My Pervert Sytem
Chapter 146: Emerald Bet
The evening sky over the Solarian Capital turned a deep, bruised purple, casting long shadows across the immaculate gardens of the Sterling estate.
The manor was buzzing with a renewed, vibrant energy.
The local staff moved with brisk motivation, terrified of Beatrice’s freezing discipline but deeply relieved to have endless supplies of food and fresh water.
Deep inside the estate kitchens, Elara was violently chopping herbs with her heavy cleaver. The crimson-haired cook radiated a blistering wave of annoyed fire mana as she basted a massive, perfectly roasted wild fowl.
"I cannot believe I am cooking a gourmet meal for a Vane," Elara grumbled, aggressively sprinkling rare spices over the crispy golden skin.
Leon leaned casually against the oak preparation island, freshly bathed and dressed in a crisp dark tailored suit that fit his athletic frame flawlessly.
He chuckled darkly at her blatant jealousy.
"You are cooking a gourmet meal for me, Elara," Leon corrected smoothly, reaching out to trace his calloused finger down her bare arm. "Isolde just happens to be sitting at the same table."
Elara shivered under his touch, her fiery annoyance instantly melting into a puddle of warm submission.
She shot him a dark, knowing glare before plating the exquisite meal onto fine silver platters.
A few moments later, Leon walked into a secluded, luxurious private dining room located in the eastern wing of the manor.
A roaring fire crackled in the stone hearth, casting a warm, romantic glow over the plush velvet chairs and the polished mahogany table.
Right on time, the heavy oak doors clicked open.
Isolde Vane stepped into the room, and the very air seemed to pause.
She had followed his instructions. The heavy steel breastplate and the strict military tabard were gone. Instead, the Emerald Knight wore a breathtaking, form-fitting evening gown crafted from deep green silk.
The dress featured a daring slit up the right thigh and a plunging neckline that showcased her soft, pale curves with flawless aristocratic elegance.
Her vibrant green hair was no longer tied in a strict braid, cascading freely over her bare shoulders in soft, mesmerizing waves.
Leon felt his heartbeat accelerate. The fierce, untouchable rival knight looked like a dark, intoxicating dream.
Isolde stopped near the doorway, her fingers nervously twisting the fabric of her skirt. She was entirely out of her element.
She knew how to command battalions and duel assassins, but standing unarmed in front of the terrifying beast who had shattered a Tier Three Grandmaster’s attack left her feeling completely exposed.
"You look absolutely stunning, Isolde," Leon murmured, his deep voice wrapping around her like a heavy blanket.
He walked smoothly across the room, closing the distance before her flight instincts could kick in.
He offered his arm with flawless gentlemanly grace.
Isolde hesitated for a fraction of a second before resting her delicate hand on his thick forearm.
The blistering heat radiating from his muscles instantly seeped through the silk of her dress, sending a visible jolt of electricity straight up her spine.
He guided her toward the mahogany table, smoothly pulling out her velvet chair.
A digital interface hummed to life in his vision, dropping a glowing text box directly over the roasted fowl resting on the silver platter.
[System Directive: A Knight’s Vulnerability]
[Target: Isolde Vane. The proud warrior feels entirely exposed without her steel. Break down her final aristocratic walls.]
[Goal: Pour her a glass of dark wine, intentionally brush your rough fingers against hers.]
[Reward: +15 Charisma, 400 Shameless Points.]
Leon did not sigh or pause to consider the prompt. He acted instantly, embracing the scandalous tension.
He picked up a heavy crystal decanter, pouring a generous measure of rich dark wine into her glass.
As he set the decanter down, he deliberately dragged his rough, calloused fingers across her soft knuckles.
Isolde gasped sharply, her bright green eyes flying wide open. She looked up at his striking features, her breath hitching erratically.
"You seem tense," Leon whispered, leaning down so his face hovered dangerously close to hers. "You do not need to wear your armor when you are with me, Isolde. You are perfectly safe here."
The sheer dominance of his words completely bypassed her military discipline. A brilliant, furious red flush rapidly painted her pale cheeks.
She opened her mouth to deliver a biting retort about House Vane’s superiority, but the words died in her throat.
[Quest Complete. Rewards Distributed.]
A massive surge of magnetic appeal flooded his features, elevating his Charisma to an absurd two hundred and five points.
The air in the private dining room grew incredibly heavy, saturated with a thick, undeniable romantic gravity.
Leon took the seat opposite her, offering a dark, knowing smirk as she desperately grabbed her wine glass and took a large, entirely unladylike gulp.
"I only agreed to this dinner because I am a woman of my word," Isolde stammered, trying to rebuild her shattered composure. "Do not mistake this for a political alliance, Warden."
"I am not interested in politics tonight," Leon replied smoothly, carving a generous portion of the roasted fowl and placing it on her silver plate. "I am interested in learning more about the self proclaimed fiercest knight in the capital."
The conversation flowed effortlessly as they ate.
Leon guided the discussion away from the Syndicate and the dead Chamberlain, focusing entirely on her.
He asked about her brutal training regimen in the Vane courtyards, praising her dedication while subtly dropping heavy, scandalous compliments about her athletic physique.
Isolde found herself talking more freely than she ever had in her entire life.
The terrifying feral beast sitting across from her was an exceptional listener. He didn’t treat her like a political pawn or a fragile noblewoman.
He treated her like a fierce, dangerous equal.
By the time the silver platters were empty, the heavy aristocratic walls guarding her heart were crumbling into dust.
She looked across the table, her green eyes hazy with the dark wine and the overwhelming intoxicating pull of his raw masculine charm.
"You are a very dangerous man, Leon," Isolde whispered softly, her voice losing all its usual haughty edge.
"I can be far more dangerous if you want me to be," Leon murmured, standing up from his chair.
He extended his hand across the table, issuing a silent, undeniable invitation to cross the final boundary.
The Emerald Knight stared at his calloused palm, knowing that taking it meant completely surrendering her fierce independence.
She reached out, letting her soft fingers tangle into his, and allowed him to pull her gently out of her velvet chair.
