My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 346: Assigning Tasks

Everyone knew about the enmity between these two factions.

Then, the Seven Kills Sword Master said to both sides, "Alright, that's enough arguing. Now that this has been settled, everyone will strictly abide by it. If any of you dares to defy this, just you wait."

"You got lucky, kid!" Xue Fengjian snorted.

The man was furious, but the Seven Kills Sword Master had spoken. He couldn't say anything more, not daring to challenge the Sword Master's authority.

"Xue Wujian, how are your injuries?" the Seven Kills Sword Master asked.

"Sword Master, I'm fine. I just need a few days of rest. But that kid sneak-attacked me. We can't just let this go," Xue Wujian said.

"Hah, you've got some nerve. Say one more word, and I'll dice you right now." Chu Feng hadn't planned on dwelling on the matter, but he was infuriated that this guy dared to bring it up again.

"Both of you, shut up! I'll say this one last time: no infighting! Otherwise, I won't be merciful. A great many experts are coming to this Martial Arts Grand Ceremony, including quite a few at the Martial Arts Limit!"

"I have received reliable information that people are coming from the Three Mountains and Five Peaks, the major Divine Mountains, and even the Outer Sea Divine Mountain. What do you think you're doing, fighting amongst yourselves at a time like this!" the Seven Kills Sword Master rebuked angrily.

"Sword Master, are people from the Overseas Divine Mountain really coming this time? I thought they never participated in the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony," someone asked in astonishment.

"That's right. They've decided to participate, which means they're definitely coming here to stir up trouble. We're under immense pressure, so there must be absolutely no infighting!" said the Seven Kills Sword Master.

"I heard the Red Blood Sect has also come out of seclusion and plans to participate in this year's Martial Arts Grand Ceremony. Sword Master, isn't that against the rules?" someone asked.

"There's no such thing as 'against the rules.' If they dare to show up, let them. We have no idea how strong they've become. If a conflict were to erupt, the outcome would be uncertain," the Seven Kills Sword Master said.

"Say no more. From what I've gathered, nearly all the sects that went into seclusion in the past—no matter how long ago—will be re-emerging for this. There will be nearly twenty experts at the Martial Arts Limit alone, to say nothing of those at the Martial Arts Peak. Therefore, all of you must remain on high alert. Do not, under any circumstances, fight amongst yourselves," the Seven Kills Sword Master admonished once more.

"If those bastards dare to cause trouble during the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony, we'll cut them down, no matter who they are," someone said furiously.

"It would be best to persuade them to leave peacefully. If they refuse to listen, then we will drive them out by force," said the Seven Kills Sword Master.

"And what if an expert at the Martial Arts Limit makes a move? What's your plan then?" Chu Feng asked, looking at the Seven Kills Sword Master.

"If any Martial Arts Limit expert dares to act, I will deal with them myself," the Seven Kills Sword Master replied.

"What if several of them attack at once?" Chu Feng pressed.

"It's not as if our Great Snow Mountain lacks experts at the Martial Arts Limit. What is there to fear?" the Seven Kills Sword Master said coolly, his eyes fixed on Chu Feng.

"Good. In that case, I can rest assured," Chu Feng said with a nod.

"Hah, a mere Huang Mao kid like you dares to speak so boldly! You truly don't know your place!" Xue Fengjian sneered.

"Then let me ask you, do you?" Chu Feng asked with a smile.

"Alright, that's enough. I will now assign your duties. The Big Snow Plateau is vast and requires all of you to spread out and stand guard. The two at the Martial Arts Peak from the Celestial Sword Sect will guard the south," said the Seven Kills Sword Master.

He was the leader of the twenty-four Martial Arts Venerables on Great Snow Mountain, their recognized commander.

"Understood," Bai Han replied with a nod. Since they had come here, they were naturally expected to follow orders.

Chu Feng had no objections either.

After all the assignments were distributed, Chu Feng, Bai Han, and two Martial Arts Venerables from the Three Swords Sect were tasked with guarding the southern sector and ensuring its stability.

A structure resembling a Daoist temple had been built there, where they could stay during the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony.

The entire Martial Arts Grand Ceremony would last for about a month, and for the duration, Chu Feng was to remain on guard within this temple.

After all, everyone had witnessed Chu Feng's power. His strength was undeniable—he was incredibly formidable.

Everyone's assessment of Chu Feng's strength could be summed up in a single word: badass.

The two Martial Arts Venerables from the Three Swords Sect were inwardly relieved. Being stationed with Chu Feng significantly increased their security and peace of mind.

The twenty-four Martial Arts Venerables were stationed to guard in six directions, with four assigned to each post.

If anything happened on the Big Snow Plateau, they could intervene and arrive on the scene immediately.

Once their posts were assigned, Chu Feng would stay in the temple during the day but would return to his own quarters at night.

After all, when he had a wife to hold in his arms at night, why would he choose to sleep alone in an empty room?

By all rights, the rules required Chu Feng to remain at his post without leaving, as an incident could occur at any moment during this time.

However, the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony hadn't officially started yet, so no one said anything. Besides, Chu Feng was not someone to be trifled with; his power was immense.

He was young, impulsive, and spoiling for a fight, so everyone simply turned a blind eye.
