My Pervert Sytem
Chapter 191: Blood Pit
As they walked away from the roaring furnaces, the Ice Queen kept her piercing blue eyes fixed on his broad back. She was trembling slightly, but not from the cold.
Watching him casually dominate the stubborn, legendary blacksmith had sent a sharp, intoxicating thrill straight to her core.
Leon offered a satisfied nod, turning away from the anvil. He gestured for Beatrice to follow him back out into the smog-filled streets.
Leon noticed her ragged breathing. He stopped in the shadow of a towering brick chimney, turning to face her.
"You did exceptionally well maintaining the perimeter, Beatrice," Leon praised, his voice dropping into a dark, magnetic register.
He reached out, brushing a stray blonde curl behind her ear. His calloused fingers lingered against her freezing skin, sending a warm spark of kinetic energy down her neck.
Beatrice gasped, her professional demeanor melting instantly. A fierce blush painted her pale cheeks. She leaned into his touch, her eyes fluttering shut as she chased the comforting, blistering heat of his presence.
"I exist only to serve your will, Master," she breathed weakly, her devotion absolute and unwavering.
Leon smiled a dark, predatory grin. The military supply lines were secured, the loyalties of the capital were solidifying, and his beautiful faction was growing stronger by the hour. The Obsidian King was sailing into a trap, and Leon was going to enjoy springing it.
----
The subterranean levels of the lower merchant district were a labyrinth of forgotten vice. Far beneath the cobblestones, past the winding sewer grates and crumbling catacombs, lay the surviving remnants of the capital’s criminal empire.
Valeriana led the way, navigating the damp, dripping tunnels with flawless precision. The beautiful spy wore a dark leather vest and tight riding trousers, moving with a confident, lethal grace. She held a glowing crystal compass, tracking the erratic magical signatures bleeding through the stone walls.
Leon followed closely behind her. He wore a simple, dark combat tunic, his heavy blunt weapon resting securely on his broad shoulder. He kept his senses extended, listening to the muffled, rhythmic chanting echoing from the depths below.
"The Syndicate lost their political shield when the Chamberlain died," Valeriana explained, her voice barely a whisper in the gloom. "But they still control massive amounts of illicit wealth. They launder their stolen gold through underground fighting rings. The largest one is called the Blood Pit."
"And you want to shut it down," Leon reasoned, adjusting his grip on his dark steel blade.
"I want to absorb it," the information broker corrected, flashing a brilliant, calculating smile. "House Sterling needs liquid capital to fund the coastal defenses. If we raid the Blood Pit tonight, we can seize their treasury and break the morale of the remaining rogue mercenaries."
They reached a set of heavy, rusted iron doors guarded by two massive brutes. The guards were covered in gruesome gang tattoos, wielding jagged iron clubs. They radiated the weak, unstable energy of low-ranking Adepts.
Leon did not slow his stride. He projected a dense, suffocating wave of physical pressure, closing the distance in a terrifying blur. He didn’t even draw a weapon. He delivered a brutal, sweeping kick to the first guard’s knee, snapping the joint backward with a sickening crunch. As the man fell, Leon drove a heavy palm strike into the second guard’s chest, launching him into the iron doors.
The doors groaned, buckling under the impact and swinging inward.
A wall of noise and stale, blood-scented air washed over them.
The Blood Pit was a sprawling, cavernous arena carved directly into the bedrock. Thousands of bloodthirsty criminals, rogue mages, and exiled aristocrats screamed from the tiered stone seating. In the center of the room sat a sunken fighting pit surrounded by glowing, jagged magical wards.
Standing in the center of the bloody arena was a towering, heavily scarred gladiator holding a pair of serrated axes. He roared, kicking the lifeless body of his defeated opponent into the dirt.
"Next!" the gladiator bellowed, his voice amplified by a crude wind spell. "Who else wants to bleed for the Syndicate?"
Valeriana stepped onto the viewing balcony overlooking the pit. She leaned against the stone railing, her dark eyes scanning the frantic bookmakers collecting massive piles of gold coins near the VIP tables.
"That is Karn," Valeriana murmured, pointing down at the roaring champion. "He is a Tier Eight Master. The Syndicate uses him to intimidate the local gangs. He has never lost a match."
