My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 102: You’re still young
"The trial will continue," Ghani Wen ordered.
After everyone had returned to their seats, Hana, who was sitting in an extra chair, clasped her fingers tightly. She looked up and surveyed the enormous room. The place was so grand that she felt out of place being there.
"Miss Hana Frash," Ghani Wen called. "This case is directly related to your family and yourself. What do you want to do about these three men?"
Dion, Orland, and Hans watched Hana cautiously. They were not particularly worried about the Head of the Supervisory Council’s decision. Although their businesses and power were under the control of the Supervisory Council of the Melvin Continent, each of them still had ways to deal with this situation. They also had a way out. Losing a small portion of their power was no big deal to them.
There was only one thing they truly cared about: whether Hana was still willing to give them a chance.
However, even if Hana refused, they had absolutely no intention of letting her go. In the end, whether Hana chose to leave or stay with them was still within their reach.
Hana looked at the three men, then shifted her gaze to Maya Vein, who was sitting not far from her.
"I lost my memory seven years ago. I truly don’t remember anything, so I can’t decide what to do about them yet." Hana paused briefly before continuing, "However, I, Hana Frash, want everyone involved to receive the punishment they deserve."
Maya Vein smiled mockingly.
"Hana, the Vein family is willing to compensate you for all the emotional suffering you’ve endured. However, there’s one condition. You must never return to Melvin Capital."
Hana turned toward her. Her jaw tightened before she looked back at Ghani Wen.
"I know my current position isn’t strong enough for me to make demands. I also know that you may not truly intend to investigate this case to the very end. Therefore, before deciding what punishment they deserve, I want to know everything first."
Hana stood and bowed respectfully.
"Please allow me to find out what really happened seven years ago. How my parents died, how they destroyed my family’s business, and what happened to my life afterward. Please grant me access to all the information and evidence you have."
She took a breath before continuing.
"Supervisory Council, please give me this opportunity. I won’t make any decisions or press charges against anyone until I understand everything clearly."
Ghani Wen, who was sitting in the frontmost seat, narrowed his eyes. From where he sat, he briefly caught a glimpse of impatience on Tino Nair’s face. After a moment, he finally nodded.
"You are the true victim in this case. I’ll give you one month. Will that be enough?"
Hana looked at him. "What about access to the evidence?"
"I’ll grant you access to all the evidence the Supervisory Council has managed to gather over the past few days. We won’t hide a single thing from you."
"Ghani Wen!" Tino Nair interrupted. "As the former Head of the Supervisory Council of the Melvin Continent, I want to remind you that this continent cannot be left without its four rulers. Don’t waste time on unnecessary matters."
"Mr. Tino," Hana interrupted.
She looked at the man firmly.
"I know my parents’ lives may mean absolutely nothing to you. But they were my family."
"Hana..." Tino sneered. "Don’t you already have children with those three men? A woman like you really wants to hold them back and make them face punishment just because they were involved in this matter? Stop causing trouble. Your parents are already dead. Let everything end here."
He looked Hana up and down before continuing, "Don’t you also need money to raise your three children? Do you want them to lose their power and control over this territory?"
Hana clenched her fingers even tighter.
"Are you trying to protect Maya Vein?" she sneered.
Tino raised an eyebrow.
"With your position and abilities, do you think you can bring down the four rulers of the Melvin Continent? You’re dreaming too big. If you keep pushing this matter, you’ll only end up getting hurt even more."
"So you’re asking me to accept everything just like that?" Hana retorted. "You want me to let the people who destroyed my family walk free, while both my parents and my entire family have already been destroyed?"
"This is for the sake of your future and your children’s. Challenging them will bring you absolutely no benefit. Will taking revenge bring your parents back to life? Can you turn back time and fix everything?"
He looked at Hana condescendingly.
"Hana, you’re still young. Just live your life in peace. Besides, didn’t all these mistakes begin with you? If you hadn’t approached Brandon Vein in the first place, do you think any of this would have happened? You seduced the sole heir of the Vein family, who is also my granddaughter’s husband-to-be."
Hana looked up at Tino. She shook her head slowly, as though she couldn’t believe the accusation she had just heard.
"Sir," she said calmly. "First, I knew Brandon back when we were still in high school. I didn’t know him at all before that. And I wasn’t the one who approached him first." Her gaze hardened. "Are you trying to put all the blame on me?"
"I don’t care who approached whom first. What I know is that you dared to seduce a man who belonged to my granddaughter. That’s enough to make you share the blame. Besides, do you think they’re willing to accept all the consequences of what they did in the past?"
"I’m willing to accept them. But I can assure you that I had absolutely nothing to do with your parents’ deaths," Hans Xin interrupted.
Orland Hesh, who was sitting beside him, nodded.
"I agree. Although I wasn’t directly responsible for your parents’ deaths, I’ll still take responsibility for my actions." He looked at Hana before adding softly, "I won’t try to avoid it."
Dion gripped the armrest of his chair.
"I’ll take responsibility, too."
He gazed intently into Hana’s eyes.
"I wronged you. For years, I let you bear all the hardships alone. I even let you raise our three children without giving you the slightest bit of help. Hana... this is my apology. I, Dion Sexa, am willing to face the consequences of everything I’ve done."
Seeing the three men, who were usually known for their arrogance and power, readily admit their mistakes, the lawyers sitting behind them were stunned.
Were they really looking at the rulers who could take someone’s life with a single command?
Then why had they come as lawyers if their three clients were admitting their mistakes without even needing a defense? Had they only been asked to sit there and watch?
Hana fell silent. She looked at the three men one by one, her heart beating faster and faster.
Had she misjudged them?
What if they really hadn’t been directly involved in her parents’ deaths seven years ago?
