My Taming System Makes Me Overpowered

Chapter 289: The Starlight Observatory

  • Next Chapter

While the thermal steam of the bathing pavilions faded into the distance, a quieter, more ethereal corner of the Garden Realm awaited at the highest spire of the private sanctuary.

The Starlight Observatory was an open-air dome carved entirely from translucent star-quartz and reinforced obsidian, suspended high above the crystal orchards. There were no control consoles here, no tactical star-charts, and no administrative terminals—only a massive, circular viewing platform strewn with thick velvet cushions, soft silver rugs, and embroidered bolsters under the vast, breathtaking canopy of the multi-dimensional sky.

Vince stood near the curved quartz railing, his bare torso glistening faintly under the pale starlight as a dark silk robe hung loosely around his waist. The purple-black twilight matrix over his chest hummed in a slow, hypnotic rhythm, casting long, elegant shadows across the polished floor.

Soft, barefoot steps whispered against the star-quartz as Solaria and Lyrielle stepped into the observatory together.

Solaria wore a sweeping gown of spun gold silk that caught the astral light like liquid fire, her golden hair pinned back with a delicate star-crystal hairpin. Beside her, Lyrielle glided like a phantom of moonlight in a flowing violet-and-silver elven tunic, her long silver hair spilling freely over her shoulders. The contrast between the former high priestess of absolute order and the serene elven crown princess was striking, yet both shared the same look in their eyes—a profound, breathless adoration for the man waiting for them.

"You brought us away from the others, Sovereign," Solaria whispered softly, her amber eyes wide and luminous as she stopped a few paces away from him. Her hand automatically reached up to touch the warm twilight mark over her chest, which flared with a gentle, receptive pulse in response to his proximity.

"The bathing pavilion is for collective indulgence," Vince replied smoothly, his deep velvet baritone vibrating through the quiet observatory. His dark amethyst eyes fixed steadily on them both. "This space is reserved for a different kind of devotion."

Lyrielle smiled, a serene, knowing expression touching her lips as she approached him first. She lifted her elder-wood lyre, resting it gently against her side before stepping right into his space, her delicate hands coming up to rest flat against his warm chest.

"For ten thousand years, my people sang songs of mourning for a fading world, Vince," Lyrielle murmured, her violet eyes gazing up at him with an intensity that rivaled the stars above. "We believed beauty was something transient—something destined to wither under the passage of time. But standing here... with you... I realize why eternity was worth waiting for."

Vince reached out, his broad hand cupping the back of her head, his fingers tangling softly in her silver hair as he pulled her closer. "You aren’t waiting anymore, Lyrielle. You are living inside the permanent dawn."

He lowered his head and claimed her lips in a deep, slow, possessive kiss. Lyrielle let out a soft, melodic sigh, her eyes fluttering shut as she surrendered entirely to his weight, her slender arms wrapping tightly around his neck. The elder-wood lyre slipped from her fingers, clattering softly against the star-quartz floor as she melted into his embrace.

Solaria watched them with a breathless ache in her chest, her fingers trembling slightly against her golden silk skirts. Though she shared Vince with her sister-consorts, the raw, commanding weight of his attention never failed to unmake her completely.

When Vince finally released Lyrielle—leaving the elven princess flushed, panting, and leaning heavily against his side—his dark amethyst gaze shifted entirely to the Solari high priestess.

"Come here, Solaria," Vince commanded softly.

It wasn’t a request; it was an absolute, gravitational pull. Solaria’s breath caught in her throat. She stepped forward immediately, dropping gracefully to her knees right at his feet on the star-quartz floor.

"Sovereign..." she whimpered, looking up at him with unmasked worship, her amber eyes swimming with tears of sheer, overwhelming fulfillment.

Vince reached down, his large, powerful hand gripping her chin to tilt her face upward while his other hand slid around her waist, effortlessly drawing her up into his arms. Solaria gasped as he lifted her, pressing her back against the thick velvet bolsters of the central lounging platform while he settled over her frame.

"You used to kneel before empty altars and cold star-gods, Solaria," Vince murmured, his voice a low, gravelly velvet that washed over her senses and wiped away every lingering vestige of her ancient, rigid piety. "Tell me what you worship now."

"You," Solaria breathed instantly, her hands flying up to grip his broad shoulders, her fingers digging deep into his skin as her hips arched eagerly toward his frame. "Only you, Vince. My breath, my soul, my eternity—they belong to your shadow."

Lyrielle moved gracefully to join them on the cushions, sliding up beside Vince’s right side. Her cool elven hands traced a slow, soothing path up his ribs, while her lips pressed lingering, reverent kisses against his shoulder and collarbone. The combination of Lyrielle’s gentle, magical touch and Solaria’s feverish, desperate submission created an intoxicating, dual rhythm that consumed Vince entirely.

The observatory around them seemed to expand, the walls of star-quartz dissolving into the infinite, peaceful cosmos they now ruled. There were no prayers left to offer, no prophecies to fulfill, and no limits left to break.

In the quiet heights of the citadel, wrapped in the eternal devotion of his high priestess and his elven princess, the Sovereign of Creation claimed his ultimate, quiet reward—an unhurried, breathless eternity of absolute passion. Vince’s weight settled fully over Solaria, his hips pinning hers to the velvet as he claimed her mouth again, deeper this time, swallowing the soft sob of surrender that rose from her throat. Lyrielle’s cool fingers traced the twilight matrix over his heart while her lips brushed the shell of his ear, whispering elven vows of forever against his skin. Solaria’s golden gown parted under his hand, baring her trembling form to the starlight; she arched into every deliberate stroke of his fingers, her amber eyes locked on his in pure, unguarded worship. The observatory filled with the quiet symphony of their shared breathing, the soft slide of silk, and the low, resonant hum of Vince’s power answering their devotion. Time itself seemed to soften around them, every kiss and caress stretching into infinity as the twin consorts melted completely beneath their Sovereign’s absolute claim.
