Naruto: Adopted Son of Minato
Chapter 755: NASM - 755
Meanwhile, more and more people were arriving along both banks of the lake. The vendors had already set up their stalls and laid out their goods. Clearly, they were smart enough to know that huge crowds gathered here every day, so coming here to sell things was a guaranteed success—they really did have a good head for business.
"Hiroshi, I can’t believe how many people have suddenly shown up! Most of the people along the shore are local merchants, and they’ve all set up stalls here. There are even games and activities! I’m definitely going to enjoy myself to the fullest today!" Harumiko said with a grin.
Hiroshi glanced at the crowds gathering around them and nodded with a smile. He knew it was about this time of day that visitors would start arriving in large numbers, and naturally, the merchants would follow.
"You’re right. The people in this village really are good at doing business. They always pick the busiest places to set up shop. That way, they’re guaranteed a steady stream of customers and they can sell their goods easily," Hiroshi said softly, looking at the stalls lining both sides of the bank.
Harumiko nodded happily. She had a feeling she would be spending quite a bit of money today. After all, the things sold here were quite unique, and many of them were nice souvenirs worth keeping.
"Hiroshi, wait here for a moment. I’m going over there to see what they’re selling. There might be something I really like. I’ll come back and find you here later—don’t wander off anywhere!" Harumiko said with a bright smile.
"How about I come along too? Let’s meet later at the entrance to the lake, alright? That way, we can both find each other easily. It would be troublesome if you came back here and couldn’t find me," Hiroshi suggested gently.
Harumiko thought that made perfect sense and nodded in agreement. Then they parted ways. Harumiko ran toward the stalls along the bank, happily browsing items, buying a few things, and stopping to watch the street performances.
"I guess today is going to be another day of spending money. These villagers really are clever—setting up shop right here at the busiest time. They definitely know how to make good business decisions," Hiroshi thought to himself as he walked onto the bank, watching the merchants and crowds.
It was exactly as he thought: wherever there was a famous scenic spot, there would always be people selling things. Since so many outsiders came here to visit, they would inevitably want to buy something as a souvenir.
"Alright, enough sightseeing. Time to focus on the real task. I need to find the passage leading down to that cavern under the lake," Hiroshi said, shaking his head with a smile, and began walking toward the back side of the lake.
He activated his Golden Pupils again, searching carefully for the path leading to the cavern deep below. He had no intention of waiting until the Black Tortoise woke up to deal with it.
"This place really is mysterious. Even though it’s under the lake, it’s filled with air. That means there must be some place connecting it to the outside world. And that proves there has to be a path leading right into that cavern," Hiroshi reasoned silently as he searched.
Soon he reached the very edge of the village. The area here was wide open, spacious, and completely deserted.
"The entrance to the cavern must be close by now. Just a bit more effort and I’ll find it!" Hiroshi whispered with a smile, and kept walking forward.
After spending a little time searching, he finally found the entrance leading down to the cavern beneath the lake. It had taken some effort, but it was definitely worth it.
"Perfect! Finally found it. Now I just need to go down there and kill that little turtle. Since it’s still resting, I can finish it off with barely any effort. This really is an easy mission, just like I thought it would be!" Hiroshi said, standing at the entrance and looking inside with a confident smile.
With that, he jumped straight into the tunnel. The air inside was damp and humid—understandable, since it connected directly to the lake, so water was unavoidable.
"I can’t believe that after such a long time, the System finally gave me a new mission... and it turns out to be something like this. This is really rare," Hiroshi thought to himself as he made his way deeper inside.
He walked very slowly through the tunnel. The ground was slippery, so he had to be extra careful with every step.
