My Stubborn Soul Card Follower
Chapter 1105 - 618: Alice Is Here! (2)
Chapter 1105: Chapter 618: Alice Is Here! (2)
"You seem quite nervous, Claude." Alice’s beautiful emerald eyes looked at Shen Sui, curiously assessing him, "Is it because of me?"
"Be careful. The humans here are very fragile." Shen Sui replied, "The extraordinary power isn’t widespread here."
"Understood." Alice nodded, holding a basket of buns, "I won’t use magic casually."
"Where did you get those buns..." Shen Sui said, speechless.
Alice pointed to the Exploration Bureau staff not far away, smiling ingratiatingly at the two: "They gave them to me. They also mentioned something about checking out the Soul Card World number thirteen."
Shen Sui was suddenly drenched in cold sweat.
He realized he seemed to have seriously misjudged the issues with Alice coming to the real world.
With his own growing fame, Alice, as a Soul Card, inevitably became a hot topic online. Moreover, her card swiping saint form had become a popular meme, making her image no secret to the people of the real world.
Alice’s constitution is an absolute allure for Life Card Masters.
Shen Sui could already imagine a scene of people flocking around Alice.
"Mm! Delicious!" Completely unaware of her situation, Alice was happily accepting their offerings.
In no time, Alice had a pile of snacks in her hands... Wait, why is there an Exploration Bureau cafeteria meal card in the pile?
"I’ve changed my mind." Shen Sui said sternly.
"What?" Alice was a bit confused by Shen Sui’s words.
Shen Sui patted Alice’s shoulder and solemnly said, "If any man with ulterior motives approaches you, remember..."
With that, Shen Sui raised his hand as if grasping the opponent’s soul in the air: "Don’t hesitate, use the fireball on him."
Alice looked up at Shen Sui’s gesture, asking, somewhat understanding: "What about if a girl approaches me?"
"..."
For a moment, Shen Sui didn’t know how to respond to this.
In no time, Shen Sui couldn’t even see Alice’s figure anymore; Modu’s Exploration Bureau staff had surrounded her in layers.
If just appearing at the Exploration Bureau would cause such a frenzy, he really wondered what would happen if the people outside knew Alice had come to the real world.
"Don’t worry, everyone here has undergone professional training." Wang Ming stood beside Shen Sui, arms crossed, "They won’t spread this matter. However, I reckon if Miss Alice doesn’t disguise herself a bit, the entire internet will know about it soon."
Shen Sui glanced at Wang Ming beside him and said: "Your people are slacking off during work hours, aren’t you going to stop them?"
"It’s lunch break now." Wang Ming replied helplessly.
But sensing Shen Sui’s gaze, he coughed twice and said, "Alright, I’ll give it a try."
Wang Ming, worthy of being the new director of Modu, still had some authority, as the staff quickly dispersed.
Alice, holding a pile of food taller than herself, had her mouth stuffed to the brim. She opened her mouth to Shen Sui but couldn’t utter a word for a long time.
"Alright, you can use the ring." Shen Sui said helplessly.
After stuffing all the snacks into the ring, Alice finally felt a lot more relaxed: "Phew, this world is crazy."
If people outside knew you were here, you’d face even more madness.
"Oh, right." Alice seemed to remember something, fetched a meal card from the ring, and handed it to Shen Sui, "This isn’t edible."
Good heavens, did you identify all the stuff you put in there?
Shen Sui muttered while glancing at the meal card in his hand.
Wang Ming...
Shen Sui suspiciously looked at Wang Ming beside him.
Wang Ming’s forehead immediately beaded with sweat: "I’m also a Life Card Master..."
His words sounded so lame.
Shen Sui rolled his eyes, returned the meal card to Wang Ming, and walked out the door with Alice.
Before that, he applied a skill to Alice, under which people without extraordinary powers would unconsciously ignore Alice, a sort of insurance for both sides.
"Home! Home!" Alice cheered, following behind Shen Sui.
For a moment, Shen Sui really felt like he was leading a daughter.
But a twenty-year-old dad with a sixteen-year-old daughter was indeed too odd.
However, upon reflection, according to the setting, I’m supposedly the same age as Vivian, over a thousand-year-old veteran.
In an instant, Shen Sui felt much more balanced.
Shen Sui walked to his car with the keys.
Though he often competed outside, after having money, a proper car was still a necessity, even if he always felt his family didn’t really need a car.
Alice moved very quickly; just as Shen Sui unlocked it, she was already sitting in the driver’s seat.
The two stared at each other for a few minutes.
"Can you drive?" Shen Sui asked after a long silence.
"Yes." Alice replied confidently.
Shen Sui was skeptical: "I’ve never seen that..."
Then Shen Sui saw a few fireballs appear on the car’s wheels.
The melting rubber flowed onto the cemented parking space, and Alice, teary-eyed, held her head crying in the passenger seat: "That’s how I drove before."
Shen Sui was speechless: "How many cars have you wrecked this way?"
"Never drove a car..." Alice whispered, "Three trains, count?"
Must’ve been trains from the Starry World when she drove them.
Shen Sui thought silently.
"But Claude, you still have a second car, huh?" Alice’s mood shifted quickly and she was soon lively again, curiously appraising the vehicle’s interior, still wafting away its scent.
Actually, I’ve prepared five cars.
Just in case you do something to my car because of some issue.
Shen Sui thought silently, then started the car’s engine.
Alice was very well-behaved; at least when she arrived in this world, she didn’t plan to make trouble intentionally.
Of course, because her views differed from the world’s, Alice would still cause some laughs.
Like trying to drive using fireballs or attempting to communicate with the person on the radio.
"Why doesn’t she listen to me!" Alice said angrily, pointing at the radio.
Because she can’t hear you at all! How are you two even chatting?
Alice probably thought the person was using magic to talk to her.
Sighing, Shen Sui drove into his parking space and said to Alice, "I left a room especially for you. You can decorate it to your liking; it shouldn’t take much time for you, right?"
"My own room?!"
Upon hearing the term, Alice’s eyes immediately lit up, brimming with anticipation.
She never imagined she could have her own room.
"I want to see! I want to see!" Alice excitedly flung open the car door...
Then, forgetting to unbuckle the seatbelt, the force of her rush directly snapped the seatbelt. And because she was too excited, she accidentally pulled the car door off.
Alice looked at the car door in her hand, somewhat aggrievedly looking at Shen Sui.
I really didn’t mean to...
Shen Sui helplessly covered his face.
Indeed, adapting Alice to the ordinary life in this world probably requires more time.
Though Alice looks like a delicate girl in her mid-teens, she shows no signs of brute strength.
In fact, in the Dawn Continent’s setting, as a Mage, she isn’t particularly known for strength either.
But that’s relative only to Warriors who level mountains effortlessly.
Alice is a bona fide twelfth-tier Mage, even the passive magic power enhancement enables her to possess strength and physique surpassing ordinary people in this world.
Worrying that Alice might be bullied by others... seems to be worrying too much.
