My Taming System Makes Me Overpowered

Chapter 274: Shattering the mirror of creation

  • Next Chapter

The static void surrounding the Inner Sanctum did not tremble; it fractured.

When Vince’s absolute domain erupted outward from the celestial-jade citadel, the purple-black twilight washed over the endless expanse like a tidal wave of ink, instantly swallowing the pale, sterile starlight radiating from the three towering pillars of the Council of Echoes. The absolute laws that had governed the Progenitor realms for millions of years—laws of cosmic pruning, temporal recycling, and mandatory re-indexing—simply dissolved the moment they touched Vince’s twilight perimeter.

High on the bridge, Elena’s fingers danced across her cascading golden data-streams with ruthless, calculated speed.

"Council defenses are experiencing a severe resonance failure," Elena announced, her crisp voice cutting cleanly through the heavy hum of the ship’s expanding engines. "Their mirror-glass barrier is failing to calculate our origin matrix. The mathematical laws they built this universe upon are being overwritten in real-time."

"Good," Vetra grinned, hefting her heavy dark-iron broadsword onto her shoulder as she stood by the hangar deployment bay. Her crimson-gold dragon eyes flared with wild, predatory excitement. "Let’s see how much scripture those pillars can recite when they’re smashed into dust."

Beside her, Solaria adjusted the straps of her battle-gauntlets, her golden eyes burning with unyielding, devoted fire. The twilight amethyst mark over her chest pulsed in perfect synchronization with Vince’s heartbeat, radiating a warm, protective heat that shielded her soul against the psychic backwash of the creator-deities.

"The Council claims to be the voice of existence," Solaria said softly, her voice steady and resolute as she gripped the hilt of her solar blade. "Today, they learn that existence now answers to a different master."

"Go," Vince commanded smoothly from his obsidian throne.

His deep velvet baritone carried an absolute, inescapable gravity that vibrated through the entire vessel. His dark amethyst eyes remained fixed on the three colossal pillars of starlight, his arm resting protectively around Barnaby, who was watching the approaching battle with wide, curious golden eyes.

BOOM—

With a blinding flash of twilight energy, the hangar bay doors blasted outward, and the strike shuttle—accompanied by the three vanguard consorts—shot directly into the heart of the Progenitor sanctum.

The three colossal entities representing the Council of Echoes did not retreat. Their formless pillars of swirling starlight and ancient scriptures surged forward, vibrating with a collective frequency that sounded like the tolling of a million bronze bells.

"ANOMALOUS ENTITIES APPROACH," the Council resonated, their voices echoing directly into the minds of the vanguard with a crushing wave of telepathic pressure. "YOU FIGHT AGAINST THE TIDE OF ETERNITY ITSELF. RETURN TO THE ROOT OR BE UNMADE!"

"We are the eternity you’re worried about!" Vetra roared.

Channeling the absolute twilight authority blazing within her dragon-kin origin matrix, Vetra kicked the shuttle’s thrusters into overdrive, veering sharply to the left to draw the attention of the leftmost pillar. Her dark-iron broadsword ignited in a massive, roaring pillar of crimson-gold draconic fire, expanding into a colossal blade of pure energy as she brought it down in a devastating overhead cleave.

The leftmost pillar raised a shield of ancient running scriptures to block the blow.

CLANG—

The impact shook the static void, sending shockwaves of golden light cascading in every direction. The scripture shield fractured instantly under the sheer, brutal weight of Vetra’s strike, spraying golden ink-like data across the void.

"Solaria, now!" Lyrielle’s crisp voice echoed over the tactical comms.

From the co-pilot seat of the shuttle, Lyrielle drew back her elder-wood bow. The arrow she notched was not made of ordinary moonlight; it was condensed, pure twilight starlight gifted directly from Vince’s domain. She released the string with a sharp twang.

The arrow screamed through the void, bypassing the Council’s defenses with surgical precision and striking the central core of the second pillar dead center.

CRACK—

A brilliant explosion of violet-gold fire ripped through the starlight pillar, causing its formless body to flicker wildly and stutter in its ancient recitations.

"My turn," Solaria whispered.

Vaulting from the open hatch of the shuttle, Solaria plummeted toward the rightmost pillar. Her solar blade blazed with blinding, purifying intensity. As she fell, she channeled the full devotion of her soul into the blade, converting her absolute loyalty into raw offensive kinetic energy.

She descended upon the pillar like a falling sun.

"For the Sovereign!" Solaria shouted, driving her blade straight through the center of the pillar’s starlight core.

The impact was cataclysmic. The pillar let out a silent, psychic shriek that rattled the entire mirror-sphere behind them. The ancient scriptures dissolved into gray ash, and the colossal pillar of light shattered into millions of glowing fragments that rained down into the static abyss below.

BOOM— 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Within seconds, the first of the three creator-deities had been completely unmade.

Back on the bridge of the celestial-jade citadel, Vetra’s victorious laugh echoed through the comms as she circled back toward the remaining two pillars. "That’s one down! Two more to go!"

Barnaby clapped her hands together happily, burying her face into Vince’s chest with a bright, musical giggle. "Solaria and Vetra broke the big light-pole! They’re super strong, Vince!"

Vince caught Barnaby gently, his dark amethyst eyes watching the unfolding battle with calm, unyielding supremacy. He reached out with his left hand, his long fingers flexing slightly as he projected a concentrated beam of absolute twilight energy straight through the spatial gap, reinforcing the vanguard’s barriers and instantly neutralizing a retaliatory wave of temporal erasure sent by the surviving pillars.

"They are learning," Vince murmured, his velvet voice carrying a dark, dangerous promise. "And the Council is about to discover that their mirror has nothing left to reflect."

Beyond the shattered vanguard lines, the remaining two pillars shuddered, desperately pooling the raw, ancient remnants of their creation matrix into a single, localized singularity. They sought to forge a last-ditch counter-barrier of absolute non-existence—a final attempt to purge Vince’s overwhelming influence from the root grid. Yet Elena’s tracking arrays locked on instantly, anticipating every dimensional shift before the spells could fully form. With a silent, subtle wave of Vince’s hand, the gathering energy was severed, leaving the weakened creator-deities exposed and helpless before the incoming strike of his triumphant consorts.
