Chapter 3091 - 3091: The End of Time (1)
Buzz—
The Chains of Primordial Order hummed with a different energy. They were no longer tools of suppression from the Creator; they were instruments of Yun Lintian’s will, reforged by his unified power.
Nian Shi’s furious expression morphed into one of alarm. He recognized the threat immediately. These chains, now under the control of the true master of Creation and Uncreation, could bind him far more effectively than before.
“Insolent worm!” Nian Shi shrieked, his dignity utterly gone. “You think you can trap me?!”
He tried to gather his power to counter, but his soul was injured, and his connection to the body was tenuous.
Yun Lintian did not respond with words. He simply waved his hand.
CLANG!
The reforged Chains of Primordial Order shot forward like golden serpents, weaving through the spiritual space with impossible speed. They did not aim to crush or pierce; they aimed to ensnare, to impose absolute order upon the chaotic, invasive soul of the God of Time.
Nian Shi’s eyes widened in genuine panic. He dodged and weaved, lashing out with blasts of temporal energy, but the chains phased through his attacks, their nature now attuned to his essence.
He knew, with chilling certainty, that if these chains caught him here, in this spiritual realm with the World Tree supporting Yun Lintian, it would be over. He would be captured, and his eons of scheming would end in ignominious defeat.
A string of venomous curses, foul and ancient, erupted from him. He wasn’t cursing Yun Lintian. He was cursing the one who had orchestrated this entire counter-scheme.
“That BITCH!” he screamed to the heavens, his voice raw with hatred. “That scheming, foresighted WHORE! Even in death, she finds a way to thwart me!”
He knew he had to retreat. Immediately. Remaining in Yun Lintian’s body was no longer an advantage; it was a death trap. The rightful owner was awake, empowered, and supported by the heart of all creation. He had no chance here.
With a final, furious snarl towards Yun Lintian and the World Tree, Nian Shi’s soul manifestation dissolved from the Land of Nowhere.

In the external universe, amidst the devastation of their battle, the scene was one of frozen shock.
Tantai Lanling had just seen her master, on the verge of victory, suddenly go blank, get blasted away by a dying Yin, and then drift lifelessly. She was paralyzed with confusion and terror.
Yin, clutching the grievous wound in his chest where the God Slaying Sword had pierced him, was also stunned. He had expected Nian Shi to recover and finish him off. Instead, the usurper was just… floating there, unresponsive.
Then, space tore open nearby.
From the rift, a body emerged. It was Nian Shi’s original body—tall, clad in ancient robes, with sharp features and burning silver eyes. It had been hidden away in a secure timeline, a backup in case his plan of possession failed.
The drifting, vacant soul of Nian Shi streamed out of Yun Lintian’s body and shot into this original form. The silver eyes of the original body snapped open, blazing with life and fury once more. But the body also shuddered, and a wound identical to the one on Yin’s chest bloomed on it—the injury transferred back with the soul.
Tantai Lanling stared, her mind reeling. “M-Master? Your… your other body…?”
Yin coughed, dark energy flickering from his wound.
“He was forced out…?” he grinned, a dawning understanding in his pained eyes. Something had happened inside. Something had gone terribly wrong for Nian Shi.
Both of them, along with the remaining Void Hunters who had paused their fight with Tantai Lanling, turned their gazes towards Yun Lintian’s body, which was still tumbling slowly through the void.
As they watched, the body suddenly stopped its aimless drift.
It stabilized perfectly, standing upright in the emptiness of space as if on solid ground.
Then, the eyes opened.
A brilliant light erupted from them—a light that was not the cold silver of Nian Shi or the chaotic grey of forced balance. It was a clear, profound light, one of vibrant creation and deep, accepting silence existing in perfect harmony. It was the light of understanding, of ownership, of a journey completed.
The aura that bloomed from the body was familiar yet fundamentally different. It was Yun Lintian’s unique energy, but now it was… complete. It was vast, deep, and carried the weight of the World Tree and the sacrifice of countless souls.
The rightful owner had returned. Yun Lintian was back. And the universe seemed to hold its breath.
Nian Shi, now back in his original body, clutched the bleeding wound on his chest. The pain was secondary to the volcanic fury erupting within him. His silver eyes, burning with pure hatred, were locked onto the figure of Yun Lintian standing calmly in the void.
The stark difference between the vacant puppet he had controlled and this serene, powerful being was a galling insult.
“You… you wretched ant!” Nian Shi spat, his voice a venomous hiss that cut through the cosmic silence. “Do not think this changes anything! I took your body once, and I will take it again! I will rip your soul out and wear your skin as a trophy for all eternity!”
He shouted the threats, but even as the words left his mouth, a cold, logical part of his mind whispered the truth. The chance was slim. Vanishingly so.
He had felt the power in the Land of Nowhere. He understood, better than anyone, the profound unity Yun Lintian had achieved. The power he had so arrogantly wielded was now in the hands of its true master, and the difference was like that between a child playing with a sword and a master swordsman.
From the side, a sound broke the tension—a low, then rising, hacking laugh. It was Yin.
Yin was doubled over, clutching his own grievous chest wound, but he was laughing so hard that tears of void energy streamed from his eyes. The pain seemed irrelevant in the face of this supreme irony.
“Hah… AHAHAHAHA!” Yin roared, his laughter echoing mockingly. “Oh, this is rich! The great God of Time! The master schemer! Outplayed from beyond the grave by the very one you killed! She knew! That bitch of a Creator knew you would get greedy! She knew you would go for the vessel, and she laid a trap within a trap!”
He pointed a trembling finger at Nian Shi, his laughter subsiding into wheezing chuckles. “You spent eons building up to this moment, and you still got fooled! Your arrogance truly is your greatest weakness, Timekeeper!”
