My Martial Spirit is Nanobot
Chapter 430 Stray Walker
Outside the third omniverse, where Lin Lee currently resides, his true physical body rests in a cross-legged position within a hidden dimension he created. Silence hangs heavily in the air around him. Suddenly, he opens his eyes and looks downward.
"So, this is how it works," Lin Lee muttered thoughtfully, focusing on the ’Infinite Syndicate’ talent. "This ability is not triggered by my clone, but by my original self." He watches a tiny, familiar dot in his soul space that displays the status of his clone, who is currently in his origin space.
"Origin space and source talent... This is really fascinating. Everything happening in this omniverse feels like a deep, unfathomable mystery," Lin Lee mutters. His vision passes through the dimension, observing the third omniverse where his clone is currently situated.
"With this ’Infinite Syndicate’ talent, I can share anything with my clone, ignoring any restrictions. This includes the wishing ability of the golden star in my soul, my dao book, and other treasures I possess. Even the strength of my original body can be shared, though there is a limit; it acts like a boost, and a clone can only hold as much power as its body can handle. Regardless, even if I share just a single particle of divine power, it will be enough for my clone to take over an entire universe."
Lin Lee whispers to himself, then closes his eyes. Through the connection in his soul space, his consciousness returns to his clone body using the ’Infinite Syndicate’ talent, leaving his original form floating silently in the hidden dimension like an empty shell.
...
Back in his personal Origin Space, Lin Lee opens his eyes. He glances around the six-cubic-meter area and checks his origin panel, which is still flickering before him.
"It is time to leave this place. I want to see what the main world on the other side is like. Plus, I am not worried anymore because I can share anything from my original body. This ’Infinite Syndicate’ talent will be incredibly useful in the future as I work to dominate this chaotic expanse."
After speaking, his expression turns firm. He closes the panel, raises his hand, and whispers, "Before I leave, I should get a protection amulet, just in case some kind of danger is waiting for me outside."
A moment later, the dot representing his original body in his soul space shook, and a dark cube materialized. It appears in his hand, flickering and trembling with a steady rhythm, as if infinite transformations are occurring inside it at every moment.
"Nanobots, my martial spirit."
Lin Lee says with a smile. The cube flickers and transforms into a dark watch on his wrist. He glances around, takes a deep breath, and sends an exit command with a single thought. Slowly, his figure blurs and disappears from the Origin Space.
...
On the other hand, the change of scenery was in an instant.
The sterile, silent white atmosphere of the Origin Space vanishes, replaced by the sudden, overwhelming sensation of a living world.
Lin Lee felt the soft, cool grass beneath his feet and breathed in the sharp, clean scent of mountain air. He stood on a vast, rolling plain that stretches toward distant, jagged peaks, which pierce the hazy blue horizon like the teeth of a sleeping beast.
He turns around, his eyes narrowing as he studies the sight behind him. Floating a few feet above the ground is a massive, teardrop-shaped portal. It pulses with a rhythmic, hypnotic energy, flickering with a chaotic spectrum of colorful lights. It sometimes turns transparent, offering distorted glimpses into a void that defies logic. It is like a jagged wound in reality... beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
Swish!
Before he could observe the anomaly fully, the high-pitched hum of anti-gravity engines cut through the silence. A sleek, metallic floating vehicle flies over a nearby hill and stops a few meters away, kicking up a cloud of dust and dry grass. Four figures jump from the craft before it has fully landed, moving with the practiced precision of a tactical unit.
They surround him in a tight semicircle, their weapons leveled with lethal intent. One holds a vibrating spirit-sword that hums with a low frequency; another pulls back a composite bow where a glowing arrow of pure energy sits notched; the remaining two grip advanced tech rifles, the muzzles glowing with a faint, blue readiness.
"Freeze!" one of them shouts, his voice amplified by his helmet’s communication system. "This is the Luo clan’s domain! Do not move, or you will be taking a risk!"
