My Pervert Sytem
Chapter 196 Flooded Labyrinth
A refreshing surge of raw magical energy flooded his core, expanding his Mana reserves significantly.
Leon locked his intense midnight gaze back onto the High Priestess, his hand continuing its slow, dominant caress on his warlord’s leg.
"You see, Morgana," Leon whispered darkly. "Your divine purpose means absolutely nothing in this room. The true ruler of this empire belongs to me. You are just a disposable piece of trash standing in my way. Now, tell me about the fleet, or I will let the cook carve you into pieces."
The psychological assault was flawless. Morgana’s fanatical zeal violently crumbled, replaced by a cold, hollow terror. The realization that she was entirely irrelevant to the people holding her captive shattered her spirit faster than any physical torture could.
"The... the Void Leviathan," Morgana stammered, her voice cracking as tears of frustrated defeat leaked from her pale eyes. "The King did not bring a flagship. He brought a living siege weapon. A massive, mutated sea serpent bred in the deepest abysses of Vaeloria."
Leon stopped his caress, his tactical mind instantly processing the grim intelligence.
"Where is it?" Seraphina demanded, pulling herself slightly upright, though she remained seated securely on his lap.
Morgana swallowed hard, looking away from their dominant display.
"It is not attacking the harbor," the Priestess whispered, a broken, hysterical sob escaping her lips. "It is swimming beneath the city. It is using the ancient, flooded aqueducts you collapsed yesterday to bypass the seawall entirely. It is going to erupt directly beneath the inner keep."
Leon felt a cold, dangerous thrill pump through his veins. The Obsidian King had bypassed their entire coastal blockade using a subterranean monster. The true battle for the capital was not going to happen on the ocean. It was going to happen right underneath their feet.
---
The damp air of the subterranean dungeon felt suddenly freezing. The intelligence pulled from the fanatical priestess changed the trajectory of the entire war. The Obsidian King was not planning a traditional naval siege. The Vaelorian armada was merely a loud distraction meant to draw the coastal defenses away from the true threat.
Leon slowly slid Seraphina off his lap. He stood up from the wooden crate smoothing the wrinkles from his dark tailored trousers. He did not spare another glance at the bleeding captive tied to the stool. Morgana had outlived her usefulness.
"Julian," Leon commanded looking toward the open cell door where the young noble waited nervously. "Run to the surface. Find Isolde and Captain Nyx. Tell them to hold the harbor bombardment but divert their best close-quarters fighters to the palace cellars. We have a monster in the basement."
Julian nodded frantically sprinting up the spiraling stone stairs.
Seraphina drew her heavy broadsword. Her violet eyes burned with a focused predatory light. She marched out of the cell her boots ringing sharply against the wet stone.
"The ancient aqueducts connect directly to the foundational bedrock of the inner keep," Seraphina stated as they hurried down the dim corridor. "If a beast of that magnitude breaches the main support pillars the entire palace will collapse into a sinkhole."
Leon walked beside her processing the tactical terrain. "We need weapons suited for deep water combat. Swinging my blunt steel in a flooded tunnel will only drag me down."
They detoured through a forgotten section of the royal armory located just above the cellar levels. The room smelled of rusted iron and oiled leather. Dust covered racks of ceremonial spears and heavy halberds.
Leon bypassed the ornate swords and decorative axes. He found a massive heavy tungsten pike resting in a reinforced iron display case. The weapon was ten feet long boasting a dense jagged piercing tip designed to penetrate thick monster hides. He lifted the heavy metal shaft testing the balance. It was incredibly heavy but his monstrous physical strength handled the weapon like a simple wooden stick.
Valeriana met them at the entrance to the lower cellars. The beautiful spy held her glowing tracking compass. Her dark eyes scanned the erratic violet frequencies violently spiking on the crystal display.
"The water level is rising rapidly," Valeriana warned leading them down a narrow service stairwell. "The Leviathan is displacing thousands of gallons of seawater as it moves through the narrow drainage pipes. It is forcing the ocean directly into the palace foundations."
