by the Village, but now I find out that he’s alive and that, somehow, he ended up alongside Madara and that Black Zetsu, taking part in a plan like this." Kakashi lowered his gaze slightly, allowing the sorrow to seep into his voice. "To think that he was alive this entire time, but followed a completely different path from the one all of us believed Obito would follow..."

Naruto couldn’t help but place a hand on his shoulder. "I’m sorry about that, but now we have to stop him. I can’t promise that I’ll hold back, Kakashi-sensei," he said seriously.

Naruto had become much more ruthless when it came to his enemies. His father had taught him that, in certain situations, it was all right to kill. It was better to stain his own hands by eliminating someone who posed a threat to everyone... It was better to stain his hands with blood than to have the blood of his fallen friends on them... He shouldn’t hesitate and allow that enemy to seize the opportunity to kill more people.

Minato had once told Naruto... Sometimes, a hero isn’t the one who keeps his hands clean, but rather the one willing to dirty his hands and sacrifice himself so that others can live without having to dirty their own hands or spill their own blood...

As the conversation continued, more information began to emerge from the scroll, much of it about a future that probably would no longer exist in that world because of all the changes that were taking place. Even so, it remained extremely valuable information.
