My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 30: My father has to go bankrupt today!
"Are you still thinking about those useless shares?" Sean frowned. "Even if those shares were given to me for free, I would refuse them. It would be better to build your own business with the people you choose. You idiot! You’ll only keep suffering losses with subordinates like them."
"You naughty brats!" Greo shouted. "How dare you still sit around and relax while talking about useless things like this?"
Hearing Greo’s ridiculous shouting, Sean finally opened his mouth and glared at him.
"Do you still not understand what I said?" he asked.
The noble aura he had inherited from Dion Sexa, his biological father, unconsciously radiated from him, causing Greo and the subordinates who followed him to break out in a cold sweat.
"Check my bag. You’ll find proof that Zahn is Hans Xin’s biological son. Stop making us want to kill all of you right now."
Greo stared at Sean in disbelief. But when his eyes met Sean’s sharp gaze, his body moved on its own. He took the papers from Sean’s bag and read them carefully.
His eyes moved quickly as he opened the pages one by one, his eyes widening further with every page.
He then looked at Zahn, who was still being held by his subordinates but had a calm expression, as if he were thinking about something far more important than his current situation.
Greo continued staring at him for a while before swallowing twice.
Zahn’s face did look slightly similar to his master, Hans Xin. And furthermore... he had the same eye color as Hans Xin.
How could he have overlooked this all this time?
He gently patted his own head.
Greo hurried toward Zahn and pushed aside the subordinates who were still holding both of Zahn’s arms.
He grabbed Zahn’s face and stared at him for a moment. "You... you’re really my boss’s descendant? You’re his son? How is that possible?"
Zahn immediately pushed Greo away when he touched his face. "How dare you touch my face?" Zahn snapped.
Zahn never allowed anyone to touch his face except Hana and his three grandmothers. Even when his brothers accidentally touched his face, Zahn would always push their hands away in annoyance.
He loved cleanliness, just like Hana!
"Little Boss!" Greo exclaimed, completely ignoring Zahn’s rejection. He grabbed Zahn’s leg and knelt before him, leaving the subordinates who had followed him wondering what exactly he was doing.
"Greo, what is this?" one of the subordinates asked.
"He’s our Little Boss!" Greo shouted. "Are you all blind? Can’t you recognize the face and eyes that resemble our boss?"
The subordinates Greo had brought with him were startled. They looked at one another before finally following Greo’s actions.
"We greet the Little Boss," they said together.
Zahn snorted. "Who is your Little Boss? I’m going to make my father bankrupt soon. You’ll all be retiring soon too, so don’t call me Little Boss. My father has to go bankrupt today!"
Everyone there was stunned by Zahn’s reason for rejecting the title, except Kevin and Sean.
"Little Boss?" Greo asked.
Zahn waved his hand. "We have to go to the hospital now. Hans Xin will die soon if I don’t treat him immediately."
"But..." Greo said hesitantly.
Kevin snorted, knowing exactly why Greo had spoken those hesitant words. "He’s a medical expert. No one can match his abilities except his teacher. So take him to meet your master immediately if you don’t want to bury your boss sooner today."
Greo took a breath before nodding. "Take the Little Boss to the boss."
Everyone moved at once. The cars sped away from the place and headed toward the private hospital where Hans Xin was being treated.
As soon as they arrived, they were greeted by several doctors with panicked expressions.
"Mr. Greo, the boss’s breathing is slowing down. Where is the doctor you mentioned? Why hasn’t he arrived?" one of them asked anxiously.
Zahn turned to Greo. "Bring my bag. Prepare the operating room. Prepare the medicinal ingredients on this note, and bring me hot chocolate milk immediately," he ordered.
Greo nodded, took Zahn’s bag, then handed the note in Zahn’s hand to the head doctor in charge of the hospital. "Prepare everything immediately. Not a single thing can be missing if you don’t want to lose your heads tonight," he ordered firmly, even though he was still uncertain about all of this.
"Greo, what do you mean by this? You came back without a doctor and instead brought a child here to play around?"
"Do it quickly!" Greo finally ordered as he pulled Hans Xin’s absolute command ring from his pocket.
Everyone immediately bowed their heads when they saw the ring in Greo’s hand before rushing to prepare the requested medicinal ingredients.
The ring in Greo’s hand belonged to Hans Xin and represented authority within their underground business. Whoever held it had the right to command the people within their organization.
It was a declaration that Hans Xin himself had signed when their underground business expanded five years ago.
Greo took Zahn to the operating room where Hans was. "Little Boss, this is Hans Xin, your father. Please keep him alive," he pleaded. He knelt down and pressed his forehead against the floor.
Zahn waved his hand. "Go. Clear the room. I’ll perform a simple treatment first so the poison doesn’t spread any further. Bring all the medicine here once it’s ready."
"Do you need someone to assist you?" Greo asked.
Zahn looked up at Greo, then toward the bed where Hans Xin was lying. "Lift me onto his bed. It’s too high for me."
Greo gritted his teeth before nodding. This was the only option he still dared to try. So even though Zahn looked extremely doubtful, at the very least, he had to try first.
Greo lifted Zahn’s tiny body onto the bed and placed him on top of Hans Xin. "Is this right?" he asked.
Zahn nodded. "Move the table with the medical equipment closer to me. It’s too far away. I’ll have to keep getting up and down to take things."
With trembling fingers, Greo pulled the table containing the medical equipment that Zahn had ordered yesterday closer to Hans Xin’s bed.
"Is this close enough?" Greo asked again.
Zahn nodded in satisfaction. "That’s enough. Don’t forget to bring me hot chocolate milk immediately. I haven’t eaten breakfast yet, and I’m afraid I’ll fall asleep while operating on your boss. So I need to drink warm milk while I work."
Greo looked back and forth between Zahn and Hans Xin before walking out to get warm milk for Zahn.
This was a gamble!
And he was gambling on a five-year-old child who looked like his boss!
Greo continued walking toward the kitchen and made the warm milk with his own hands.
He was prepared to die if Hans Xin could not be saved and died this time!
After delivering the warm milk to Zahn, he left the hospital with the subordinates who were still waiting outside.
"Check this," Greo said to a doctor. "I want the results within an hour."
"Greo, what is this?"
"The child does resemble the boss," Greo replied. "But I have to check it myself. I want to make sure whether he really is the boss’s son or not."