’They are so fast,’ Lin Lee thinks, his internal calm contrasting with the chaotic situation. ’I thought it would take a while for someone to notice my arrival. The surveillance in this Main World is much more advanced than in the sects of the minor realms.’
He does not resist. He calmly raises his hands, palms open and visible, and slowly turns to face them. Their tactical uniforms are high-quality, reinforced with flexible plates and marked with a distinct symbol: a stylized tree with roots that look like circuit lines, and the bold letters Luo Co. printed beneath it.
"I am sorry," Lin Lee says, his voice trembling slightly to project the image of a confused, terrified newcomer. "I did not know this place belonged to anyone. I just... I just appeared here, and I don’t know how. Please, I do not want any trouble."
The four of them didn’t relax their vigilance after hearing his words, the archer kept his bowstring pulled tight, his eyes fixed on Lin Lee’s chest. "Luo Yu, go and check his identity."
Luo Yu, a man with a serious, angular face, nods once. He lowers his blade, the tactical armor on his frame whirring softly as he steps forward. He taps a series of commands onto the interface on his right wrist. A fan of green, crystalline light spreads outward, sweeping over Lin Lee in a steady, rhythmic pulse. It scans him up and down, once, twice, and three times, searching for an internal signal that does not exist.
Beep!
The rhythm stops. A harsh, red light flickers across the small display on Luo Yu’s wrist, and the scanner’s robotic voice announces, "No match found."
The mood in the circle changes instantly. The archer’s arrow seems to tremble with new lethality, and the two riflemen behind Lin Lee shift their stances, their fingers tightening on their triggers. The atmosphere is no longer just suspicious; it is filled with the cold, calculated alertness of people prepared to neutralize a threat.
"Who are you?" the one with the bow growls, abandoning his relaxed posture and stepping forward to loom over Lin Lee. His shadow stretches long across the dry grass. "Hurry up. Identify yourself, or we will not be responsible for what happens to you."
Luo Yu, however, remains still, his thumb hovering over his wrist interface. He looks up, shifting his gaze from the scanner to the sword-wielder. "Wait, brother."
The bow man immediately stopped, looking at Luo Yu visibly annoyed. "Wait for what? He is off the grid. He is likely an infiltrator or a spy from one of the other clans."
"No," Luo Yu mutters, his eyes narrowing as he studies Lin Lee’s expression, he can see the look of confusion on his face. "Look at his reaction. There is no fear of our technological rifles. He is just staring at sword and bow in our hand. It looks like... he is one of those stray walkers."
The term hangs in the air like a heavy stone. The sword-wielder, along with the two riflemen behind him, visibly pulls back in shock. The tension does not vanish, but it transforms... shifting from the suspicion of an enemy to the wary curiosity of meeting a legend.
Luo Yu steps closer to Lin Lee, his voice losing its aggressive edge, replaced by a professional demand for information. "Can you tell us in detail how you appeared here? And do not leave anything out."
Lin Lee meets Luo Yu’s gaze, maintaining the look of subtle, trembling nervousness that he perfected. He knows what a "stray walker" is... the poor people who drift through portals unknowingly, disconnected from the established hierarchy of this world. He swallows, appearing to struggle with his composure, and begins to speak.
"I... I do not really know where I am," Lin Lee begins, his voice wavering. "I was living in a village with my parents. I have been there my whole life. A while ago... bandits attacked. It was really chaotic, they killed everyone in the village. My parents gave me an oath and forced me to run away. They also handed me a special crystal and told me to break it only when I reached a safe place."
He pauses, looking down at his clenched hands, his knuckles turning white. "I ran until I could not run anymore, and I broke the crystal. There was a flash... and then I was in this strange, white, silent space. Things appeared there... some kind of projections, an inexplicable memory appeared in my mind... that showed me how to... how to operate it. After I followed the instructions, I felt a surge of energy. I awakened a talent, and this mark appeared." He holds up his left hand, making sure the mark is faint and barely visible. "I just wanted to leave that place, to find my parents again, and then I blinked, and I was here. In this field."
