Chen Yuan couldn’t take his eyes off Jiangg Yao. It was a strange feeling—if she weren’t his girlfriend, a single stunning glimpse of her on the street would have probably left his heart pounding for a long time.

Perhaps this was fate.

There was a saying that had been making the rounds online for a long time, something along the lines of: "How could your heart only flutter once for the person who’s already made it flutter before?" This wasn’t just baseless talk; upon reflection, there was a certain romance to it.

The car honked twice—BEEP BEEP—as it slowly pulled up beside Jiangg Yao. She opened the passenger door and slid in, instantly filling the car with a sweet fragrance.

"Why the high heels today? I thought you said they’re uncomfortable to walk in," he asked, curious.

"Well, if we’re going out shopping, I have to look nice. I just bought this dress last month. It looks good with these heels, don’t you think?"

"It looks great."

"I’m glad you like it. My young master is so kind, willing to take me out shopping. I couldn’t possibly dress down and embarrass him." Jiangg Yao fluffed her bangs and winked at him.

A faint smile played on Chen Yuan’s lips.

They drove to the recently opened Wanlong Square. It was a Friday, so the mall was exceptionally crowded. They spent over ten minutes just looking for a parking spot, finally snagging one only after someone else pulled out.

It was a proven fact that taking either Jiangg Yao or Jiangg Ning out meant becoming the center of attention. They were both naturally stunning, effortlessly outshining every other woman in sight.

From the elevator ride up to the main shopping area on the fourth floor, the two of them felt the constant pressure of people’s gazes.

’Thank goodness I’ve never taken both sisters out shopping at the same time,’ Chen Yuan thought. ’The attention would be absolutely overwhelming.’

’Yaoyao alone draws this much of a spotlight; I can’t even imagine what it would be like with the immensely charismatic Ningning.’

The smile hadn’t left Jiangg Yao’s face since they arrived. Once they entered the fourth-floor retail area, she completely let loose, dragging Chen Yuan into a shop and making a beeline for the accessories.

The store was filled with a dazzling array of things that girls love, every item looking delicate and exquisite. There were hundreds of different hair clips alone, taking up an entire rack.

Jiangg Yao tried on one thing after another in front of the mirror. She didn’t spare Chen Yuan either, pulling him over and playfully putting things on his head as her bell-like giggles echoed through the shop.

He couldn’t bring himself to refuse outright and just had to go along with it. Every so often, people would cast envious glances their way, many of them other couples out shopping.

"Isn’t this stuffed animal cute?"

"It’s okay."

"And this one?"

"It’s so-so."

"Hey, Young Master, hold this Squirtle. I’ll take a picture of you," Jiangg Yao called out, turning back after walking a few steps away.

"Don’t call me Young Master in public..." Chen Yuan rushed over to cover her mouth.

He glanced around furtively, like a thief, and his face flushed red within seconds.

"Then what should I call you?" Jiangg Yao pushed his hand away, her eyes darting about playfully, a mischievous glint in them. "Huuu-bbyyy..."

"Please, Yaoyao, give me a break..." An expression of pure agony immediately appeared on Chen Yuan’s face.

He really couldn’t handle this kind of teasing; he was, at his core, shy and reserved.

Jiangg Yao blinked her starlit eyes, her gaze fixed on him, and him alone.

She pressed her rosy lips together, holding back a laugh. Then, a demure smile bloomed on her face, one more beautiful than any landscape on Earth.

Who would have thought she was the same withdrawn girl from a few years ago?

Having fallen in love, she had blossomed like a flower in the spring.
