Chapter 911: [911] : Instant Transmission
Chapter 911: [911] : Instant Transmission
Shin had already shared everything he knew about the second Super Saiyan form with Goku and the others. In exchange, it was time for Goku to teach Shin Instant Transmission.
Goku was a man of his word, and besides, they all had a good impression of Shin. His overwhelming strength also ensured they wouldn’t try anything funny.

Goku led Shin to a wide, open area.
Kushina, however, stuck close to Shin, unwilling to leave his side.
Shin glanced between Kushina and Goku. "Goku, is it okay if my sister joins us?"
Goku didn’t mind at all and readily agreed to Shin’s request.
Once they arrived, Goku began to explain the principles of Instant Transmission.
"Every living being has a unique energy signature, a sort of frequency that’s different for everyone," Goku explained.
"Try to sense your own."
Shin focused his chakra, feeling inward. Sure enough, he could detect a faint, constant frequency emanating from his body. It was so subtle that even he would have missed it if he wasn’t looking for it.
Goku continued, "Exactly. Once you can feel your own, you can learn to sense the signatures of others, as long as you’re familiar enough with energy."
"Instant Transmission works on that principle."
"The problem is, our energy signatures fade over distance. With my own ki, for example, I can only sense someone clearly within a few meters."
Goku taught Shin everything he understood about the technique, holding nothing back.
Shin, playing the part of a good student, listened intently.
"My Instant Transmission uses this principle. The next step is to convert your body into pure energy."
"Like this," Goku demonstrated. His body flickered, briefly transforming into a slightly unstable energy state. The form didn’t last long. Shin understood that maintaining it would consume a massive amount of energy and was inherently unstable, even dangerous.
Goku then instructed Shin on how to convert his own body to energy and project it outward. He had to lock onto someone else’s frequency and then launch his energy form toward it, reassembling himself using his own unique signature upon arrival.
At this point, Shin’s curiosity got the better of him.
"What would happen if you tried to reassemble yourself using someone else’s frequency instead of your own?"
Goku shook his head, explaining that he’d had the same thought once.
"In the best-case scenario, the reassembly would fail, and you’d just reappear right where you started."
"And the worst-case scenario?" Kushina suddenly chimed in.
"My master said there’s a small chance you’d just become a cloud of energy and disappear forever."
Hearing such a grim outcome, Shin certainly wasn’t about to try such a risky maneuver. He had thought he was the first to come up with the idea, a way to catch an enemy off guard. It seemed many pioneers in the Dragon Ball world had already sacrificed themselves on that dead-end path.
Following Goku’s instructions, Shin began his first attempt.
He started by memorizing his own energy frequency. This step was simple enough—with his deep understanding and control over both his chakra and his own body, it was a piece of cake.
But the second step—converting his body into energy—proved to be incredibly difficult.
In the world of Naruto, chakra could be imbued with elemental properties. Most ninja, when using chakra, would naturally infuse it with an element like fire or earth. This was true even for Sage Arts.
But in the world of Dragon Ball, most warriors used "ki," which was pure, attribute-less energy.
So, for the people here, Instant Transmission was a three-step process: convert to energy, teleport, and reform.
But for Shin, the process was different. He would first transform into a mass of fire, water, or earth, teleport to his destination as that element, and only then reform into his physical body.
Not only was this process a step slower than everyone else’s, but the elemental form itself was a dead giveaway.
Normally, you could use Instant Transmission to make a quick escape.
But in his case, a ball of fire would suddenly appear in front of the enemy, lighting up the entire desert.
He’d basically be a glowing, elemental bullseye.
Shin was determined to find a way around this.
He began to experiment relentlessly, trying to merge the principles of his chakra with the "ki" of this world. The main challenge was breaking the habit of unconsciously adding an elemental attribute every time he used his energy.
Goku was fascinated by Shin’s flashy attempts. Who wouldn’t love a show like that?
Kushina, on the other hand, felt a pang of sympathy as she watched Shin struggle, repeating the same process over and over, growing more frustrated with each failure.
But persistence pays off.
After countless attempts, Shin finally mastered Instant Transmission.
Compared to Goku and the others, Shin still needed a longer preparation time—he hadn’t quite reached the "instant" part of the technique yet.
However, because of his immense energy levels and his more refined control, his range was an astonishing fifteen hundred meters—three to five times farther than Goku’s.
Just then, the System’s voice echoed in his mind.
"[Shin has mastered Instant Transmission. Side quest complete.]"
"[Calculating reward...]"
"[Reward calculated. Available for collection in twenty-four hours.]"
"[Warning: This modification will have a significant impact on the body. Please collect it in a private location.]"
By the time Shin finished his training, the sky had grown dark. The three of them headed back, ready to sleep.
Although Kushina insisted on sleeping with Shin, he decided it was best for them to have separate rooms to avoid any awkward glances from the others.
Late that night, Shin quietly opened the System interface, deciding to claim his Super Saiyan reward.
He told the System to begin.
Suddenly, a cluster of new cells appeared inside his body. They multiplied rapidly, quickly taking over a large area.
Shin forced himself to recall things that made him angry—like the recent memory of Cell.
With a flash of lightning, Shin’s hair and eyebrows turned a brilliant gold. His hair, except for his bangs, stood on end, and a golden aura of ki erupted around him.
"So this is the power of ki?" Shin murmured to himself.
He felt as if all the chakra in his body had been converted into "ki" the moment he entered the Super Saiyan state.
Shin clenched his fists, feeling a power completely different from his usual strength surging through him.
But when he looked down, he saw that the immense energy he’d generated had completely disintegrated his pajamas.
