Chapter 191: Twisted Psychopaths

Ignoring their reactions for the moment, Nova turned toward Velena.

"Tell me more about the Eclipse Order."

Since he had been forced to finish the earlier fight in a hurry, he hadn’t been able to extract the dragon’s memories before killing him. He needed proper information.

Velena looked slightly surprised.

"I am a little shocked that you don’t already know about them, Lord Nova."

Edward spoke up from the side.

"Nova never really left the village until he turned fifteen. I never told him about groups like that either, so it’s normal that he doesn’t know."

Velena nodded in understanding.

Nyxara, on the other hand, felt a complicated emotion when she heard that he had remained in a small village until the age of fifteen. She chose not to ask for now, believing he would tell her when the time was right.

As for Rieka and Asia, they already knew a little about the Eclipse Order, so their expressions remained more composed.

Velena began explaining calmly.

"As you already know, the Bloodmoon Cult mainly serves the Demon Lords. They operate across every continent, carrying out killings and all kinds of crimes under their masters’ orders."

"The Eclipse Order, however, is different. It is a completely independent organization. Unlike most groups, it does not answer to a single leader. Instead, it is controlled by multiple commanders... and every one of them is a heinous criminal with a deeply twisted mindset."

She paused for a moment before continuing.

"When they saw how Demon Lord Raze had become such a terrifying existence because he carried the blood and genes of two powerful races, they became obsessed with the idea. They believed that was the sole reason he had grown strong enough that all five Emperors had to join forces just to kill him."

"What they completely disregarded was the fact that Demon Lord Raze’s bloodline had been blessed by both the Demon God and the Dragon God."

"In their madness, they came to a different conclusion. They believed that if they mixed the bloodlines of various races and combined the DNA of different species into a single being... they could create an existence similar to Demon Lord Raze."

Nova pondered for a moment before speaking.

"You say they are all controlled by multiple commanders, not a single leader. Surely, there must be someone who brought them all together—a supreme leader at the top."

Nova’s words were logical. Nyxara answered him before Velena could.

"There is a rumor that they have a Supreme Commander, though he has never shown himself in front of anyone. Most likely, he isn’t strong enough to appear personally... And those pathetic imbeciles operate very stealthily."

"Yes, Princess is right," Velena added. "Though I agree that they have some strong minions, unlike the Blood Moon Cult. However, they are far fewer in number."

Nova understood. Velena continued.

"So, they started collecting small children and infants from different races, mostly from poor and weak families, slums, and beggars. But even that wasn’t enough.

They began attacking villages and cities to capture children, slaughtering the rest of their families in the most gruesome ways."

Nova finally understood why they had been collecting the children—and why the rest of the villagers had been slaughtered.

Velena continued in a grim voice.

"Since breeding different races naturally was too slow and ineffective, they needed another method. Naturally, they would have required adult subjects for that..."

She paused, her expression filled with disgust.

"So they chose a more twisted path. They began experimenting on living children, attempting to artificially create such species through their bodies."

Everyone at the table fell silent. The disgust on their faces was unmistakable.

Nova suddenly regretted bringing up such a horrifying subject during dinner. Yet, despite that, curiosity got the better of him.

"Did they succeed?"

Velena looked at him before answering.

"Yes... and no."

She sighed.

"They did manage to create such mixed species, but their numbers were extremely small compared to the countless failures. And even those successful experiments were nothing more than weak hybrids. They were nothing like Demon Lord Raze."

Nova listened silently.

"When they launched an attack on the kingdom, those hybrids were deployed as well. But they were eventually killed, and the organization suffered a crushing defeat."

Velena’s expression darkened.

"However, that battle was only a trial for them. After their defeat, they went into hiding and continued their experiments in secret."

She clenched her fists slightly.

"And now, after such a long time, they have finally appeared again." Her voice became colder.

"Because they need more subjects."

Nova couldn’t believe there were people in this world so consumed by an uncertain obsession that they would go to such extremes.

Creating endless tragedies, slaughtering countless families, and destroying lives — all in the name of their mad experiments.

He quietly swore to himself that if he encountered those bastards again, he would make sure they suffered the same painful end he had given the other members of their group earlier that day.

By the time Velena finished her explanation, dinner had already come to an end.

Nova’s parents returned to the guest rooms prepared for them. Asia and Rieka also headed to their own rooms. The maids then guided Nyxara and Velena to their assigned chambers.

Nyxara clearly wanted to stay in the same room as Nova, but he told her that he still had a few matters to handle and asked her to rest first.

After that, Nova left the mansion and entered the system training space.

Inside, he found Liya resting on the bed with a book in her hands, clearly only pretending to read. Nova smiled faintly, walked over, and sat down beside her before opening his status panel.
