My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 101: Is what you just said true?
Hana swallowed hard as she felt Dion Sexa’s breath against her face.
However, before she could think about anything, Brandon, who was standing beside her, suddenly pulled her toward him.
"Hana, are you really going to let me go just like that? Are you choosing to be with these three men?"
Brandon shook his head. His hands gripped Hana’s shoulders tightly, as though he wanted to release all the frustration he had kept bottled up for so long.
"Hana..." He knelt before her. "You want me to make you my only wife? Fine, I will. I won’t make you my mistress. We’ll get married after this, okay? You want to raise your three children by my side? I’ll accept them, too. Please, don’t leave me again. Hana, do you know how crazy I’ve been these past seven years?"
Dion Sexa, Orland Hesh, and Hans Xin merely stared at Brandon with disdainful snorts before breaking into mocking smiles.
"Brandon... Is what you just said true?"
A voice interrupted before Brandon could answer. Someone was approaching them.
The Vein family lawyers instinctively stepped back to make way. It was as though their true ruler had finally arrived.
A black-haired man with prominent wrinkles on his face stood before them. A girl with brown hair and elegant clothes stood at his side.
Brandon immediately looked up.
Maya Vein, who had been sitting silently until then, quickly stood and walked toward them.
"Say that to me again. You want to marry this woman as your wife?"
Brandon clenched his teeth. His gaze shifted from Hana, then to Laila and the man who had just arrived.
"Yes," he replied.
"Hmm..." The man let out a derisive sound. "Brandon, do you know the consequences of—"
"That’s nonsense!" Maya Vein shouted, cutting him off.
She grabbed Brandon’s arm and clutched it tightly.
"My son is just talking nonsense. Brandon Vein will marry only one woman in his life, and that woman is Laila Nair!"
Brandon shook his head. "This is my decision. Who I marry is my own business."
He then turned toward Laila.
"Laila, you can find another man, but it won’t be me. I, Brandon Vein, have never liked you, not even for a moment. Our engagement is over, effective today."
"Brandon!"
"And one more thing. I’m taking Hana’s house back. It isn’t your home. You have no right to live there."
Slap!
A hard slap landed across Brandon’s face.
Brandon touched his cheek and wiped the corner of his mouth. Then he chuckled softly.
"Are you afraid, Mother?" he sneered. "I’ve never wanted this family. I’ve never wanted to take care of your Vein family either. So stop forcing this marriage on me."
"Brandon! Have I been feeding you pig brains all this time for you to dare speak to me like that?"
Clap! Clap! Clap!
The sound of applause rang out from the stage. A gray-haired man looked at Maya Vein, her son, and the two members of the Nair family with undisguised disdain.
"The Nair family? How impressive. Without my permission, you dare enter the territory of the Melvin Continent? Wasn’t causing trouble for my people in the past enough? Now you’ve even dared to sneak into my territory?"
The man walked closer, followed by the Deputy Head of the Supervisory Council and several others.
"Head of the Nair family," he said in a low, commanding voice upon reaching them. "Tell me, what am I supposed to do about all this?"
Tino Nair, Laila’s grandfather, turned to look at Ghani Wen.
"Long time no see, Ghani Wen," he greeted him with a mocking smile.
Ghani did not return his greeting. Instead, he stared sharply at Tino.
"What are you doing in my territory? Did you come here immediately after hearing that I was going to deal with one of your subordinates for committing a violation here?"
"What do you think? Is there anything else that could possibly draw my attention here?" Tino retorted.
The Deputy Head of the Supervisory Council stepped forward after receiving a signal from Ghani.
"The Vein family arranged for my son to be murdered. We need to deal with this matter first."
Tino glanced at Maya, then at his granddaughter, Laila.
"I’ll have my people help handle this matter."
Ghani chuckled.
"You expect me to simply let one of my subordinates, who is responsible for protecting this territory, go after he has committed a violation? Tino, do you really think that’s how things work? If so, you’ve disappointed me greatly."
"Whether you allow it or not, my people will handle this matter. We can discuss it later."
"Take Brandon Vein away first. There are a few things that need to be clarified," Tino ordered.
After that, he turned his gaze back to Ghani and his deputy. "I’ll come with you to settle everything."
Brandon struggled as several of Tino’s subordinates tried to restrain him and drag him away by force.
"Damn it! Didn’t I already tell you—"
He looked up and stared at Laila.
"Laila, don’t you have any self-respect? I don’t like you at all. How long are you going to keep doing something this crazy?"
Laila pouted, then smiled mockingly.
"Brandon, ever since you agreed to marry me and let Hana go, there’s been no turning back for you. Do you think the Nair family is so weak that we’d simply accept your rejection?"
Tino waved his hand, ordering his subordinates to take Brandon away.
"Damn it! You’re all crazy!" Brandon cursed.
Tino then shifted his gaze to Hana, who was still standing stiffly, her eyes swollen from crying.
"So this is the woman who almost stole my grandson-in-law?" he asked sarcastically. "Hana Frash?"
His gaze swept over Hana from head to toe.
Dion, Hans, and Orland immediately stepped forward, blocking Tino’s view of Hana.
"I thought someone standing behind Maya Vein wouldn’t dare come out so openly, let alone show up in the middle of a trial like this," Orland sneered. "Who would’ve thought you’d expose yourself just because you wanted to take your grandson-in-law’s wife home?"
Hans nodded slightly.
"Who would’ve thought your granddaughter was so unattractive that she’d become obsessed with a bastard like him?"
Dion Sexa chuckled. "That certainly runs in the Nair family."
Ghani Wen, who was standing beside them, raised his hand to stop the argument from escalating. He glanced at Tino’s increasingly dark expression, then turned his attention back to everyone.
"We will discuss everything here. I won’t let anyone involved in this case get away with it."
His gaze then settled on Hana.
"Especially you, Hana Frash."
