Chapter 569 Taking The President On A Quick World Tour
Liam and Lucy appeared in the Oval Office.
“Master, I’ve scrubbed us from the cameras. We won’t register and they won’t be able to notice anything is wrong,” Lucy said a second after they appeared.
“I trust in your capabilities, Lucy,” Liam said.
“Thank you, Master. The President is out at a meeting but it’s already over, and she’s on her way back.”
“Good,” Liam said, as he walked to the Presidential seat.
He reached the chair and spun it, wondering about the fact that two groups always fight tooth and nail to put someone on it.
He thought of what each person that had sat on the seat had achieved in the past fifty years and shook his head in disappointment.
He decided not to think too much about it. One of the reasons why he hadn’t had any plan of taking over the world, and probably wouldn’t in the far future, was because it was too bothersome.
Taking over the world meant also taking over the problems plaguing it and solving them. One might say that they would be easy for Liam to solve, but he begged to say otherwise.
Humans were anything but satisfied and contented. Even if he solved all the problems plaguing the world at the moment, more complex ones would arise, giving him more work.
Of course, that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to help. He would, but he was not going to pamper humanity.
The initial reason he had created Nova Technologies was to start a business and introduce advanced technology into the world.
But the reason had changed over the past months, or he wouldn’t have had the idea for commercial space tourism.
His reason for Nova Technologies now was to lay the foundation for humanity, show them what was possible and probably act as a guardian.
He had decided Nova Technologies wouldn’t go beyond that. But it didn’t mean he would abandon humanity when they were in trouble — though that was only when it came to extraterrestrial threats.
Liam wasn’t sure of the reason why, but he had started to faintly feel towards humanity the way parents felt towards children.
“Is it because of my Primordial Human race?” He asked himself.
He was curious, but the answer was something he would probably find out in the future.
The clear sound of approaching footsteps from down the hallway, footsteps that shouldn’t be heard at all, drifted into his ear and broke his line of thought.
He turned to the door and listened as the footsteps got closer. He could see them clearly with his spirit sense and his telekinetic sense.
The approaching footsteps belonged to the President, walking between two Secret Service agents.
They reached the door and the lead agent opened it for her.
She walked in and the agent closed the door behind her, taking up position with the other outside.
The President sighed tiredly as she walked to her seat.
“It’s always a Nova Technologies related meeting every week. When is it going to end? Now I understand why James didn’t fight it when they impeached him,” she said.
“What happened to Nova Technologies?” Liam asked with a small curious smile, standing beside the Presidential seat.
The President paused mid-step when she heard the unfamiliar voice and found someone who hadn’t been there now standing in front of her.
She looked at the unfamiliar, yet familiar face and realised who he was.
Liam Scott.
She had seen his face when it was plastered over the news around the world. For someone in her position, it would have been terrible not to be familiar with him.
“Mr Scott. What are you doing here and how did you get in?” She asked.
“You’re not calling for help. We’re off to a good start,” Liam nodded. “As for the reason why I’m here, let’s talk about it somewhere else,” he said, as he walked towards her.
The President took a step back. She was about to turn and call for security when she saw Liam, who had been several steps away, close the distance between them in an instant.
“Don’t lower my rating for you,” Liam said.
He made a slash in front of him and the space tore apart, revealing what looked like a void but purple in colour.
“After you,” Liam gestured to the President, who now wore a petrified look on her face.
Her eyes moved between Liam and the tear in front of her, which looked like it led to the depths of hell.
Liam nodded, gesturing for her to walk in.
The President looked at him, wanting to say something, but Liam shook his head. She gulped and slowly stepped forward.
She reached the tear and walked through it, expecting to feel something unpleasant but she didn’t.
Liam stepped through immediately after. Lucy followed behind him.

They stepped out of the tear and the President found herself standing what could be described as hundreds of feet above the White House.
Her face turned even paler and her body went cold with fear. She turned to look at Liam and saw him standing casually in the air, entirely unbothered, with the woman beside him.
“You don’t have to worry about falling. You won’t,” Liam said.
“How do you know that I won’t fall? And how is this possible?” She asked.
“Because I’m the one holding you up,” Liam replied.
“But I didn’t come to see you to show you what I can do. I came for something else. First, let’s take a short trip around the world,” he said.
Before the President could react, the sky in front of her narrowed to a single point, then she found herself standing over an active volcano.
“This is Kīlauea,” Liam said.
The heat rose in visible waves from the lava field, distorting the air above the caldera until the landscape beneath them rippled like a reflection on disturbed water. The glow from the active flow was deep orange at the edges and white at the centre, bright enough to compete with the daylight above it.
The President felt the warmth on her face before she had fully processed where she was — a dry, insistent heat pressing against her skin. She looked down involuntarily and immediately wished she hadn’t.
The sky narrowed again and she found herself above a snow-covered peak.
A massive blast of cold wind struck her and she gnashed her teeth, feeling as though she had been submerged in Antarctic waters.
“Mount Everest,” Liam said.
She heard nothing except the constant howl of wind blasting against her.
The sky narrowed once more and she found herself standing before a massive glass window overlooking the darkness of outer space and the familiar floating structures above a certain lunar facility.
“Take a seat. Let’s begin our conversation,” Liam said.
