Chapter 1224: I Revealed All My Spell Cards!

Wang Zhendao was really taken aback.

He looked at the Magic-guided Battleship on Shen Sui’s field, falling into a brief contemplation.

Shen Sui never makes meaningless moves.

There must be a unique significance to summoning this battleship.

Suppression?

Interception?

But no matter what, he couldn’t let go of the advantage of the first attack round!

With this thought in mind, Wang Zhendao continued his play.

He activated the effect of Plague Doctor, special summoning two [Plague] followers from his deck.

[Black Death Plague·Trotodov] and [Bad Blood Disease – Illa] were specially summoned to the field.

Immediately afterward, he activated the effect of Black Death Plague, revealing the top five cards of his deck and covering the Spell Cards among them on the field.

As the follower effect activated, three Spell Cards were covered on Wang Zhendao’s field.

Plague…

Shen Sui looked at the ominous followers on Wang Zhendao’s field and roughly guessed which Soul Card World the opponent came from.

“At this moment!” Shen Sui decisively interrupted the opponent’s operations, triggering the effect of the Magic-guided Battleship.

“Once per turn, when the number of Life Cards in your Magic Area changes, I can activate the effect of [Magic-guided Battleship: Dawn], to stack one Spell Card from my deck beneath it to activate.”

Shen Sui said, pointing to Wang Zhendao’s Magic Area, “Afterward, you need to reveal the covered Spell Cards. If they can be activated, they must be activated, otherwise, they must be sent to the graveyard.”

“???”

Wang Zhendao heard this effect and was immediately filled with questions.

What? Who forces others to activate card effects like this?

However, the resolution of the Magic-guided Battleship’s effect does not shift due to personal will.

Soon, the three Spell Cards just covered on Wang Zhendao’s field were revealed one by one due to the effect of the Magic-guided Battleship.

The Spell Card [Great Plague] effect was activated.

Wang Zhendao destroyed all [Plague] followers on his field, then drew the corresponding number of cards from his deck.

This card was supposed to be used when opponents try to clear his field.

Rather than having his followers destroyed for nothing, it’s better to exchange them for cards.

But activating it at such a time was definitely a pitfall for Wang Zhendao.

Fortunately, the other two Spell Cards had effects that special summoned followers on his field.

With this, Wang Zhendao slightly compensated for the previous loss.

“You activated a total of three Spell Cards.” Shen Sui said after all the Spell Cards were resolved, “So, I need to select three Spell Cards from my deck to send to the graveyard.”

Spell Cards again…

Wang Zhendao had a constant feeling that Shen Sui was up to something.

But even knowing Shen Sui’s intentions, he didn’t quite have the means to stop it.

His main followers for expansion had already been sent away by [Great Plague].

Although he wasn’t entirely unable to expand, creating the suppressive field he imagined had become very difficult.

However, players like him never rely on just one offensive strategy when building a deck.

Since he couldn’t maintain the first attack suppression…

He would create a defensive field!

As long as he held out, he could still find opportunities.

Wang Zhendao was famous for his defensive counterattacks when he debuted.

Thinking this, Wang Zhendao swiftly adjusted his strategy.

“Activate the effect of [Bad Blood Disease – Illa] in the graveyard, banish it, and discard up to three cards from my hand to the graveyard.”

“If I do, I can special summon three Bad Blood Disease derivatives on the field.”

Damn!

Shen Sui felt a jolt, watching as Wang Zhendao sent three cards from his hand to the graveyard, subsequently summoning three disgusting derivatives on the field.

“Activate the effect of [Arodef Gear Disease] just sent to the graveyard, once per turn, I can select and add one Follower Card from my deck to my hand.”

Wang Zhendao said, choosing a Follower Card from his deck.

Then he revealed it without hesitation.

“Sacrifice my three Bad Blood Disease derivatives on the field!” Wang Zhendao declared loudly, “Special summon from my hand! [Plague City: Eastern Express]!”

The next second, the roar of a steam engine echoed through the sky.

Passersby on Modu Road instinctively looked up to the sky.

And on the screens broadcasting the duel, a roaring steam train sped towards Wang Zhendao’s field.

Accompanied by the thunderous noise of the train docking, the entire field was shrouded in mist.

Wang Zhendao summoned one of his ace cards.

[Plague City: Eastern Express].

As the legendary source of horrifying plagues, this steam train was full of terrifying legends.

While reading Wang Zhendao’s records, Shen Sui thought, how could such a legendary train become one of Wang Zhendao’s follower cards.

“Activate the effect of Eastern Express.” Wang Zhendao declared loudly, “Select five Plague-related Spell Cards from my deck to cover on the field.”

“Then, based on the number of Spell Cards in my Magic Area, [Plague City: Eastern Express] gains effects sequentially.”

When there is one Spell Card in the Magic Area, Eastern Express cannot be destroyed by battle.

With two cards, neither player can special summon Follower Cards.

At three cards, the follower cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects.
