The Chief quickly made the arrangements.

Captain Wright didn’t object. Before heading over, he even packed up a few meals from the cafeteria to take with him.

He figured they must be hungry after rushing all the way here, so bringing some food would be convenient for them to eat whenever they could.

When Captain Wright arrived, he found that Heath Hale had beaten him to the punch. Heath had already explained the situation to the Logan Grandparents and recruited Beau.

It was a novel written from the perspective of a serial killer, and most of the descriptions were so graphic that Zoe Sawyer and the others couldn’t help but frown as they read.

Kane Lloyd was an avid fan of this book. He left comments on every Chapter, every section.

But in the latest case depicted, Kane Lloyd pointed out that some of the author’s descriptions were inaccurate. The author retorted, and their argument shifted from the plot of the novel to whether such a murder method would get you caught in real life.

The author even stated that with ideas like Kane Lloyd’s, it would be absolutely impossible to pull it off in reality—he would definitely be caught.

Finally, Kane Lloyd made a chilling threat: he would prove through his actions that he was right.

"Do you have any information on his former sister-in-law?" Evan Keller asked, looking at Captain Wright.

Captain Wright nodded and handed his phone to Evan Keller.

The file sent by the Chief included current information on Kane Lloyd’s former sister-in-law.

The former sister-in-law’s name was Rose Jennings. After her first husband’s death, she moved back in with her parents. Later, through a relative’s introduction, she met her current husband and married him two years ago.

They now have a daughter, and the family of three lives a happy and fulfilling life.

Looking at the information, Heath Hale quickly formulated a plan.

Meanwhile, Captain Wright would take another team and lie in wait at Rose Jennings’s house.

If Kane Lloyd really was the killer and his target was indeed Rose Jennings, they would be able to capture him the moment he entered.

If their judgment was wrong—if Kane Lloyd was just running his mouth online with no intention of acting and the real killer was someone else—then Zoe Sawyer’s team would still be able to sense it and catch the person before the third crime occurred.

Captain Wright, of course, had no objections. As things stood, this was the most logical plan.

Time was short. Once the plan was set, Evan Keller and the others wasted no time, splitting up to carry out their assigned tasks.

"Will we succeed this time?" Zoe Sawyer asked Evan Keller, who was beside her, as she checked her gear.
