My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains
Chapter 474: Unfair Numbers (II) (2nd Bonus)
At that very moment, an enormous bone tentacle suddenly lashed down from the air above him.
Nathan immediately dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the massive appendage.
Unfortunately, he had flown directly into the path of another approaching demon; Tharnaron.
The Grade 9 Blade Master demon came flying toward him with two red swords in his hands.
Nathan only noticed him at the last moment and made the attempt to raise a purple magical shield in front of himself, but the attack came too quickly.
The barrier had barely formed when Tharnaron’s blades struck it which caused an impact that sent Nathan flying backward.
He crashed onto the ground, leaving himself vulnerable to the next attack which were several spikes of bones suddenly erupting from the ground below.
Nathan’s eyes widened as the sharp bones shot upward and impaled his body, causing him to scream in agony.
The attack had come from the enormous beast that had previously assaulted him with its tentacles.
The creature was gigantic summon, with large horns protruding from its head. It had a distinct head, but the rest of its enormous body consisted of a massive collection of bone tentacles that constantly moved and twisted through the air.
The beast possessed the ability to manipulate bones, allowing it to cause them to spontaneously manifest from almost any direction it desired.
And it was not acting on its own. The creature was being controlled by Brilvos, a Grade 10 necromancer demon.
The red-haired demon stood some distance away, gripping a staff in one hand while wearing garments fashioned from bones.
While Nathan was still impaled by the bones, he flicked his wrist to command several of the floating vengeful spirits surrounding him into action.
The purple skull-like spirits entered the bone structures and took control of them, forcing the massive projectiles to recede back into the ground.
Nathan slowly pulled himself free as the bones withdrew.
Several holes had been left throughout his body, but they were already beginning to heal. Flesh rapidly regenerated around the wounds as Nathan flew upward once more.
But Tharnaron was already coming for him again.
The Blade Master demon spread his red wings and flew toward Nathan, his two red swords raised as he prepared to strike.
But Nathan raised a hand in his direction to deliver a counterattack.
A purple magic circle appeared before his palm, and a concentrated blast of purple magical energy erupted from it at point-blank range striking directly at Tharnaron and sending him flying backward.
Nathan barely had a moment to recover before another attack came.
This time, it came from the fused form of the Grade 9 necromancer Zar’gos and his summon.
The fused creature resembled a green-skinned, beastly demonic shaman with a third glowing eye in the center of its forehead, wild leafy antlers, and a wide, toothy grin. Extra pale-green arms covered in spiral markings and clawed hands protruded from its chest and shoulders, with several of them pierced by nails and spikes.
This fused summon possessed the skill of Status Promotion.
And at this moment, it was Nathan’s worst nightmare.
Nathan was still recovering from the pain caused by Brilvos’s bone monster when Zar’gos’s ability took effect.
The ability could promote an existing status condition affecting its target, regardless of how minor that condition was.
A small cut, a bruise, even the slightest injury.
Any existing condition could be amplified to an extreme degree.
A minor bruise could be promoted into pain so intense that it felt as though the affected area were being submerged in molten lava.
Nathan suddenly screamed once more in agony.
The conditions required for the ability had already been fulfilled, and he was in no position to directly counter it.
The pain from his previous injuries was being amplified beyond what his body was normally capable of enduring.
And once again, Nathan was left vulnerable.
Another enormous bone tentacle lashed toward him from above, striking down Nathan toward the ground.
Before he could recover, attacks from the surrounding demon lords came rushing toward him from every direction.
Powerful magic blasts from Delgran.
Another barrage of dark-red arrows from Mezoris.
Flaming fists from Irgrarin.
More bone projectiles launched by Brilvos’s monstrous summon.
Every attack was already powerful on its own.
But now, all of the damage and status effects they inflicted were being further amplified by Zar’gos’s Status Promotion.
Nathan was being overwhelmed from every direction.
—
Jillia did not seem to be faring any better.
Of the nine right-hands she had been fighting, she had actually managed to kill three of them, one of whom had been a Grade 8 demon.
But the relentless attacks had eventually overwhelmed her.
Jillia was now lying on the ground with her back against the earth, blood running from the corner of her lips as she slowly dragged herself backward.
The right-hand of Eorlagar, was approaching her.
The Grade 8 berserker demon was also badly wounded, blood covering parts of his face and body. His axe remained firmly in his right hand, while in his left, he carried Jillia’s Dhurandar.
He had successfully disarmed her of her most powerful weapon.
The demon said nothing as he raised his axe and swung his axe through Jillia’s torso, severing her body into two.
Jillia screamed as her upper body was separated from her lower half. It was one of the most excruciating things she had ever felt as a demon.
Her body began trembling from the pain, while the flesh around the severed area immediately began attempting to regenerate, with steam-like vapor hissing from the wound.
But the berserker gave her no chance.
He drove her dhurandar straight through the center of her upper body.
The sword pierced through her and buried itself deep into the ground, pinning her in place.
Jillia screamed again.
The wound continued bleeding, while the sword’s position made it considerably more difficult for her body to regenerate.
She had already lost a tremendous amount of stamina and magical power. At this point, she could barely move.
She could not even muster the strength to pull the Dhurandar from her body.
Her separated lower half was no longer attached to provide her with any support, leaving her upper body helplessly pinned to the ground.
The berserker demon along with the other right hands then turned away and returned to aid their lords.
If that sword was not pulled out of her soon to allow her regenerate, Jillia was bound to die from bleeding out.
And that was the intention, to let her suffer until her time of death.