Beatrice and Elara followed closely behind. The Ice Queen carried a series of glowing blue runic stones prepared to flash-freeze the incoming flood. The crimson-haired cook looked incredibly uncomfortable. The damp oppressive humidity of the flooded cellars violently clashed with her natural fire magic.
The stairwell ended at a heavy rusted iron grate.
Leon kicked the grate open sending the metal plunging into a dark swirling pool of freezing water. The lowest level of the palace was already flooded up to their knees. The water was pitch black carrying the foul stench of rotting seaweed and corrupted Vaelorian blood magic.
They waded into the freezing abyss. The temperature dropped drastically.
Elara shivered holding her heavy steel cleaver above the water line. Her dark eyes darted nervously across the rippling surface. The fierce tyrant of the kitchens was clearly out of her element. Her fiery aura sputtered weakly against the overwhelming dampness.
A floating interface materialized in the gloom projecting a soft pink glow over the murky water.
[System Prompt: The Fire Mage’s Dread]
[Your fierce cook is terrified of the deep dark water. A true warlord turns a moment of vulnerability into a display of unyielding protection.]
[Objective: Stop wading. Pull Elara firmly against your chest, wrap your free arm around her waist, and whisper that she has nothing to fear while she belongs to you.]
[Reward: +20 Charisma, 500 Shameless Points.]
Leon paused his advance. He welcomed the chaotic prompt knowing that a distracted mage was a dead mage.
He turned around confronting the shivering cook. He reached out with his left arm grabbing her narrow waist. He pulled her athletic curves firmly against his broad torso lifting her slightly out of the freezing water.
Elara gasped her breath hitching as the blistering warmth of his body instantly chased away the unnatural chill. She instinctively rested her hands against his dark shirt gripping the fabric tightly.
"You have nothing to fear in this water Elara," Leon whispered his deep resonant voice vibrating against her ear. "As long as you belong to me nothing in the dark is going to pull you under."
The fierce cook swallowed hard. A brilliant red flush rapidly painted her pale cheeks fighting through her anxiety. The suffocating dread of the flooded tunnels melted away replaced by a profound intoxicating wave of romantic devotion. She leaned her head against his shoulder letting out a quiet breathless sigh.
A rushing tide of magnetic appeal fortified his features. The system acknowledged his success silently dissolving the glowing prompt.
He slowly lowered her back into the water offering a confident devastating smirk. Elara gripped her cleaver with renewed determination her fiery aura igniting with a steady confident rhythm.
"Keep your eyes on the waterline," Leon instructed shifting his grip on the heavy tungsten pike.
They waded deeper into the subterranean ruins. Massive stone pillars supported the vaulted ceiling holding up the unimaginable weight of the throne room above them. The water steadily rose to their waists slowing their movements.
Beatrice stepped to the front of the formation. She pressed her pale palms against the surface of the black water. She channeled a concentrated stream of frost mana creating a thick floating pathway of solid glacial ice.
"Stay on the ice," Beatrice commanded her piercing blue eyes glowing with cold focus. "I will maintain the structural integrity. We cannot fight a sea monster while treading water."
Leon climbed onto the frozen platform offering his hand to pull the others up. The ice groaned under his immense physical weight but the blonde maid poured more mana into the structure reinforcing the frozen raft.
The tracking compass in Valeriana’s hand suddenly shrieked. The crystal display flashed a blinding chaotic violet.
"It is here," the spy yelled pointing toward a massive dark archway located at the far end of the flooded chamber.
The black water violently churned. A massive tidal wave swelled from the darkness crashing against the ancient stone pillars.
A monstrous silhouette breached the surface.
The Void Leviathan was a nightmare dragged from the deepest oceanic trenches. It resembled a colossal serpentine eel covered in jagged black iron scales. Massive bioluminescent violet runes pulsed along its flanks shedding a sickly light across the flooded cavern. The beast possessed a terrifying jaw lined with hundreds of razor-sharp glowing teeth.
The monster let out a deafening ear-shattering shriek that vibrated through the foundational rock. It whipped its massive tail sending a torrential wave of freezing corrupted water directly toward their fragile ice platform.
Leon planted his boots firmly on the slippery surface. He braced the heavy tungsten pike against his hip ready to meet the apex predator of the deep. The subterranean war had officially begun.
