Chapter 2637: Threaten

Chapter 2637: Threaten

Yun Lintian looked at the two General Class Void Creatures in their humanoid forms with

doubt. “Strange. Didn’t Fan Shen tell you anything about me? Do you think you can stop me with just the two of you?”

The Void Creatures exchanged glances, their expressions a mixture of amusement and disdain.

“Fan Shen?” one of them sneered, its voice a grating rasp that echoed through the ruined city. “That fool overestimates himself. He thinks he can control us, but we are creatures of chaos. We answer to no one.”

The other Void Creature nodded in agreement. “We are here for our own purposes,” it added, its voice a chilling whisper that sent shivers down the spines of the nearby creatures of chaos. “And your presence here… is an unexpected opportunity.”

Yun Lintian’s eyes narrowed, his grip tightening on his spear.

“What do you mean?” Yun Lintian demanded, his voice sharp and alert.

The Void Creatures smiled, their expressions turning predatory.

“We have prepared a welcome gift for you, Yun Lintian,” one of them said, its voice dripping with malice.

With a wave of its hand, the Void Creature tore open a rift in space, revealing a scene that made Yun Lintian’s blood run cold.

Behind the rift, a multitude of human figures huddled together, their faces pale with fear, their bodies trembling with terror. They were captives, their hands bound, their mouths gagged, their eyes wide with despair.

Yun Lintian frowned and asked coldly. “Are you trying to threaten me with this?” “Hahaha!”

The Void Creatures laughed, their voices echoing through the ruined city.

“This is but a small taste of what awaits your precious Primal Chaos, Yun Lintian,” one of them sneered. “If you continue to defy us, if you continue to interfere with our plans, we will unleash a torrent of destruction upon your world. We will enslave your people, devour your souls, and reduce your realm to a wasteland.”

Yun Lintian raised his brow slightly and said. “As if you haven’t done it all this time.”

He raised his spear, ready to strike, but the Void Creatures’ laughter intensified.

“Do not be hasty, Yun Lintian,” one of them warned, its voice laced with amusement. “If you attack us, if you make a single move, these captives will die.”

Yun Lintian’s movements froze, his spear hovering in the air. He looked at the captives, their faces filled with fear and desperation, and sighed inwardly. Although he had been ignoring many lives during this period, it was difficult to ignore them when they were right in front of him.

“You can try and see who is faster,” one of the Void Creatures said.

“What do you want?” Yun Lintian asked, his voice strained.

The Void Creatures smiled, their expressions triumphant. “We want you to stay here, Yun Lintian,” one of them said. “We want you to remain in this Ancient Battlefield, to never leave this place.”

Yun Lintian frowned slightly and said nothing.

“If you don’t, we will kill all the captives here,” one of the Void Creatures said. “Trust me. There are more than this. With your benevolent heart, I don’t think you can stand by and watch them die, right? Hehe.”

Yun Lintian turned to look at the captives and remained silent, weighing the decision.

At this moment, a young man among the captives suddenly shouted, “Sir! Don’t worry about us! We will die anyway! I hope you can avenge us!”

“That’s right! Sir, kill them and avenge us!”

“Although I am afraid of death, I don’t want to be their tool to harm others. I beg you to kill them!”

The other captives followed one after another. They seemed to have completely given up on their lives.

Yun Lintian was touched upon hearing this, but the burden in his heart grew heavy. The more they were like this, the more he wanted to save them.

“Shut up!” one of the Void Creatures roared angrily. It turned to Yun Lintian and said, “Are you sure you want to listen to them? Your hands will be soaked with the blood of millions of lives if you do. Think about it carefully.”

“Big Brother Yun…” Linlin looked at Yun Lintian worriedly.

Yun Lintian stared at the Void Creatures for a while and let out a long exhale. He seemed to have finally made a decision. He turned to the captives and said with a smile, “Don’t worry, everyone. All of you will be fine.”

The Void Creatures frowned deeply when they heard this and became more vigilant.

Yun Lintian turned to look at them and said, “Honestly, I didn’t expect you to resort to such a lowly method. However, you should really talk with Fan Shen before coming up with this idea.”

“What do you mean?” The Void Creature asked coldly. “Do you think you can save them in this situation?”

Yun Lintian didn’t say anything further, and a black glow suddenly appeared in his eyes.

The Void Creatures suddenly felt a strange sensation, as if the world around them had gone silent. They could no longer see, hear, or feel anything. It was as if they had been completely cut off from reality.

Yun Lintian had unleashed the power of the God of Darkness, a power he had only recently obtained. He combined it with the Law of Space, creating a domain of absolute darkness that enveloped the Void Creatures, sealing their perception and blocking them from perceiving

anything.

Before the Void Creatures could react, Yun Lintian had already vanished from his spot. He reappeared above the Void Creatures, the White Dragon Spear in his hand, its tip glowing with an ominous black light.

“Five Elements Spear Art, Imperishable Flame!”

Yun Lintian thrust his spear forward, unleashing a torrent of black flames that engulfed the Void Creatures. The flames were unlike anything they had ever encountered before. They were the flames of the abyss, the flames of destruction, the flames that could incinerate even the

void.

“ARGHH!”

The Void Creatures roared in agony as the black flames burned their ethereal flesh. They desperately tried to defend themselves, to extinguish the flames, but it was futile. The flames were relentless, clinging to their bodies, seeping into their very essence.

The Void Creatures’ forms flickered and distorted as they struggled against the overwhelming power of the Imperishable Flame. But their resistance was futile. The flames were too

powerful, too destructive.

Their screams of pain and rage echoed through the ruined city, a testament to their suffering.

Yun Lintian watched impassively as the Void Creatures burned.

“You… You will regret this!”