A glowing digital interface materialized in Leon’s vision, casting a pink hue over the roaring crowd below.
[System Directive: The Warlord’s Wager]
[Your brilliant quartermaster wants their gold, but she needs a champion to secure it. Prove that you own this underground world.]
[Action Required: Lean close to Valeriana. Rest your hand on her lower back, wink at her, and tell her to bet every single coin she has on the feral beast. Then jump directly into the pit.]
[Reward: +25 Agility, 600 Shameless Points.]
Leon chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that promised imminent violence. He welcomed the chaotic prompt. Face-slapping an arrogant gladiator in front of a massive crowd was exactly what he needed to stretch his muscles.
He stepped up beside the beautiful spy. He reached out, resting his large, calloused hand firmly against the curve of her lower back. The blistering heat of his touch instantly seeped through her dark leather vest.
Valeriana gasped softly, her breath catching as his towering frame boxed her against the stone railing. She looked up, her mysterious eyes wide and searching.
"Bet every single coin you have on the feral beast," Leon whispered darkly, offering a confident, devastating wink.
Before the flustered spy could formulate a response, Leon vaulted over the stone railing.
He dropped thirty feet into the sunken arena, landing heavily on the blood-soaked dirt. He bent his thick knees, flawlessly absorbing the massive kinetic impact. The crowd went dead silent, staring in profound shock at the towering stranger who had just crashed their tournament.
Karn the gladiator sneered, spinning his serrated axes. The massive brute looked Leon up and down, sensing zero formal magical lineage.
"You took a wrong turn, pretty boy," Karn mocked, spitting a wad of dark phlegm onto the dirt. "This pit is for real killers. Not magicless street rats."
Leon stood up slowly, rolling his broad shoulders. He did not draw his heavy dark weapon. He casually tossed the massive blade aside, letting it stab deeply into the earth. He cracked his knuckles, a grim, predatory smile spreading across his striking face.
"I am going to beat you to death with my bare hands," Leon stated, his deep voice carrying a terrifying, demonic resonance.
The gladiator roared in fury, charging forward with explosive speed. He channeled a dense surge of earth mana into his axes, aiming a devastating cross-slash directly at Leon’s neck.
Leon activated his spatial footwork. He didn’t dodge backward; he stepped directly inside the swinging arcs.
He moved with blinding, imperceptible speed. He grabbed Karn’s thick wrists, halting the deadly weapons in mid-air. The gladiator strained, his eyes bulging as he tried to overpower the magicless intruder.
Leon channeled a massive, overwhelming wave of Kinetic Weight directly into his arms. He forcefully twisted, snapping both of the gladiator’s wrists with a loud, crisp crack that echoed throughout the silent cavern.
Karn screamed, dropping the serrated axes.
Leon did not hesitate. He drove a brutal, rising knee directly into the man’s chest, shattering his breastplate and cracking his ribs. As Karn doubled over, Leon delivered a devastating, spinning heel kick to the side of the gladiator’s head.
The concussive impact launched the massive brute sideways. He crashed heavily into the jagged magical wards bounding the pit, his body going completely limp before he hit the dirt.
The fight lasted exactly four seconds.
The thousands of criminals packing the stone bleachers stared in pure, unadulterated horror. Their invincible champion had been effortlessly dismantled by a man using nothing but raw, terrifying physics.
[Quest Complete. Stat Rewards Distributed.]
A massive rush of pure speed flooded his nervous system, his Agility reaching new, monstrous heights.
Leon stood over the broken gladiator, projecting his heavy Intimidation Aura. The suffocating physical pressure rolled over the crowd, crushing the ambient mana in the room.
"The Syndicate is dead," Leon announced, his voice echoing like thunder. "This pit belongs to House Sterling now. Hand over the gold, or I start breaking more than just wrists."
Up on the viewing balcony, Valeriana watched the brutal display of dominant power. Her dark eyes were hazy with a chaotic fog of breathless submission.
The strict, calculating spy was completely captivated by the feral warlord.
She signaled her hidden operatives, initiating the hostile takeover of the illicit treasury. The night was a flawless victory, and she was eager to collect her personal reward.
